EPA blows smoke, White House memo says CO2 isn’t harmful, but regulating it is.

YouTube Preview Image As anyone who took high school science knows carbon dioxide (CO2) is what people and animals exhale and plants “inhale”.

Yet environmental zealots call it a “greenhouse gas” to make it sound harmful.

What would be really harmful, though, is if the Environmental Protection Agency starts regulating CO2. Well, hang on to your wallet, Money Bags, because that’s exactly what they’re considering.

Last month, the EPA issued a proposed finding that greenhouse gases “endanger public health and welfare within the meaning of the Clean Air Act.”

But now an internal White House memo reveals glimpses of sanity within the administration. A memo sent by the Office of Management and Budget to the EPA says that greenhouse gasses have “no demonstrated direct health effects” but that regulation “is likely to have serious economic consequences.”

EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson was confronted about the memo at a Senate hearing. Watch how she tap-dances around the question, misrepresents the Supreme Court’s ruling (as if the Supreme Court makes laws) and downplays her agency’s finding, saying it was preliminary and “might not” lead to regulations. But if they did decide to start regulating CO2, they’d “make regulations smartly.”

God help us. If anyone’s responsible for global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions, it’s bureaucratic windbags.

I detect Al Gore’s money-grubbing paws all over this one.

Ummmm…I sort of remember from HS science that plants consume CO2 and produce oxygen. It’s this new-fangled discovery called “photosynthesis”. I guess the Green Mafia figured out CO2 is bad when they figured out they can extort private enterprise.

Call me very crazy :
Couldn’t you start pulling up plants if you want to reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere? Don’t they release CO2 at night, that is why they are taken out of hospital rooms? Or Just kill people and animals who respire CO2, constantly ? (Wars do that) But, then, you would get more putrefying matter on the earth & doesn’t that produce methane, CO2, also? ( hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and mercaptans) I remember something about the earth have cycles of all kinds..
Deserts don’t produce CO2 – why not turn more of the earth into deserts?

I heard I-pods are killing polar bears. “I swear I was no where near that polar bear, last night, officer!”

The problem with ALL this nonsense is still we are making regulations over things that ALL life on this planet of every kind produces! A little arrogant isn’t quite sufficient.– Egotistical? Self-important? Oh.. I got one.. grandiosity! Delusions of Grandiosity? Like that phrase. Isn’t trying to regulate the gases in our atmosphere just a little, well, grandiose? A little like a flea trying to regulate a dog’s eating schedule? How do we know that it is really is all our fault that the am’t of CO2 is climbing.. maybe the earth just wants more CO2 in its atmosphere, some process happening on the planet we don’t quite grasp? (which reminds me I have to get dressed and punish those weeds outside of not producing CO2!)
Dictionary def. of respire : of a cell or tissue : to take up oxygen and produce carbon dioxide through oxidation
So when they totally regulate us back to the Middle Ages I am planning to become some lucky town’s weaver, craftswoman and herbalist. I am a very useful woman to have in your medieval town. I also cook. What are you planning to become? My husband laid down the law yesterday and told me I need to stop worrying and screaming at the radio.. So, I am starting to make my plans for the post-Obama era. I am becoming the wise old woman (of some lucky post Obamanation village!) who knows how to do many things!

The thing that gets me is every living thing on earth is a CARBON based life form. If we really want to control carbon (and how did they pick it ? With a dart board and a periodic table?) we would need to terminate all life on the planet.
That is what we are told Global Climate Change™ will do, so there problem solved, every one is happy.
