Maybe so, Governor, but you’d be surprised how many of those stupid Americans are smart enough to spell ‘liberal elitist’.
You’ve surely read the story of Joe Biden leaning over to President Obama and saying, “This is f@ckin’ big” during Tuesday’s ObamaCare signing ceremony. But c’mon, man, this is Joe Biden. The man is too big to screw up just once a day.
Greek? Roman? Aw, what the hell. It's all Greek to Joe Biden.

Top of the Ticket reveals Joe’s other special moment:
Biden is fond of quoting poets in public, usually Irish ones and often in the Mideast for some reason. But today the man who was a senator while Obama was in the sixth grade chose another nationality.
Here’s what he said, according to the White House transcript:
As I said just before the president signed the healthcare bill, I quoted Virgil, the classic Greek poet, who once said, ‘The greatest wealth is health.’ The greatest wealth is health. Mr. President, you’ve made us a nobler and wealthier nation by providing for the health of your fellow citizens.
Here’s the problem, as loyal Ticket reader Mike points out:
Virgil wasn’t Greek. He was Roman. Very Roman. So Roman, in fact, that the author (70 BC-19 BC) of the “Aeneid,” among other famous works, is buried in Naples.
“Stand up, Virgil, let ‘em see you. Oh, what am I talking about?”
The White House is all smiles, the citizenry is mostly placated, and the media are ignoring our real problems. But, underneath all that, the survival of America as we know it is at stake. People paying attention are seeing the decline of America’s power, and see the fall coming on more quickly than most of us would expect.

One such thinker is David Murrin, CIO of Emergent Asset Management and author of Breaking the Code of History, who outlined the currently unfolding scenario to CNBC’s Squawk Box Europe. He contends that the course Obama has put America on with Obamacare reminds him of the dismantling of the British empire after World War II, when the nation created their National Health Service, which ensures universal health coverage in Britain. But the Obama Administration is not only setting us on this path with his social policy, he is also appeasing our enemies around the world.

“Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.”

Unf–ingbelievable. The day liberals have been waiting for, what Obama spent his entire first year on, the bill that’s been “100 years in the making.” And what does Joe Biden have to say about it? He whispers to President Obama, with millions watching–and listening–“this is a big f–king deal!”

The Obama administration: Fascist. Dishonest. Vulgar.
Our president has a bit of a problem with telling the truth. No, let’s be more clear, he’s a pathological liar. Today, we see that he’s about to break the promise he so sternly made back on the campaign trail, when he said the “public will have five days to look at every bill that lands on my desk” before he signs it into law. It looks like Obamacare won’t even make it two days.

To recap, in that campaign speech candidate Obama manages to tell seven, count ’em, seven lies in only two minutes.
Make government ppen and transparent
Make it “impossible” for congressmen to slip in pork barrel projects
Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public
No more secrecy
Public will have 5 days to look at a bill before signing
The President, Vice President, cabinet members and top White House staff are all exempt from ObamaCare. And Republican Senator Chuck Grassley wants to change that.
You're a dreamer, Chuck Grassley, a dreamer
The President, Vice President, cabinet members and top White House staff are all exempt from ObamaCare. And Republican Senator Chuck Grassley wants to change that.
“It’s pretty unbelievable that the President and his closest advisors remain untouched by the reforms they pushed for the rest of the country. In other words, President Obama’s health care reform won’t apply to President Obama,” Grassley said. “Last December, the effort to apply any new law to administration political leaders was rejected by the Senate Majority Leader. But there’s no justification for the double standard, and I’ll continue to work to establish fairness.”
The Senate legislation passed…by the House of Representatives includes an amendment Grassley sponsored and got adopted by the Finance Committee last fall to have members of Congress and their staffs get their health insurance through the same health insurance exchanges where health plans for the general public would be available. During the closed-door negotiations on the bill late last year, the Senate Majority Leader carved out Senate committee and leadership staff from this requirement.
Subsequently, Grassley and Senator Tom Coburn attempted to offer another amendment to restore the requirement during Senate debate on the health care bill, but the Senate Majority Leader would not let their amendment to fix this loophole even come up for a vote. In addition to Senate committee and leadership staff, the amendment Grassley and Coburn filed during the Senate debate would have made the President, the Vice President, top White House staff and cabinet members all get their health insurance through the newly created exchanges. It would not have applied to federal employees in the civil service.
Grassley said, “It’s only fair and logical that top administration officials, who fought so hard for passage of this overhaul of America’s health care system, experience it themselves. If it’s as good as promised, they’ll know it first-hand. If there are problems, they’ll be able to really understand them, as they should.”
Grassley said the motivation for his amendments is simple: public officials who make the laws or lead efforts to have laws changed should live under those laws.
Let’s reverse this, Senator Grassley, and demand that the kind of healthcare the top Democrats receive.
Hairplugs like Joe Biden’s for everyone! Botox like Nancy Pelosi’s for everyone. Dull pills like Harry Reid’s for everyone!
Workers of the world unite. In song, that is. Now that ObamaCare has passed and America is officially a socialist nation, you might as well begin learning The Internationale, the anthem of socialists around the world.

Taxes are, like, hard to understand, and stuff. It’s even worse when you’ve spent your entire political career creating new taxes and fees and tax categories and tax loopholes. Just ask Nancy Pelosi who has a hard time figuring out exactly what a tax on unearned income is. Pelosi was explaining a new tax that will help pay for Obamacare.
Pelosi checks political winds before she decides to talk about capital gains taxes, whatever they are.

Just ask Nancy Pelosi who has a hard time figuring out exactly what a tax on unearned income is. Pelosi was explaining a new tax that will help pay for Obamacare.
When a reporter asked whether that meant there would be additional tax on capital gains, Pelosi responded the tax would hit all “unearned income, whatever category that is.”
The reporter dared to actually repeat the question again, “So, capital gains?”
And Pelosi retorted, “No, unearned income, whatever category that is.”
OK, by the way, Nancy, unearned income is, in part, defined as: Income from interest, dividends, annuities, royalties, and rents, other than such income which is derived in the ordinary course of a trade or business.
Sounds a lot like capital gains to us.
But what do we know? We don’t create taxes, we just pay ‘em.
ObamaCare will undoubtedly go down in history as the most corrupt bill ever passed. And to make it even worse, most of the bribes took place right out in public.
Just in case anyone’s been sleeping through this debacle, Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) recited a list of all the bribes and payoffs just before the vote took place.

Michael Moore was kind enough to send us an email this morning. We thought we’d share with you his mocking, lecture, which he addressed to all republicans.
You better get used used to it. Now that Obamacare has passed, and the march to socialism is on, full speed ahead, from our Salinsky-trained, ridiculing president at the top, all the way down to slime like Michael Moore in the gutters of the far left, they are coming after you, with taunting derision now that their Chicago-style “do anything it takes” party of vermin has beaten us on this pivotal issue.
Fellow seekers of liberty: harness the outrage you feel from the volley of jeering attacks to come, out of the lying mouths of those we most despise, to sustain your anger, and channel it into every productive thing you can do to both repeal this bill and to remove the corrupt democrats and any irresolute republicans from office this November.
OK, go ahead and say it. “You guys at IHateTheMedia.com have some strange reading habits.”
That being said, Graham Ford writes in his laugh-filled article “The Ancient Art of Bloodletting” that “The practice of bloodletting seemed logical when the foundation of all medical treatment was based on the four body humors: blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. Health was thought to be restored by purging, starving, vomiting or bloodletting.”
Democrat bleeding a taxpayer dry.

Admittedly this is all horrible sounding stuff. Bloodletting, vomiting, starving, purging, Botox (OK, we stuck that last one in there) are all ancient remedies that no one in their right mind would ever recommend. No one.
But given the Democrats’ proclivity for re-doing things that have been tried before and then using the “Hey, if it was good enough for them, it’s good enough for us” defense, we wouldn’t be surprised if all of these practices may soon be coming your way again.
Think of it this way. If these ancient treatments are once again utilized, ObamaCare will, in fact, reduce healthcare costs. Unfortunately, that will occur only as a nasty side effect of shrinking the population.
Speaking of bloodletting, how much longer until November?
Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings, who also hold the distinction of being an Impeached former federal judge, actually said these words in a House Rules Committee meeting on ObamaCare on Saturday.
“When the deal goes down, all this talk about rules, we make ’em up as we go along.”
Wake up, America.

This, according to CBS, is the schedule for today’s Countdown to Socialism. Well, CBS didn’t actually call it that. We did.
Keep in mind that all times are Eastern Standard Time.

In this clip, Republican Paul Ryan tries to explain his healthcare solution. In fact, he tries repeatedly. But Slaughter is either too dumb to understand what he’s saying or she plays dumb.

We think it’s the former, because she eventually turns for help to Democrat Congressman Xavier Becerra, but he’s also too dense to get it.
All of a sudden Democrats are singing the praises of the Congressional Budget Office.
But quick, who were the three biggest critics of the CBO back in July of 2009? If you said Pelosi, Dodd and Obama, you win.
President Obama is now singing the praises of the CBO
All of a sudden Democrats are singing the praises of the Congressional Budget Office.
But quick, who were the three biggest critics of the CBO back in July of 2009? If you said Pelosi, Dodd and Obama, you win.
It seems that back when the CBO was asking if Congress was smoking crack, or words to that effect, Nancy Pelosi and company didn’t think the CBO was so “wonderful” and “precise.”
Back then, the Queen of Congress said, “..it’s always been a source of, yes, I will say frustration, for many of us in Congress that the CBO will always give you the worst case scenario on one initiative and never … any credit for anything that happens if you have early intervention, health care. If you have prevention, if you have wellness … you name any positive investment that we make, that we know reduces cost, brings money to the Treasury in the case of education but never scored positively by the CBO. Yes, it is frustrating.”
Chris Dodd also bitched about how unfair the CBO was saying “One of the things that’s disappointing about CBO — and frustrating — is all the work…done on prevention” that the CBO doesn’t factor in.”
But no one was less in love with the CBO than The Greatest President In History, who said during one of those White-House-Goes-to-a-Townhall episodes “…the CBO, which sort of polices what all various programs cost, they’re not willing to credit us with those savings. They say, ‘That may be nice, that may save a lot of money, but we can’t be certain.’ So we expect that not only are we going to pay for health care reform in a deficit-neutral way, but that’s it also going to achieve big savings across the system — including in the private sector where the Congressional Budget Office never gives us any credit — but if hospitals and doctors are starting to operate in a smarter way, that’s going to help you even if you’re not involved in a government system.”
But now everything is wonderful with the CBO, Congress and, of course, President Obama.
So what changed? Well, it could have been the unprecedented calling of the head of the CBO Douglas Elmendorf to the White House, where he was personally educated by the Greatest Professor In History on numbers, health care and stuff.
As one wit said, think of it as baseball umpires visiting the owner’s box.
Through outright bribery and/or threats to reveal photos of recalcitrant Democrats in compromising positions with farm animals, Obama is on the verge of having enough votes to cram this bloated pig of a bill down he throats of an unwilling electorate.
Earth to Obama: the American people don’t want your stinkin’ healthcare plan.
Ahhh, who do we think we’re kidding. This president doesn’t give a good god damn what the American people want.
Here’s how Rasmussen describes the situation:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.
Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer. While some portions of the plan are popular, others are not. Most voters oppose the proposed Medicare savings and the taxes involved. As a result, most voters continue to oppose the legislation. Just 20% of voters believe that most Members of Congress will understand the proposed health care bill before they vote on it. From a political perspective, 50% are less likely to vote for a Member of Congress who supports the health care reform plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats.
Nevertheless, through outright bribery and/or threats to reveal photos of recalcitrant Democrats in compromising positions with farm animals, Obama is on the verge of having enough votes to cram this bloated pig of a bill down he throats of an unwilling electorate.
Consider this the Democrats version of democracy in action.
John Boehner keep a wary eye on The Honorable Nancy Pelosi and an equally Honorable President Obama
Here’s something we’ve never done before. We’re going to flat out quote from a Republican party press release. And due to today’s extreme circumstances, we’re happy to do it.
House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) requesting that the final health care votes be recorded by “call of the roll” so that every lawmaker is required to publicly announce their vote on the House floor.
“This weekend’s votes will be among the most consequential votes we will ever cast as Members of Congress,” Boehner says in the letter to Speaker Pelosi. “As such, it is my belief that every Member should stand before the American people and announce his or her vote as the final decision is made.”
According to the rules of the House of Representatives, “Unless the Speaker directs otherwise, the Clerk shall conduct a record vote or quorum call by electronic device. … The Speaker may direct the Clerk to conduct a record vote or quorum call by call of the roll. In such a case the Clerk shall call the names of Members, alphabetically by surname.”
The problem here is that Boehner addressed his letter to “The Honorable Nancy Pelosi” and the thinking here is that she may be confused by the term honorable.
Seriously. At what point does reality overwhelm tradition and hoary, honorific titles get relegated to the trash bin of history?
