This is sad. I went and read the article, and I saw a reference to “the HONORABLE Coleman Alexander Young. The first thought in my head was “Democrat. Detroit. Honorable? I bet not!” Besides having an illegitimate kid whom he denied for years, here’s the wiki entry for “corruption”. I guess he’s “honorable” because he never got caught? And Carter apparently “Eric Holdered” him. Depressing!

Mayor Young’s hand-picked Police Chief, close friend and political advisor William L. Hart, served for 15 years as Chief before being indicted and convicted for stealing $2.6 million from police undercover funds. The Deputy Chief of Police (Kenneth Weiner), also a close associate of Coleman Young, was charged and convicted in a separate case involving investment fraud. The culmination of the many investigations, indictments and convictions of those around Young led many observers to believe he was at the center of widespread corruption in the city government, which included school boards, sanitation, and many other departments, but especially the police department. Since that time, Detroit has been unable to lose its reputation as one of the most corrupt cities in America — a perception frequently attributed to the period coinciding with Young’s long tenure as mayor. However, given close continuing FBI scrutiny extending from his days as a radical left activist, other observers believe that Young was innocent of the many charges of fraud, corruption, kickbacks, and other crimes because Young was extensively investigated by the FBI and other federal agencies for most of his tenure as mayor. Critics of the mayor point to Young’s relationship with President Carter and it has been suggested that Carter discouraged the Justice Department from aggressively pursuing any indictments against Young.

The convictions of Weiner and other members of Young’s administration were in part based on evidence from wiretaps on Young’s home telephone

Ever notice that just about everyone with the title “Honorable” is a total low life, scum sucking, sleazebag.

It’s like what Margaret Thatcher said about powerful. “Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.”

It’s too late to bail out Detroit, that boat sunk many years ago.

Is it too late to give it a Viking funeral?

Or at least just burn it to the ground?

I thought they’d already done that.

Don’t let the EPA hear you talking that way. Detroit must be dismantled in an environmentally sensitive way. The fumes from burning it would be extremely toxic.

I guess she doesn’t comprehend that she (and the mayor and other city council members aka: Detroit’s government) are pert of the reason Detroit is in such a mess to begin with. Huh? Bush’s fault? Oh…never mind.

This is what our once glorious and honorable country has become? A nation of beggars who trade whatever they have – in this case a vote – for free stuff. And there is no shame about this crass arrangement either. The fact that this woman can say, with no embarrassment, that she expects a payoff for her vote is just plain depressing.

Sadly Karmaa you’re exactly right. Too many Americans now cast their vote based on their calculation of how much “free stuff” the winning candidate will provide them. It’s the death of democracy and America.

She has been to subjected to a lifetime of training to think this way. Look at the message sent by so called black leaders like Jesse Jackson who have been shaking down people for years. I absolutely don’t mean this in a racial way but these people are the lowest common denominator in our society and there are millions of them. I swear the The Walking Dead TV show is rapidly heading toward nonfiction.

Take a number and move to the back of the line lady. Welcome to Obamaland. Home of the slave; not the brave. Land of walking dead with a free cell phone tapped to their head. You wanted this lady, bend over and take like a good little commie.

As “Dear Leader” continues to claim he has a mandate from the masses to raise taxes, we have this example of the truth about how he got reelected.
It’s all about the free shit.

More like a mandate from the messes.
Every one of his supporters is a hot mess.
