Remember when we got attacked on September 11, 2001 and liberals and progressives were so worried that evil hitlerian Bush was going to put ALL the Muslims in concentration camps? :-/

Yet as someone above stated NRA members have no reported history of going on shooting sprees. Seriously liberalism is a mental disorder.

These idiots and fools do not realize its the second amendment that protects the first. This so called editor must be very proud of his Nazi beliefs. What they just suggested is right out of the beliefs of the Third Reich.

How about this. Every editor must submit their editorial comments 10 days in advance and it must be approved by a board before publication. Good for the goose, good for the gander.

andre53

Respectfully, I disagree.

They do know that the secnd amendment protects the first. They don’t much care about the first, nor any other one for that matter.

The problem is that they never concieve of the possibility that anyone other than them would ever be in charge. This editorialist does not concieve of the possibility that HE/SHE may one day be considered of no use by someone he/she agrees with, and be shipped off to the same prison camp.

That is the prerequisite to being a fascist lib – that you are unable to ever imagine any reality other than “I am as good and pure as the wind-driven snow, I can do no wrong, therefore there is no need for any restrictions to my power, and of course, having the power is my Gaia-given right”.

They had no problem with the third reich. If it wasn’t for the Holocaust, they would still be extolling the “virtues” of fascism just like they did in the 30’s. And it’s only because of the P/R problem that the Holocaust gives to fascism. Personally, they don’t particularly have a problem with the tactics of the Holocaust, as their own words indicate time and again, such as this Colorado editorial.

Absolutely correct. Palatabilty to the masses is the only hindrance to full implementation of what these people actually envision. Propaganda is vital to that end. Thankfully for them, how to do it has been cronicled through the ages and most recently in “Rules For Radicals”.

andre53

andre53

If only the masses would behave like masses, instead of individuals.

It’s one of the eternal conundrums of a lib. By their theory, the masses should be voting 100% for them. But because they don’t venture very far past theory, they will never understand.

C_Strasburger

That’s because theory never quite makes it to reality….which is why it is called theory….reality is something else liberals never seem to understand…history is very clear on this FACT.

Especially their theory – as I’ve always paraphrased, “Socialism – great system, wrong species”

OMG I saw Dr. Zhivago and it was ALL about that. I mean that movie really put it down. There was a zombie talking about how people hug their private lives (like that is a bad thing) and seriously I was put in front of Obama talking about people clinging to their guns and their religion. It was all about people WANTING to cling to their individuality and how this society was eroding that. Human beings are not created to be completely part of a group, we are created to be individuals within a group and each individual has different ways to handle their lives… These people don’t understand it.

Reagan said it right:

“How do you tell a communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”

KimmyQueen
Member

Seriously who the heck after knowing the crap that happens in fascist, socialist and communist societies wants that in their own society? I mean seriously? Do these people REALLY believe that they can avoid people living in literal sh*t and being hungry and poor? Do they believe that? That somehow they are better than Lenin or Stalin or Hitler and they can avoid the “pitfalls” that made their societies not the utopia they “should have been”? Can I say… insanity?

andre53

It’s a valid question.

It would seem so obvious that conditions in Cuba are horrible and the opression unbearable. The only conclusion that makes any sense is that the left knows full well how bad it is, and they’ve decided that they don’t have an issue with it.

Every now and then, one of them will say something that indicates that this may very well be the case – something like tha subject of this thread, or one of the Hollywood types saying something about stoning people like conservatives to death.

We have to realize that we may be figting against not people who don’t understand, but rather people who do fully understand, and actually WANT tyranny.

Sidekick

It took me a while to accept that premise but I do now. Sad thing is my casually liberal friends are completely oblivious to what their political standard bearers are really advocating.

Well, yeah – I should clarify that I’m talking about the opinion leaders in that mindset. Those casual, low-information voters who pull the dem lever or push that button really don”t have a clue outside of all the BS cliches.

We have to realize that we may be figting against not people who don’t understand, but rather people who do fully understand, and actually WANT tyranny.

Because they’re lazy. They would rather have someone else make their decisions for them, whether they be good or bad. That way, they have no responsibility for decision making, and are ultimately able to blame their lousy lot in life on someone else/bad luck.

Saw today where the only demos that largely support Obamacare are low income minorities and single mothers of all races. No shit? The two most welfare dependent segments of the population want more free stuff. I can’t believe it.

andre53

Poppajoe: (re: “because they’re lazy”)

I agree, but only to a point. There is definitely a part of that crowd who is simply lazy. The USSR was chock full o’them. A Time investigation into the USSR in the later days quoted one woman saying, in response to something about implementing more American-like freedoms “no. I don’t want to work like an American”.

But that does not apply to the Harry Belafontes, Sean Penns, Bruce Springsteens, or Hilarys of the world.

In the eyes of the liberal, the world consists of three kinds of people, or subspecies of homo sapiens.

1 Homo Sapiens Causus Benificus. Those are the enlightened ones who know the truth, know what is best for everyone and everything, and are willing to sacrifice greatly to ensure it is done, often in spite of the protests and resistance from the others. These include the above-listed.

2. Homo Sapiens Causus Malus. These include Rush Limbaugh, Thomas Sowell, most of the police, the Pope, and all of the maybe half-dozen or so conservative politicians who are actually principled. “Causus” is to contrast them from the 3rd category – have you ever heard anyone say about a cop who had to shoot a suspect ‘wellllll, you have to understand that he came from a broken home …” Of course not. These are people who proactively decided to do evil.

3. Homo Sapiens Effectus. These are the great benighted masses. Some are under the influence of the second category. Some, “fortunately”, are under the influence of the first. But none are actually making any decisions for themselves. Everything we think, say, and do, we are all nothing but products of the envronment, of people in the other 2 categories, of the words we hear others using, of anything and everything around us.

The mission of the 1st is to prevent the 2nd from influencing the 3rd to do anything to stop the 1st from doing the good deeds that they have a divine right to do.

I should note that this viewpoint is sometimes shared by those who are considered conservative, except in their eyes, you would flip the people in the 1st and 2nd categories. So they see themselves exactly as the libs see themselves, as the missionaries of “the ultimate good”. Although the “good” they seek to implement is more palatable to us, it is still statism. Off the top of my head, I would put Newt Gingrich and Pat Buchanan in that camp.

poppajoe49
Guest
poppajoe49

Well, the people you noted as being part of the first group, the benefactors, fancy themselves as the saviors of the downtrodden (lazy), and think giving them everything will make their lives better, while the conservatives who fancy themselves as benefactors are more likely to want to help by giving people a chance to improve their lives by working for what they get.

andre53
Member

That’s fine. There’s no question that the Rep’s form of gov’t action is better.

It’s when they want gov’t to go boldly forward helping to create the future that I get a little worried. Gingrich especially tends to go that way. Buchanan and Trump, tend to fall in love with the protectionist route, making them look more like populists than conservatives.

Most of these guys, after spending too much time inside the Beltway, forget the Truth of Jefferson’s and Reagan’s words

“That government is best, that governs least”

and

“Government is not the solution, it is the problem”

The major difference is that the Reps tend to forget those words, while the Dems never believed them in the first place.

KimmyQueen
Member

It is interesting because if government will get out of the way and not diminish churches/synagogues/charities work, the unmarried mothers and whoever else would get the help that they need beyond just getting stuff for free giving them a way to work so they can feel like human beings. However it is true that many just don’t want that because now they are addicted.

@andre you bring a good point about people not wanting work like Americans. The French and Italians (and others) feel the EXACT same way… Strangely enough when you speak to certain Asian people especially Japanese and you tell them how much Americans legally work for FT status there have been many who would say “That’s it?!” how can they survive? And so on? When you tell them about the French is like astonishment. I am thinking that it is a cultural thing and what ancestor (parents and grandparents) do to instruct that desire for work in people. The sad part is that these lazy people are now becoming the parents and grandparents of people who will grow up to continue the crap.

Sad future…

andre53
Member
andre53

I also believe there is a strong cultural element in that.

In re: the single mothers and welfare – it is a crime that getting a part time job actually reduces the total $ amount of benefits she would get (meaning job + benefits will be less than no job + benefits). Of course the system becomes a hammock instead of a safety net. It was designed to be just that!

flashingscotsman

The libs use that fact as proof that the minimum wage must be increased. I look at it as the maximum free stuff must be decreased.

You will get no argument from me on your position. When the so-called enlighten ones find out that I’m a sworn officer and don’t back their position, they can not believe it. That’s when I ask them how much history do they know and or can remember. At that point the history lesson begins. I’ve actually had one complain to my shift commander about my position. She proceed to read it down to them as well. Nothing like making a leftist confused and frustrated.

Old joke from the USSR days –

Mom gives little Misha a ruble and tells him to go to the store and get her an Izvestia, his father a Pravda, and a Komsomol Pravda for himself. On the way out, Misha runs into his father who asks why he has the ruble. Misha relays to him what his mother told him.

The father takes the ruble away and says “we don’t need the newspapers, we can hear the news on the radio”. So Misha goes back inside. His mother asks where are the newspapers. He tells her what his father said.

She gives him 50 kopecks and says “get me an Izvestia and get yourelf a Komsomol Pravda”.

Misha says “what about Papa?”

Mother says “Papa can wipe his ass on the radio”.

Prison camps, huh? Well, I think he should be strung up by his manhood with barbed wire, then his body should be chopped up, eaten by NRA members, digested, defecated, and finally the stool that used to be him should be put in a rocket and fired at the sun.

Yeah. Where would the Internet be without stupid hyperbole?

Say, why do NRA members have to eat this POS? Why not let some hungry pigs eat, digest and defecate this excrement and then pack what’s left off to Buffalo, NY, or DC, or LA…you get the picture. Put it on display like they did with Andres Serrano’s filthy photos of Piss Christ. Send what’s left in a quart sized Mason jar, call it: “Piss On You” and charge all the libtard village idiots that would come to the art show top dollar admissions, to help defray the legal costs the NRA has to face every time it needs to defend the Second Amendment!

Never mind the fact that in libtard math, zero equals eleventy, zero is more than eleventy and zero is less than eleventy. Both numbers are interchangeable dependent upon the situation and desired spin.

I wish this tool-box pussyboy would put his money where his mouth is and start at my house! I would love to teach him a lesson-but based on the photos I’ve seen of him, a gun wouldn’t be necessary-it would be a 1-sided “fight” with me beating the piss out of him, and him crying and asking for one of his mommies! Fuck him and the unicorn he rode in on! PUSSY

Donating will still put you on a list, unless you have a chapter nearby and you donate cash and do not want a slip… but guess what? The NRA has to give you a slip saying that you donated and therefore you get on a list that the IRS has. So the only clear way is not to donate in order to avoid being on a list but of course if many people do that then they will have not much money flowing in and that would be a problem for the NRA… The goverment… seriously problem.

I see that you have a stalker I wonder who that is…
