Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, 44th president of the United States — socialist, radical, and enemy of Americans who believe in the constitution. Here are hundreds of articles on this man.
We’re morons because we thought the purpose of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act was to stimulate the economy, to finance all those shovel ready projects and to keep unemployment from going over 8%.
We’re morons, which, of course, comes as no surprise to anyone who reads IHTM on a regular basis.
But in this particular case, we’re morons because we thought the purpose of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act was to stimulate the economy, to finance all those shovel ready projects and to keep unemployment from going over 8%.
Looks like we were, oh, so wrong. Here’s what President Obama told the nation’s governors on Monday:
“As the Recovery Act funds that saw through many states over the last two years are phasing out and it is undeniable that the Recovery Act helped every single state represented in this room manage your budgets, whether you admit it or not. You face some very tough choices at this point on everything from schools to prisons to pensions.”
In other words, the Recovery Act supplied crack to the addicts, but now the pusher man has run out of crack.
At least that’s the way we interpret what he said.
Silly us. We thought it was an accepted fact that Barack Obama and the Democrat Party are in the pocket of the labor unions. But, no, it turns out that the mere mention of that corrupt relationship is now racist, too.
It’s a damn good thing we have the Liberal Racism Army out there defining, alphabetizing and categorizing everything that now qualifies as racism, because it would be absolutely impossible to keep track of them all otherwise.
Silly us. We thought it was an accepted fact that Barack Obama and the Democrat Party are in the pocket of the labor unions. But, no, it turns out that the mere mention of that corrupt relationship is now racist, too. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said so.
“The Republican party is saying that the president of the United States has bosses, that the union bosses this president around, the unions boss him around. Does that sound to you like they are consciously or subconsciously deliver the racist message that of course, of course a black man can’t be the real boss.”
Yes, of course, Lawrence, it’s racism. But then, what isn’t?
Step right up and you could win. Just hand over five smackers and you could win a trip to Boston, a rubber chicken dinner and a photo of yourself with President Obama.
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, step right up and you could win. Just hand over five smackers and you could win a trip to Boston, a rubber chicken dinner and a photo of yourself with President Obama. All courtesy of the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee.
Imagine yourself standing there instead of Joe Biden
We know it’s true because we got this email from the DCCC:
Just wanted to make sure you saw Leader Pelosi’s message about your chance to meet President Obama on March 8th.
If you’re chosen as our lucky winner, not only will you get the chance to meet the President, but you’ll get to have your picture taken with him too.
Contribute $5 or more today and you will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to Boston (airfare and hotel included). If you win, you and a friend will attend a dinner with President Obama on March 8th and get your picture taken with him.

It ain’t exactly Super Lotto or the Readers Clearinghouse Sweepstake, but on the other hand, it’ll only set you back five dollars. Seriously, just five dollars? That’s all the Democrats think it’s worth for a chance to meet the most powerful man in the world after Simon Cowell?
If you’re not in a hurry to meet Obama, hold on. We’re pretty sure the tickets will only be $2 by this time next year.
While Barack Obama issued a timid statement on Libya that never quite got around to mentioning the dictator by name, Reagan had no problem saying exactly what he thought of Gaddafi.
What a remarkable difference between Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan.
While Barack Obama issued a timid statement on Libya that never quite got around to mentioning the dictator by name, Reagan had no problem saying exactly what he thought of Gaddafi. Need proof? Here’s a White House press conference from the 1980s where Ronaldus Magnus makes it all very clear:
“Well, we know that this mad dog of the Middle East has a goal of a world revolution, Muslim fundamentalist revolution, which is targeted on many of his own Arab compatriots.”
The other cool thing about this clip is seeing Helen Thomas squatting in the front row, 30 years younger, but surely as vile as she is today. Reagan’s condemnation of an Arab leader must have damn near given her a heart attack. And wouldn’t the world be better off today if they had?
The comparison is inescapable. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews really is beginning to sound like an abused spouse. “Yes, officer, he whacked me around but I love him and don’t want him punished.”
The comparison is inescapable. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews really is beginning to sound like an abused spouse. “Yes, officer, he whacked me around but I love him and don’t want him punished.”
Mediaite delivers the details:
Chris Matthews had an immediate reaction to President Obama’s statement on the ongoing unrest in Libya and it was not positive. Even liberal commentators Howard Fineman and David Corn agreed that Obama’s statement was weak, and since Libya is no Egypt, Obama will have to talk tougher in the future.
Matthews’ surprising review of Obama’s speech:
“This statement could have been put out by the first President Bush. It has the aspect of an Arabist statement. I shouldn’t be too strong here, but it doesn’t have any dignity. I mean — Ronald Reagan — to his credit, said ‘evil empire’ before the fall of the wall.”
No dignity? This coming from a guy who publicly kisses Obama’s butt five nights a week? Hah! Good one, Chris.
If you’re like us, and for your sake we pray to god that you’re not, you’re probably wondering what offensive word begins with the letter “o.”

TheHill.com has the story of Republicans’ o-verly o-ffended o-pponents:
House Republicans and Democrats started Friday morning’s debate over whether to defund last year’s healthcare law, and as part of this debate sparred over whether members should be allowed to call that law “ObamaCare.”
After two House Republicans called it “ObamaCare,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) asked the chairman whether these “disparaging” remarks should be allowed on the House floor.
“That is a disparaging reference to the president of the United States; it is meant as a disparaging reference to the president of the United States, and it is clearly in violation of the House rules against that,” she said.
Of course, Wasserman Schultz’ idiotic plea only egged on Republicans, who ratcheted up their efforts:
… Rep. Denny Rehberg (Mont.), who sponsored the amendment to defund the law, said he refers to it as ObamaCare and said, “You would think he wants his name attached to his signature legislation.
“So we call it what it is,” he continued. “It is ObamaCare. It’s a travesty. It is big government. It is not controlling healthcare costs, and it needs to be repealed and today we’re going to try to defund it to the best of our ability. And if we’re not successful this time, we’re going to try again and again and again until we either have a Senate that’s willing to pass it or a president that understands that we cannot do this to the American people.”
If they’re going to begin banning words from the floor of the House we can think of three more they should consider:
Admit it. Don’t you kind of miss Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s Iraq war press conferences? The ones where he’d rip the heart out of any reporter who asked a stupid questi
Admit it. Don’t you kind of miss Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s Iraq war press conferences? The ones where he’d rip the heart out of any reporter who asked a stupid question?
Rumsfeld is now out flogging a book and Politico.com reports on his appearance on CNN’s State of the Union:
Asked on CNN’s “State of the Union” by host Candy Crowley whether the U.S. is looked at differently than under his tenure, Rumsfeld replied, “I don’t think there’s data that supports that.”
“I think [Obama] has made a practice of trying to apologize for America,” Rumsfeld said.
Rumsfeld also downplayed Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize.
“He had not accomplished a thing when he got the Nobel Prize. It was given to him on hope,” Rumsfeld said. “He’d been in office 15 minutes.”
Our favorite part of this clip was watching Crowley try to construct a question that defended Obama’s popularity around the world when she knows he’s been burned in effigy in Pakistan and Egypt in the last week.
But this is CNN, damn it, and they are the most trusted name in news.
Yeah, that Cairo speech is really paying some handsome dividends now. Barack Obama is beloved as the President of the World and John Kerry is a highly respected international diplomat.
They love ‘em some Barack Obama and some John Kerry in the Muslim world. Yeah, that Cairo speech is really paying some handsome dividends now. Obama is beloved as the President of the World and Kerry is a highly respected international diplomat. Together they …
What’s that? It’s not a statue? The Pakistanis are hanging them in effigy?
This new Gallup poll shows both the opportunity and the problem. The opportunity: Obama can be beaten. The problem: All the Republican candidates seem pretty damn generic to us.
This new Gallup poll shows both the opportunity and the problem. The opportunity: Obama can be beaten. The problem: All the Republican candidates seem pretty damn generic to us.
You know, generic. Vanilla. Ordinary. Plain. Unexciting. Would someone please find us a thesaurus and would someone else please find us a candidate?
We have too many damn generic Republicans
TheHill.com has the story of our 2012 conundrum:
A new Gallup poll found registered voters are split over whether they would vote for President Obama in 2012.
Asked if they would vote for Obama or a generic Republican next year, 45 percent said they would support Obama and 45 percent said they would vote for the GOP candidate in the survey released Wednesday.
The poll shows opportunity for the large field of potential Republican candidates looking to defeat Obama on the heels of the Democrats’ “shellacking” in the 2010 midterm elections, when they lost control of the House and six Senate seats.
Come on. Give us Marco Rubio. Give us Allen West. Give us Mike Pence. Give us Paul Ryan. Give us Chris Christie. Give us somebody who can get us fired up.
Because we’re bored to death with these generic Republicans.
The headline on Andrew Sullivan’s latest opinion piece at TheAtlantic.com is pretty damn shocking, especially coming from a one-time Obamaton: “Obama To The Next Generation: Screw You, Suckers.”
The headline on Andrew Sullivan’s latest opinion piece at TheAtlantic.com is pretty damn shocking, especially coming from a one-time Obamaton: “Obama To The Next Generation: Screw You, Suckers.”
“And he throws like a girl” is just about the only insult Sullivan didn’t break out:
Andrew "No Links" Sullivan has changed his opinion of President Obama
[Senators] have to lead, because this president is too weak, too cautious, too beholden to politics over policy to lead. In this budget, in his refusal to do anything concrete to tackle the looming entitlement debt, in his failure to address the generational injustice, in his blithe indifference to the increasing danger of default, he has betrayed those of us who took him to be a serious president prepared to put the good of the country before his short term political interests. Like his State of the Union, this budget is good short term politics but such a massive pile of fiscal bullshit it makes it perfectly clear that Obama is kicking this vital issue down the road.
To all those under 30 who worked so hard to get this man elected, know this: he just screwed you over. He thinks you’re fools. Either the US will go into default because of Obama’s cowardice, or you will be paying far far more for far far less because this president has no courage when it counts. He let you down. On the critical issue of America’s fiscal crisis, he represents no hope and no change. Just the same old Washington politics he once promised to end.
While we appreciate Andrew Sullivan’s change of opinion, we’re still pissed at him. TheAtlantic.com is one of the biggest, busiest websites in the world. When IHateTheMedia.com was in its formative days we did one particular story (The Most Inappropriate Logo Design in History) that got a lot of links. Sullivan cost us tons of traffic by linking to another site that ripped off our story without attribution. Even after we sent Sullivan a nice, polite email letting him know that we had originated the story, no attribution.
UPDATE: Now we’re even more pissed. We just did a Goggle image search for “Andrew Sullivan” and the image from our original story came up on the first page. We clicked on that link and learned that our story was Sullivan’s most popular story of 2009. By far his most popular story of 2009. And IHateTheMedia.com got bupkis out of it.
Thanks for nothin’, Andrew.
See that thing down at the bottom of this story. That’s what’s called a link. And what we did at the top of this story is what’s called attribution. Learn what they are, Mr. Big Time Journalist Blogger Man.
Oh, by the way, you’re a little late to the party on this Obama thing, too, buddy.
Former Minnesota Governor and expected but so far unannounced Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty delivered the best line at this week’s CPAC convention.
Former Minnesota Governor and expected but so far unannounced Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty delivered the best line at this week’s CPAC convention.
The Hill reports the laugher:
“I’m not one who questions the existence of the president’s birth certificate,” Pawlenty said.
Republican yukmeister and future Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty
The former Minnesota governor and possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate used that line as a set-up, though, to a larger jab at Obama.
“But when you listen to his policies, don’t you at least wonder what planet he’s from? On what planet do they create jobs by taxing the daylight out of people trying to grow jobs? On what planet do they try to reduce the deficit by spending even more? On what planet do they make healthcare better by putting bureaucrats in charge?” he said, according to prepared remarks.
We know the answer. We know what planet Obama is from and we’re surprised no one else has ever figured it out:
In a recent speech before the US Chamber of Commerce the President did not miss the opportunity to claim that he’d hold the economy hostage until companies agreed to share the benefits of a healthy economy with workers.
In a recent speech before the US Chamber of Commerce the President missed a perfect opportunity to apologize for accusing them of taking foreign money for questionable purposes. Apparently at the time of his insinuation he had gotten their ledgers confused with his with own.
He did not, however, miss the opportunity to claim that he’d hold the economy hostage (through an insane tax code and inhibiting American exports) until companies agreed to share the benefits of a healthy economy with workers. In the words of the President:
“If we’re fighting to reform the tax code and increase exports, the benefits cannot just translate into greater profits and bonuses for those at the top. They have to be shared by American workers, who need to know that opening markets will lift their standard of living as well as your bottom line,”
Do yourself a favor and go straight to the 7:00 minute mark. Forcing yourself to watch the speech in its entirety comes perilously close to self-inflicted cruel and unusual punishment.
With unemployment hovering around ten percent, cost of living outpacing salaries by lengths, collateralizing the labor of unborn generations and the proposed destruction of the U.S. dollar through “quantitative easing,” it appeared that Obama had every intention of being uncharacteristically true to his word.
Of course, we can’t completely disagree with the President. At least not in this instance. We want the working and middle classes to have a higher standard of living and more money in their bank accounts as well.
That is why we are so sincerely imploring the man to greatly increase the wages of nearly every American worker by taking one very simple step: Stop confiscateing their money.
Hosni Mubarak, who was supposed to resign on Thursday night, didn’t. And he flipped a figurative middle finger at President Obama in his non-concession speech.
Hosni Mubarak, who was supposed to resign on Thursday night, didn’t. And he flipped a figurative middle finger at President Obama in his non-concession speech.
We know the guy’s a brutal dictator, but damn, how many times have you wished we had a president with balls instead of two First Ladies?
Hosni Mubarak works his way up to flipping his middle finger at President Obama
RadioPatriot quotes Mubarak:
During the meeting with the Military Council Mubarak made the following statement:
“We are brothers, soldiers, we have bled together for Egypt, we have shed blood together. Today, we are faced by an enemy who demands we hand Egypt over to our enemies. The people of Egypt have been silenced by these insurgents and we have been more than patient. Will we all sit here and obey the Obama regime? Will we not once again, with honor stand up to our enemies? Will we not continue to stand for Egypt with honor?
Brothers, would you have me crawl away at the command of Obama? Would any of you crawl away like a dog that has been kicked? Would any of you bow down to the fools he has chosen to take our nation from us?
I leave to you, men of honor, the fate of Egypt, the honor of Egypt and in so doing, I know you will decide that which is right and honorable. We have known each other all our lives, we grew to be men together, we have eaten bread in each others houses and honored each others families. Will we now throw all that away for political expediency?”
Translation: “Screw you. I am a warrior, not a community organizer. Now shut the hell up and leave me alone.”
Saudi Arabia has threatened to prop up President Mubarak if the White House tries to force a swift change of regime in Egypt.
Looks like President Obama’s bow to the king of Saudi Arabia only convinced the former that the latter considers himself subservient. Because now the King has issued orders to the President.
President Obama moves in close to hear his latest orders from Saudi King Abdullah
The London Times reports:
Saudi Arabia has threatened to prop up President Mubarak if the White House tries to force a swift change of regime in Egypt.
In a testy personal telephone call on January 29, King Abdullah told President Obama not to humiliate Mr Mubarak and warned that he would step in to bankroll Egypt if the US withdrew its aid programme, worth $1.5 billion annually.
America’s closest ally in the Gulf made clear that the Egyptian President must be allowed to stay on to oversee the transition towards peaceful democracy and then leave with dignity.
“Mubarak and King Abdullah are not just allies, they are close friends, and the King is not about to see his friend cast aside and humiliated,” a senior source in the Saudi capital told The Times.
Two sources confirmed details of the King’s call, made four days after the people of Egypt took to the streets. The revelation of Saudi concerns sheds new light on America’s apparent diplomatic paralysis and lays bare the biggest rift between the nations since the oil price shock of 1973…
“With Egypt in chaos, the kingdom is Washington’s only major ally left in the Arab world and the Saudis want the Americans to remember that,” said a source in Riyadh.
Well, that’s where the Saudis are wrong. They apparently haven’t heard about President Obama’s magnificent Cairo speech. You know, the one that convinced everyone in the Muslim world to love us. From what we hear it was very effective and we are universally adored in the region.
So put that in your hookah and smoke it, Abdullah.
But Barack Obama gave that pretty speech in Cairo. But Barack Obama said the world would love us when he became President. But Barack Obama said he’d use Smart Power™ to regain the national stature that George Bush squandered. But…but…but…

Egyptians clamoring for another inspirational speech from President Obama
Investor’s Business Daily reports:
When Barack Obama first ran for the White House, a key argument he made was that he could “heal” America’s battered image in the eyes of the world, especially with Arabs, in the wake of the occupation of Iraq and other Bush administration policies. In June 2009, he gave a much ballyhooed speech in Cairo that the White House dubbed a “new beginning.”
Despite this new beginning, the administration has been largely on the sidelines during the tumult in Egypt, little able to affect or even stay ahead of the events. One reason may be that the U.S. is actually less popular in Egypt today than it was during the Bush years.
According to Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project, the U.S. had a 30% favorability rating in Egypt in 2006. That is not much to be proud of, but by 2010 it had sunk to a mere 17%. (Pollster Nate Silver has argued that polls show a recent rise in pro-U.S. feelings in Egypt, but the methodology of that data has been questioned.)
We’ve given it considerable thought and we believe one more speech is exactly what this situation calls for.
The wisdom of the universe is revealed through anagrams. We went to the Oracle of Anagrams and asked her to share her wisdom about the Egyptian situation.

On Super Bowl Sunday, that means eating all the fatty, sugary, delicious foods he and his wife tell us not to eat.
President Obama had a big ol' hypocrite sandwich on Super Bowl Sunday
The Daily Caller reports the White House Super Bowl menu:
President Obama and his guests will be eating bratwurst, kielbasa, cheeseburgers, deep-dish (i.e. Chicago style) pizza, German potato salad, twice-baked potatoes, and assorted snacks. Despite the cold Washington weather, ice cream will also be served.
In an attempt at bipartisanship, both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania beers will be available, according to The New York Times.
Somewhat ironically, the news comes just one week after the federal government issued new nutrition guidelines urging Americans to cut back on fatty foods such as pizza, sausage, cheeseburgers…well, just about everything the president is eating this evening.
And we’re pretty sure that while the President and his wife were eating pizza and cheeseburgers and twice-baked potatoes and ice cream, they forced Malia and Sasha to eat salads in an effort to go along with the First Lady’s dictates on children’s diets.
Believe it or not, MSNBC’s leading Obama sycophant appeared on Morning Joe to harshly criticize the way President Obama has handled the Egyptian crisis.
That thrill up Chris Matthews’ leg has turned into a lump in the back of his pants.
Believe it or not, MSNBC’s leading Obama sycophant appeared on Morning Joe to harshly criticize the way President Obama has handled the Egyptian crisis.
Matthews said Obama’s words and actions have made him “ashamed as an American.” He reamed the President for his disloyalty to Egypt’s leader, Hosni Mubarak.
“Barack Obama,” Matthews said, “as much I support him in many ways, there is a transitional quality to the guy that is chilling.”
“I believe in relationships…” he continued. “You treat your friends a certain way. You’re loyal to them.”
Don’t read too much into this, because Matthews is like an abused wife who has her husband arrested and then drives down to the jail to bail him out. By this time next week he’ll once again be telling us he loves Obama.
According to newly released information, our Commander in Chief wanted the Russians to sign the dubious START Treaty so badly that he gave them the UK’s nuclear secrets as an incentive.
Thanks to Wikileaks, we’ve finally found someone more traitorous than Wikileaks itself – President Obama.
According to newly released information, our Commander in Chief wanted the Russians to sign the dubious START Treaty so badly that he gave them the UK’s nuclear secrets as an incentive.
The lesson to be learned: America can't be trusted by her friends
The Telegraph UK has the horrifying story:
The US secretly agreed to give the Russians sensitive information on Britain’s nuclear deterrent to persuade them to sign a key treaty, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.
Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.
Defence analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.
The fact that the Americans used British nuclear secrets as a bargaining chip also sheds new light on the so-called “special relationship”, which is shown often to be a one-sided affair by US diplomatic communications obtained by the WikiLeaks website.
Details of the behind-the-scenes talks are contained in more than 1,400 US embassy cables published to date by the Telegraph, including almost 800 sent from the London Embassy, which are published online today. The documents also show that…
…A series of classified messages sent to Washington by US negotiators show how information on Britain’s nuclear capability was crucial to securing Russia’s support for the “New START” deal.
Although the treaty was not supposed to have any impact on Britain, the leaked cables show that Russia used the talks to demand more information about the UK’s Trident missiles, which are manufactured and maintained in the US.
Washington lobbied London in 2009 for permission to supply Moscow with detailed data about the performance of UK missiles. The UK refused, but the US agreed to hand over the serial numbers of Trident missiles it transfers to Britain.
This is what you call a win-win for Russia and a traitorous-traitorous for everyone else.

How do Obamabots explain the fact that his State of the Union was written at eighth grade level. In fact, it only one State of the Union address in the last seventy-five years was written at a lower level.
The drumbeat has been constant since the day BarackObama first burst upon the national scene: This guy is smarter than the rest of us. He operates on a completely different intellectual plane than mere mortals. He’s brilliant, you’re not.
So how do Obamabots explain the fact that his State of the Union was written at eighth grade level. In fact, it only one State of the Union address in the last seventy-five years was written at a lower level.
University of Minnesota Smart Politics explains:
The Flesch-Kincaid test is designed to assess the readability level of written text, with a formula that translates the score to a U.S. grade level. Longer sentences and sentences utilizing words with more syllables produce higher scores. Shorter sentences and sentences incorporating more monosyllabic words yield lower scores.
But Tuesday evening’s address beat even that.
A Smart Politics analysis of 69 orally delivered State of the Union Addresses since the mid-1930s finds the text of Obama’s speech to have notched the second lowest score on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test recorded by a U.S. President.
A little advice, Mr President:
No reason to dumb it down. Alan Grayson isn’t in Congress anymore.
UPDATE: Just to do a reality check, we performed the same analysis on a
couple other pieces of writing.
Paul Ryan¹s response to the SOTU was written at the 10.08 grade level.
Michele Bachmann¹s Tea Party response was written at the 9.00 grade level.
The University of Minnesota¹s explanation (excerpted in this article) was written at the 9.24 grade level.
IHateTheMedia.com¹s portion of this story was written at an 8.12 grade level.

The Editor wasn’t alone. Turns out most people found something else to do while the President conducted his annual lie fest.
The SOTU was on eleven different networks, but with a little work you could avoid it
Nielsen.com has the details:
On Tuesday, January 25, 2011 President Obama delivered his State of the Union address. The address was carried live from approximately 9:00 PM- 10:15 PM on 11 networks. The sum of the average audience for those networks was 42,789,947 viewers, with a combined household rating of 26.6. The networks carrying the address included ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, TEL, UNI, CNN, Centric, CNBC, FOXNC, and MSNBC. Viewership to last night’s address was down 18% from his address on February 24, 2009 and down 11% from his State of the Union address last year on January 27, 2010.
The trend is not the President’s friend. In 2009 drew 52,000,000 viewers and a 32.5 rating. In 2010 he rounded up 48,000,000 and a 29.8 rating. In 2011, it fell to 43,000,000 viewers and a 26.6 rating.
Unfortunately, the President’s ratings seem to be following the same trajectory as the economy.
