We doubt that Dr. Robert Jeffress, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, will be invited back on Contessa Brewer’s show anytime soon. Not after the way he destroyed Brewer on Wednesday.
The subject was the proposed mosque at Ground Zero. Jeffress compared it to building a Shinto shrine at Pearl Harbor. Hilarity ensued when Brewer said that 9/11 had nothing to do with Islam. That’s when Jeffress took Brewer apart.
“Well, Contessa,” Jeffress said, “I’ve just been listening to your broadcast for the last few minutes. You talked about ten Christian relief workers gunned down by Muslim gunmen. You talked about this woman who was beaten to death because she broke Islamic law. You talked about attacks being launched in a German Mosque. I think Americans are beginning to realize these are not in opposition to Islamic teaching. But these followers of Islam are obeying the 35 verses in the Koran that call for radical violence against the infidels.”
Brewer spent the rest of the segment saying, “Yeah, but…yeah, but…yeah, but….”
