The Man Who Could Have Been President – Paul Ryan explains why he decided not to run. Polls of candidates and potential candidates showed that Congressman Ryan could have won the nomination and the presidency. But the smartest man in the room by far chose duty to country over personal ambition, saying he could do more in the house to try and fix this effed up country than he could as president. With my hopes dashed, I see no conservative in the race now with what it takes to ensure victory in 2012, let alone to save our country. And I hope to God that Sarah Palin stays the hell out of this race — one not-so-bright candidate who wears his religion on his sleeve is quite enough, thank you.
