Obama now blaming Congress for his mess

by editor on August 13, 2011

Andy Warhol once said that someday everyone will have fame for 15 minutes. Barack Obama’s version seems to be that everyone will get blamed for 15 minutes. After Bush, tsunamis, earthquakes, Greeks bearing debts and Tea Parties, the Scapegoater-in-Chief pointed his nicotine-stained fingers at the Congress his party half controls.

Make no mistake, Obama isn't upset with all of Congress

We get the story from Commentary Magazine:

President Obama blasted Congress from the road on Thursday, saying things would be worse if lawmakers returned to Washington.

“From the road” reminds us of the punk kid who used to call us names from inside his house.

“There is nothing wrong with our country,” Obama said in a speech at a Holland, Mich., plant. “There is something wrong with our politics.”

Sure, and that something is Barack Obama.

Obama did not single out Republicans or Democrats, but blasted Congress for what he said had been “the worst part of partisanship, the worst part of gridlock.”

The White House is the better part of the partisanship and gridlock.

“There are some in Congress right now who would rather see their opponents lose than America win,” Obama said. “And that’s got to stop.”

Straw men take cover, false choices incoming!

“That’s why people are frustrated,” Obama said. “Maybe you hear it in my voice. It’s why I’m frustrated. Because you deserve better.”

Barry’s frustrated because he’s not getting his way. We’re frustrated because he won’t get out of the way.

Deserve better you do, but unfortunately Obama’s president until January 2013 unless Congress can overcome stupid partisanship and gridlock and get rid of him.

Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it.

The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes.
This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation.
After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a
special Presidential commission presented the following findings:

1. The stamp is in perfect order.
2. There is nothing wrong with the glue.
3. People are spitting on the wrong side.

It’s funny that Bush’s 33% increase in spending which now has to be dealt with by Obama is cast by republicans as ‘his mess’.

Sidekick
Member

Nope. Obama’s 86% increase in discretionary spending broke the bank. Not to mention auto bailouts, cash for clunkers, the stimulus etc etc. Both are bad but Obama is worse.

RockingHorseGuy

I don’t suppose you two dolts have worked out the percent increase in spending in the Obama Administration, that isn’t even done yet?

Ryan Greggs

I’m confused why, under Bush, there were 33% increases in spending (that’s enormous) but this site keeps making it seem like existing spending is because of Obama.

KimmyQueen

Okay… so why did Obama CONTINUE to spend to become the ONE President who has spent THE MOST MONEY in the history of this country? Just because Bush did it, it doesn’t make Obama doing it okay.

whiskeyriver

Well laddie, let me see if I can explain it to you. If you had ever read a history book, done a little research on your own, you would know that the Obama administration has spent more money than all 43 previious Presidential administrations combined. Here is a Ripley moment for you: Yes, we have only had 44 Presidents, multiple terms do not count.

Most of the spending increases during Dubya’s years went to the military after 9-11-2001. You are old enough to remember 9/11? His problem, and the Obummers, is they did not kick ass, take names and let the rest of the world know that messing with us, the US of A, on our own soil is a big no-no.

All you liberal types said we should get out of Iraq. I agree, let them stew in their own juices. Many say we should get out of Afganistan. Again, that is one thing I agree with the libs about. If our troops are not allowed to do what they are paid to do, kill them all and let God sort ’em out, then bring them home instead of wasting more lives in an endless cause.

Now, instead of contuning to blame Bush for what is happening today how about looking at blaming the man now in charge. We still have soldiers dying in Iraq and Afganistan for no reason. Our economy is in the toilet and headed down the drain. Ya’ll voted for him, The Obummer, so start blaming him instead of making excuses for what he has not done since he was elected.

To prove the nonsensical nature of blaming Bush for the present budget crisis, just the next lib you talk to this question.

So, Bush is really to blame for the crisis, because he spent too much, right? So, shouldn’t Obama fix it by doing something other than what Bush did? Maybe, spend less? Or should he fix the terrible mistake of Bush by doing exactly what Bush did, only about ten times more of it?

When I get a flat tire on my truck, I change it. Obama wouldn’t change it, he’d just drive faster.

I’ll give Obama credit for one thing, he seems to have stopped blaming Bush for the economy. I heard tape of one of his speeches on the “Magical Misery Tour” the other day. Now he’s blaming the Tsunami in Japan, and the economy in Europe.

RockingHorseGuy

But,…….aren’t those Bush’s fault?

poppajoe49
Member

Well, everything is Bush’s fault, even the fall of the Roman Empire. But this time, the magical “O” didn’t state it outright.

I heard that Bush was really the one that kidnapped the Lindbergh baby, he and his gang of Condolezza Rice and Dick Cheney. I also heard that Bush was the one that made the hole in the ozone layer which caused the “climate change” problems we are having right now. Bush also likes to kill bunny babies for fun… he is a monster.

Didn’t they rename the San Andreas Fault yet? I’d heard they were changing it to the Bush Fault.

I’m not a particularly religious man but, regarding Obama’s latest hypocrisy, I think the Bible says it best:“And why behold you the mote that is in your brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?”

A good President does NEED to blame anyone. If you have to blame someone, you’re doing something very wrong. Especially if it’s more than 1 or 2 times.

Obama is incapable of seeing that he and his administration’s policies are to blame.

What a clown. He wanted the job and now that he has the job, he can not do it and is looking for the person to blame for all of his FAILURES. Its time to man up barry and face the music and accept the fact that you are in WAY OVER your head.

Indeed. I find myself a trifle…disappointed with the Messiah.

Back in mid-60s, there was a pop song “The Name Game” which rhymed 25 or so names in 2 mines. Obama could sing “The Blame Game” where he blames a whole bunch of new “causes” for his problems.

“Let’s blame Congress… Congress, congress, bo-bongress, banana-pana fo-fongress, fee-fi-fo-mongress… It’s Congress!”

PsychoDad

Well, I guess there’s nothing to do now but declare martial law, dissolve Congress, and suspend all elections until he can do the job he needs to do.

Sidekick

Ssshhhh

poppajoe49

Too late Kick, he has already headed in that direction, he just needs to get rid of a few members of the General Staff that would balk at that move.

Noelegy

The comments Obama has made in this direction are kind of frightening. He’s frustrated with our system (which has worked for 235 years) because it’s not letting him get done what he wants to get done. Like the Mythbusters: if the myth doesn’t produce the expected results, then keep trying until you DO get the expected results. I’m wondering exactly when he’s going to declare martial law…sometimes it doesn’t feel like a question of “if” anymore.

KimmyQueen

“He’s frustrated with our system (which has worked for 235 years) because it’s not letting him get done what he wants to get done.”

Exactly. This is about him thinking that we deserve his ways and it is frustrating that the system in place is not allowing him to do what he wants to do. We need to read in between the lines when he speaks sometimes. During the campaign there was alot of crap like this and people ate it up, without realizing what he really meant. Now he is “not” campaigning in an extravagant manner on our dollar, talking even more foolishness. The eternal campaigner, the ineffectual leader.

Noelegy

“Well, I guess there’s nothing to do now but declare martial law, dissolve Congress, and suspend all elections until he can do the job he needs to do.”

And it’s truly scary how many people in this country would see absolutely NO problem with any of that.

He is like the bosses I had at work. He wants his direct reports (congress) to think outside of the box to solve problems (opportunities). But, when you do come up with a solution that is outside of the box, you are then chastised, because HE doesn’t like the idea.

Obummer is such a worthless bag of shit. I love the part how he blames everybody for all his screw-ups, and then offers nothing in the way of solutions. Every time he opens his mouth it’s a campaign speech, not even 1 iota of leadership.

I agree completely, but that’s the results of the efforts of a community organizer. Oh, and what the heck is a commuity organizer?

RockingHorseGuy

One who organizes communities, of course. I know that didn’t answer your question, sorry.

poppajoe49

what the heck is a commuity organizer?

It’s a fancy name for a Democrat ballot box stuffer.

KimmyQueen

It is an a** who goes into a community thinks has all the knowledge to say what is wrong with it and how to fix it, and then destroys it (or further destroys it) with liberal/progressive agendas.

Obama must have excelled in it…

Watch the show on Tru TV, Hardcore Pawnshop. It’s in Detroit. They show a lot of short clips of the neighborhood, then take you inside to see the people of Detroit. You can see the result of many years of community organizing.

That is one of the reasons I stopped watching. It is a highly depressing show.

Obama is about himself, & nobody else, well, almost. He is a frontman for Soros, unions, & activist groups. He only sings their songs, he does’nt write them, but he does believe. He will throw everybody & anybody overboard to cover for his cock-ups. From his grandma & everyone since, he will scapegoat them for his political purposes.

My only question to him would be this…

If you were trying to destroy America, what would you do differently from what you have done already?

…& his bus tour is heading my way Monday. Might have to make the trip to Cannon Falls, MN.

danybhoy

Update, I did’nt bother going to Cannon Falls, which is about 30 minutes from me. I finished off some leftover ribs & did my laundry. Exciting?
