State Trooper Is Said to Shoot Surviving Prison Escapee. Got him!

MALONE, N.Y. — David Sweat, the surviving prison escapee on the run in northern New York, was shot by a state trooper on Sunday, according to a person briefed on the matter. His condition was unknown, the person said.

Another person, with knowledge of the matter, said that Mr. Sweat, 35, was alive and in custody.

The trooper who shot him showed remarkable restraint in not executing this POS once he had him incapacitated. He was in prison for shooting a deputy multiple times then running him over with a car to kill him.

Unfortunately, he is alive. But, maybe his former buddies in prison will solve that problem, as punishment for his failing, and getting them harsher conditions as a result.
