Dem congressman for Solyndra’s district thinks Solyndra makes cars. Pete Stark wishes he could afford one of “those new ‘S’s’ that Solyndra’s going to make down there, the electric car.” (Someone dig up an Edsel and offer to sell it to him at a “bargain price.”) He’s also surprised to hear his district contains something called “Silicon Valley.” Fear not, he’s a Dem and a shoo-in for reelection, assuming he can find his way back home to file.
