The entire article is bogus. IQ test have long been castigated for their reliance on the test subject adhering to a particular language, ethnicity or social more. And who decides which answers on the liberal vs conservative test indicate a trend to conservatism? What was shown about the moderates, that don’t clearly fall into either camp? what were the controls for either test? Worthless study, worthless article.

Does this mean I can say what I “really” think at work, then invoke the Americans With Disabilities Act when they try to fire me? Cause, you know, I’m just stupit and can’t help it.

If I HAD to choose (and I don’t) I would rather be a little lower in IQ than a kook: http://www.wnd.com/2008/11/56494/ (liberals clinically nuts article.)

Good read.

I see the words “human nature” in there. It’s what I’ve always said. There is no point in debating whether the federal gov’t should be regulating education, or charter schools, or corporations. I always go right to the foundation.

What are the very basic fundamentals of your beliefs? Okay, they’re wrong. It doesn’t matter how wonderful they sound in theory. Great theory, wrong species.

The PETA nutjobs who would tell you that you should be feeding your cat tofu and lentils are not some outlier within that circle of loons (sorry, don’t mean to insult loons, who are fine, upstanding birds), we call liberals. They are only a little more extreme in their denial of reality. They are all on some level of fantasy-land. It’s only a matter of degree.

I bet if you turned the pages over of the IPCC Report (Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change) you would find this guys study and a picture of Micheal Moore. The studies title is, “Moore Fiction, Less Fact.”

Does anyone remember how the liberals came unglued when the book “The Bell Curve” came out? You gotta love these hypocrites.

The Bell Curve? I’ve never heard of that book. What was it about and what about the book made the mighty libtards pop their head-gaskets?

That is a must read! Just carrying it around could get you in trouble for all the burst lib craniums in your wake.

So what your telling me is i should order the e-book of it and load it onto my tablet?

OH I KNOW! *claps excitedly* I should go to the local bookstore where my liberal, Obama 08 bumpersticker on the back of car, friend works and ask her to help me find it?

I could do both actually, could be fun. :)

That is fun.

I mostly order on line now, but I used to go to B & N all the time. I loved watching some highbrow try to supress his scowl when I would ask for a Thomas Sowell, or WFB book

I guess it takes a high IQ to see a chopped up fetus as a “lump of cells,” welfare as “uplifting and empowering,” and a teenager quoting the Bible at a graduation ceremony as more dangerous than a crowd chanting “Death to America!”

Or I could just say, “I’m here for my Obama money!” and let that tell the tale of the left.

RKae:”I guess it takes a high IQ to see a chopped up fetus as a ‘lump of cells,'”

An argument I frequently make.

Liberals hate hierarchy and the structure of institutions because they tend to hand down commandments, laws, rules and traditions which have stood the test of time. Liberals want to overturn these because they want a new morality (old immorality) which makes the individual and his or her whims and passions the highest law. It’s the Garden all over again: “And you will be like gods who know good and evil.”

Why does something tell me that inferior intellect will be a perfectly acceptable reason to some day march those of dangerous beliefs/ideas i.e. conservatives to the guillotine?

Eh, call me paranoid. But people have been exterminated for less.

That’s rather the way the left thinks. We ARE talking about people who will abort someone for his or her own good. “Hey! We can foretell the future and your life wasn’t going to be any darned fun at all. So, since you can’t talk, we had to just guess at what you’d want us to do. Someone had to make the call.”

So, yeah, it wouldn’t take much rationalization for them to decide that “You can’t possibly be happy thinking conservative thoughts. We’re going to end your existence for you. It’s a quality-of-life thing.”

And of course, lets not forget, the socialist party who committed genocide of a certain group of people in the 1930s and 1940s, and the genocide carried out past and present in communist countries. Always the left, never the right.

“Dull or stupid people can usually only do a limited amount of damage. For creating a truly monumental disaster, you need people with high IQs.” (Thomas Sowell)

And the moral of the story is …

What? (meaning the story in the article)

So we have another random statistical correlation that some supposedly intelligent elite pulled out of his ass, and, fully using his elite intelligence, confuses correlation with causation.

I have another random correlation for you guys (meaning the highly intelligent elites):

Having a high IQ and being liberal means you’re more likely to be a royal pain in the ass to more people. Happy now?

Right. Everyday billions of people make trillions of decisions and a few despotic elites are arrogant enough to believe that they have enough information to make the proper life/political/economic decisions for the rest of us.

So if you say you’re Napoleon, or Jesus, you’re insane. But if you have the exact same megalomania, but don’t insist you are an historical figure, then you’re an intellectual and/or a “great leader”?

As for the wizard with these findings, it’s an old old story. These characters have been at it since I can remember, trying to prove what they see as obvious. I mean, just look around. Everyone they know (and “everyone” all happen to be in their Upper West Side, or SoHo, or Nob Hill, or Bel Air, or Georgetown neighborhood) is highly intelligent and liberal.

And who votes for Republicans? The South. And we all know they are all a bunch of hayseed hicks marrying their cousins and drinking moonshine, right? I mean, just look at any TV show about the South. It’s really quite clear. (sarcasm)

So with that mindset, some genius with a psychology degree, after discovering that no one in the real world wants his skills, gets a grant and sets out to prove a conclusion he has already drawn by structuring the “reasearch” and findings to fit his prejudices.

Sort of the same thing the warmists do all the time.

Well, I guess I must have a low IQ, since I don’t have the mental capacity to understand what the hell the liberals are thinking.

Do you have the mental capacity to really truly understand the “logic” of the guy who decided that the best way to live is to addle his brain with Ripple and sleep on a subway grate?

No?

Well then, in some cases, getting a mental capacity to understand something is not necessarily an improvement. You can’t rationally understand the irrational.

The prisons are probably 95 % or more filled with liberals thinking folk . Maybe we should start the “GREAT” Universities there , since this may be the highest concetrations of ” intellegent ” , HI- IQ thinking people on the planet.

The base is not much different than the rulers . Intellectually challenged and most of all , morally challenged humans from the botom of their cesspools to the top of their cesspools .

They all want the good life , but NOTHING to do with what it takes to achieve that . Hard work , good habits , good morals —- HELL NO !!!!! , we can’t have that . Let’s find someone who will steal from those that have learned and are willing to do what it takes .

Liberals have higher IQ’s , REALLY ? The prisons and the inter cities are a living testament to that truth.

Liberal Puke loves to pile on without knowing what he/she is doing.

Maybe I am being a bit critical here, but how many people would know anything about this Live Science website?

Unless I missed it, in the article that reports this propaganda, I find no data to support the findings. There is no page that you can access to tell us who runs the site. And when I search the web to find out who runs this it, the Wikipedia entry shows almost nothing about it at all.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LiveScience#cite_note-relaunch-0

It does tell us that it has had its articles published by Yahoo, FOX news, AOL, etc. But of all the articles the site has posted, this bogus article appears to be the only one that made the Wikipedia entry…with little scrutiny, when nothing else did.

Go figure.

Oh look, another self-professed liberal brain surgeon. So am I correct to assume that the reason you liberals are so much more intelligent, is due to your penchant for herd mentality? Or is it a defense mechanism to protect your parasitic relationship with the so called lower intelligence life forms?

And I’m sure if you were to take the esteemed professor out of his carefully controlled environment, IE; remove his tenured position, and placed him into a factory environment, I wonder how long it would be before someone knocked his ass out?

Its a Canadian researcher..I.E. Liberal butt licker, nothing her to see but the writings of a loon. I would like to challenge the Professor to a contest, lets go out in the woods for a week, you take your books and your blankey, and your awards, I will take a knife and a gun, I bet you can guess who would survive, or lets hang out in a ghetto full of Obama supporters…I know he would be a crime victim in about 30 seconds or less.

Take away all his foo foo comforts and see what happens…No contest, the professor would shit himself and curl up in the fetal position. I would rather be street smart than educated at about 99 percent of the liberal training academies they call colleges.

“Lead researcher Gordon Hodson, of Brock University in Ontario, concluded that people with low IQs are attracted to the hierarchy and structure in socially conservative institutions.”

Such as? Blind obedience to the state or other institutions has always been a progressive phenomenon. “Yes we can, yes we can.”

Pretty limited in the documentation department in this particular article. I’d be curious to know who funded this “research”.
