“Paycheck Fairness Act” would would require employers to show pay disparity is related to job performance. And encourage increased use of robots, outsourcing to China and/or moving the whole company to Mexico. Whenever legislation has “fairness” in its title, it’s a sure sign something stupid this way comes.

Your job description will now require you to purchase your own lubricating gel….bend over boys and girls here comes another tax/paycut so you can now help pay more to the terminally stupid who got the job and can not be fired because of union rules and tenure… Teachers unions anyone?

Why is it that these two NAGs are worried about fairness in the work place for the private sector, all the while their deity has very few minorities in his circle of clowns?

Who? Obama? I beg to differ! The main qualification for attention from the WHite House is that you be black. Regardless of education, experience, appropriateness of the postition, if you are black, all else is forgiven

These two lawmakers are idiots. Demagoguing, shrill, and complete economic illiterates. If this bill makes it to the floor of either chamber, I would be very surprised.

Yeah, but this really stupid even by Democratic Party standards. No long-term upside for the liberals that Obamacare, Dodd – Frank, or the Stimulus had.

So they will expect employeers to pay someone right out of school with little or no experience, the same as someone with say 10, 15, 20 or more years of experience? And what about bonuses? When I started working at the hospital, at the year’s end bonus were given out. Both of my colleagues recieved one but I didn’t as I had been employeed there for 1 whole month at the time. Am I to understand that under this law I would have been expected to have received that same bonus? After all, there was nothing wrong with my preformance as an employee, just that I had been there for only 1 month?…Something tells me if this law was in place at that time, I wouldn’t have been hired, as I was right out of school, no experience in the field other than clinicals required for graduation, and it was close to the end of the year.

All this will do is suppress wages. If someone doesn’t deserve a higher wage, everyone will get a lower wage.
Union rules backfire again!

Wait until the soon to be legal illegals start deluging the labor markets. This bill won’t go anywhere but it won’t matter when the law of supply and demand suppresses the wage pool for unskilled and semi-skilled labor. The tragic thing is that the Dems claim they are for the middle class/working man. Total and utter nonsense.

Another glaring example of unintended consequences. At least that is what they will claim.

No problem, they will just raise minimum wage another $10/hr, that will fix everything!
