We can help but wonder whose fiction he was talking about?
Texas job gains are a result of pro-growth policies on taxes, spending and regulations: “…people and businesses have been picking up stakes and moving to Texas in significant numbers over a prolonged period… And yet Texas, like all states, is subject to the same monetary policy as all the rest… From this, I draw the conclusion that private sector capital and jobs will go to where taxes and spending and regulatory policy are most conducive to growth.”
Want further proof this guy is right? Look at the financial mess the U.S. is in and look at what’s going on in California, a state losing businesses daily to Texas and other states with better business climates.

Illegal alien murderer/rapist Humberto Leal had lived in the United States since he was two years old. Hell, based on that fact alone he was almost as American as Barack Obama.

Texas executed a Mexican citizen Thursday for the rape-slaying of a teenager after he and the White House pleaded in vain for a Supreme Court stay, saying he was denied help from his home country that could have helped him avoid the death penalty.
In his last minutes, Humberto Leal repeatedly said he was sorry and accepted responsibility.
“I have hurt a lot of people. … I take full blame for everything. I am sorry for what I did,” he said in the death chamber.
“One more thing,” he said as the drugs began taking effect. Then he shouted twice, “Viva Mexico!”
“Ready warden,” he said. “Let’s get this show on the road.”
He grunted, snored several times and appeared to go to sleep, then stopped all breathing movement. The 38-year-old mechanic was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m., 10 minutes after the lethal drugs began flowing into his arms.

The bill, introduced by Texas Rep. Lois W. Kolkhort, would make the 85 mph limit the highest in the country, according to the Dallas Morning News. A similar plan is being considered by the state Senate, according to the AP.
But first the measure, which is part of a larger transportation bill, must pass engineering testing and other studies before the Texas Department of Transportation authorizes it.
It’s almost guaranteed that the Feds are going to hate this law almost as much as they hate Arizona’s illegal alien law. Why, how dare those damn cowboys flaunt their disrespect for President Obama’s Department of Transportation.
