You don’t expect modesty from a guy who wrote two autobiographies by the time he was forty despite the handicap of having accomplished nothing to that point in his life. And when that guy is Barack Obama, he delivers on that anticipated lack of modesty.
AFP reports the President’s glowing opinion of himself:
“I’ve been inspired by you. Wherever I go, traveling across this country, especially when I meet young people, I’m reminded of your energy, and your drive, and your imagination,” Obama told several hundred young people.
“For all the problems we’re going through right now, we still have the best workers on earth, the finest universities on earth, we’ve got the best entrepreneurs on earth, we’ve got the freest, most vibrant economy on earth,” he said.
One female supporter then yelled out “the best president on earth” and Obama replied, “Well, I won’t say that, but we got a pretty good president.”
Right. And when unemployment gets down to 9%, he’ll deserve a spot on Mount Rushmore.
