Graphic depiction of MSNBC's ratings
Another month of absolutely stellar ratings over at MSNBC. Hah! Just kidding. They sucked even more than they did in January.
MediaBistro.com reports the highlights lowlights:
“Countdown” and “Rachel Maddow” ended the month averaging the second-most viewers in their time slots, ahead of CNN and HLN, but behind Fox News. “Countdown” finished the month averaging 964,000 total viewers (350,000 demo) and “Rachel Maddow” finished with 819K total viewers (213K demo).
But both were down from February of 2009. Olbermann was down -29% in total viewers (-43% demo) and Maddow was down -44% in total viewers (-33% demo). “Morning Joe” remains in 4th among the morning shows, and MSNBC programs from 9am-5pm still trail CNN and HLN.
Outstanding, Keith. Fabulous, Rachel. Has anyone seen Ed Schultz lately?

I have nothing further to add to this story.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to say what a big mouthed blow-hard Olbermann is.
Like the Titanic (pictured) I, too, get a sinking feeling every time I happen to see Olbermann’s face for a brief time on the screen.
It, fortunately, is ONLY a brief time, since when I do have the misfortune of seeing that face, it’s strictly when I’m channel surfing through the cable networks to see what’s on.
I always make a concerted effort to avoid Mr. Olbermann every chance I get.
Unfortunately, that also means not watching the NBC Sunday Night Football game, in mortal fear that “the face” will accost me when I’m least expecting it.
Thank goodness for DVR’s, so I can quickly fast forward through any appearance of the face when watching the game back.
