Have you seen this angry exchange between CNN’s American Morning co-anchors John Roberts and Kiran Chetry?
Just as Roberts was introducing White House advisor David Axelrod on Wednesday morning, he reprimanded Chetry for something she was doing off-camera.
Mediaite.com describes the uncomfortable situation:
“Let me ask you first of all,” pause, smile, restart. “Let me ask you first of all, David, if I could, before we get into the…”
Full stop. Then, Roberts turned to where Chetry was sitting next to him (she had been on camera earlier in the segment), and said, with Axelrod still in the double-box shot: “Would you mind not doing that while I’m talking? Thank you, I appreciate that.” Then, added for emphasis and sarcasm, “If you don’t mind.”

What was Chetry doing off-camera that caused Roberts to snap? We have a few possibilities:
- Printing out a cover letter to accompany the resume she was sending to Fox News
- Laughing at Rick Sanchez videos on YouTube
- Tweeting that she couldn’t decide if David Axelrod looks more like Hitler or that guy who played Higgins on Magnum P.I.

- Slipping Viagra into Larry King’s coffee
- Slipping saltpeter into Larry King’s coffee
- Playing with Roberts’ bottle of Ritalin pills

- Tweeting, “Axelrod. Isn’t that redundant?”
