success of the Stimulus Bill while speaking in a state with an unemployment rate of 14%? Did no one tell Biden that Michigan lost more than 160,000 jobs last year?
How do you explain Joe Biden congratulating himself for the success of the Stimulus Bill while speaking in a state with an unemployment rate of 14%? Did no one tell Biden that Michigan lost more than 160,000 jobs last year?
Despite reality staring him squarely in the eyes, Biden patted himself on the back and told the people of Michigan, “It’s working.”
Then he ran to his foreign-made limousine, jumped in and said, “These stupid buckeyes don’t know how good they’ve got it.”
Yeah, we made up that last paragraph. But you have to admit that it sounds like something Biden would say.
Dick Cheney: Well (laugh) I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by my friend Joe Biden. I’m glad he now believes Iraq is a success. Of course, Obama and Biden campaigned from one end of the country to another for two years criticizing our Iraq policy.
Dick Cheney showed up on ABC’s This Week on Sunday morning and didn’t disappoint.
He was asked about Joe Biden’s claim that Iraq would be seen as one of the Obama Administration greatest achievements. Cheney response? The former Vice President just couldn’t help himself. He laughed.
Here’s the transcript:
Jonathan Karl: One thing he (Joe Biden) said is that he thinks Iraq would ultimately prove to be one of the greatest achievements of the Obama Administration.
Dick Cheney: Well (laugh) I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by my friend Joe Biden. I’m glad he now believes Iraq is a success. Of course, Obama and Biden campaigned from one end of the country to another for two years criticizing our Iraq policy. They opposed the surge that was absolutely crucial to our getting to the point where we’re at now with respect to Iraq. For them to try to take credit for what’s happened in Iraq strikes me as a little strange. If they had had their way, if we followed the policies of pursued from the outset or abdicated, Saddam Hussein would still be in power in Baghdad today.
Ahhhh, that wild and crazy Joe Biden. The same guy who once took credit for a speech written by a British politician now takes credit for a war won by a Republican president.
Once a cheat, always a cheat. Or once a moron, always a moron. We’re not sure which.
Joe Biden is the best talk show guest ever. Because viewers know they can just sit back and wait for that moment when he says something really stupid.

Here are two examples from Wednesday’s interview with Larry King:
“I’ve been really impressed with the success we’ve had building on the last administration in dealing with these (terrorist attacks).”
What? Say what? What the hell? Did he really say that the Bush administration was successful in combating terrorist attacks? Obama’s going to have to take Joe to the woodshed again.
“Someone just strapping on a backpack of them with explosives that are indigenous.”
What? Say what? What the hell? Indigenous explosives. What the hell are indigenous explosives?
Interview over now? Somebody wake up Larry King and tell him it’s time to go home.
After watching this clip, does anyone really think Biden saw Avatar? Or was this his sad attempt to make us think he was very into pop culture? A show of hands, please.

Why to hear Joe Biden tell it, he’s a regular job creating dynamo. Here’s how Bloomberg reports the story of this walking, talking economic miracle
Joe Biden has also saved or created 700,000 follicles
Why, to hear Joe Biden tell it, he’s a regular job creating dynamo.
Here’s how Bloomberg reports the story of this walking, talking economic miracle:
President Barack Obama’s clean- energy initiatives will help create more than 700,000 jobs and allow the U.S. to double its renewable-power generation in three years, according to a report by Vice President Joe Biden.
Biden, in a memo on administration efforts to shift to a clean-energy economy, said projects in the $787 billion economic stimulus package are contributing to “unprecedented growth” in renewable energy, such as wind and solar, and improving manufacturing for new clean-energy technology.
Hold your horses there, buckeroo. The Wall Street Journal noticed something a little odd about those jobs:
Take a look at footnote 3 on page 2 of the Biden memo:
All of the job estimates used in this document correspond to jobs that last for one year. Of course, some jobs could last longer–in this case the number of distinct jobs would be reduced proportionately. For example, a project that employs one person for two years would count as creating two jobs.
We suppose if the guy doesn’t get fired from either of his two jobs over the course of the two years, that would count as four jobs saved or created.
Of course. It’s like Biden’s hair plugs. He takes them from one part of his head and moves them to another part of his head and says he’s created or saved 700,000 follicles.
Joe Biden, who is apparently still Vice President, came to the aid of Chris Dodd and remarked that Dodd is “getting the living hell beat out of him.”
Joe Biden, who is apparently still Vice President, came to the aid of Chris Dodd and remarked that Dodd is “getting the living hell beat out of him.”
At first we were shocked at the blatant honesty of the statement, and by the amount of sense the hitherto sense-lacking Vice President demonstrated.
Then, of course, he had to ruin the whole thing by saying that the reason Dodd was getting the living bejesus beat out of him was “because he’s being a leader. This is going to be a hell of a race and it’s an uphill race, but Chris Dodd will prevail.”
Perhaps what Joe meant to say was that Chris Dodd was the leader in AIG contributions, even beating out Barrack Obama.
It’s worth noting that at no time during the Vice President’s praise of Dodd’s leadership was there any mention of his leadership in the Wall Street meltdown, the mortgage crisis or the AIG bonus fiasco. Biden did, however, note that Dodd was “the most gifted legislator in Congress, now that Teddy Kennedy’s gone.”
We’re not sure what Teddy Kennedy ever did to Joe Biden to warrant this comparison, but it must have been something really bad.
The Secret Service didn’t know the Salahis had attended the fancy fete until Michaele Salahi’s posted photos on her Facebook page – photos of them with Biden, Rahm Emanuel, Katie Couric, and Rep. Ed Royce.
Joe Biden has a tighter grip on Michaele Salahi than he does on reality
A wanna-be reality TV couple slipped through security and attended President Obama’s first state dinner at the White House on Tuesday night. They palled around with Joe Biden and other dignitaries and then posted the photos on their Facebook page.
Way to go, Secret Service.
The Associated Press reports that “President Barack Obama was never in any danger because (Michaele and Tareq Salahi) went through the same security screening for weapons as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.”
But we say that’s wild speculation. How do we know the Salahis aren’t highly-trained ninja warriors, fully-adept at hand-to-hand combat? Hell, we’ve seen “V” and they may even be reptilian aliens come to earth from their home planet to deliver secret new plans to fellow reptilian aliens Michelle and Barack.
That, of course, is wild speculation, but the Washington Post has confirmed that the Salahis are part of Virginia’s wealthy horse set and that they are up for roles on a new Bravo reality TV show called “Real Housewives of D.C.”
The Secret Service didn’t know the Salahis had attended the fancy fete until Michaele Salahi’s posted photos on her Facebook page – photos of them with Biden, Rahm Emanuel, Katie Couric, and Rep. Ed Royce.
You know that President Obama won’t be able to resist making an appearance on the Real Housewives of DC. C’mon, the guy is drawn to a TV camera like William Jefferson is drawn to cash.
There’s nothing funnier than Joe Biden trying to sound smart, as in this campaign speech when he challenged Sarah Palin’s energy policy by saying, “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah, than drill, baby, drill.”
There’s nothing funnier than Joe Biden trying to sound smart, as in this campaign speech when he challenged Sarah Palin’s energy policy by saying, “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah, than drill, baby, drill.”
For her part, Sarah Palin blasted back with:
The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill.
As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”
But don’t begin to think that Biden’s left this leftist nonsense in the past. This short sighted opposition to America’domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.
Ouch. Joe, you might want to put a steak on that shiner.
In a sure sign that the Democrats consider New York’s 23rd Congressional District race a lost cause, Joe Biden got shipped in to do a little last minute campaigning for Democrat Bill Owens.
In a sure sign that the Democrats consider New York’s 23rd Congressional District race a lost cause, Joe Biden got shipped in to do a little last minute campaigning for Democrat Bill Owens.
In an equally sure sign that quality reporting is a lost cause, CNN referred to him as “former Vice President Joe Biden.”
For CNN, a simple error. For the rest of us, wishful thinking.
We don’t want to say people don’t like the Vice President, but his popularity has plunged so low that he barely outscores gonorrhea.
Biden is now less popular than the guy Democrats call Darth Vader
We don’t want to say people don’t like the Vice President, but his popularity has plunged so low that he barely outscores gonorrhea.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Vice President Joe Biden’s favorable rating has fallen to 42 percent in a new Gallup poll, down from a high of 59 percent just after last year’s election. Biden’s unfavorable rating in the new poll is 40 percent, up from 29 percent last November. (Eighteen percent of those surveyed say they have no opinion of Biden.)
Biden’s average favorable rating during his time in office so far is 45 percent — well below the average 65 percent favorable rating for Vice President Dick Cheney during Cheney’s first year in office. Vice President Al Gore’s favorable rating during his first year, 55 percent, was also higher than Biden’s. (Gallup did not measure vice presidential popularity before Gore.)
Biden’s rating has fallen most dramatically among independents. Last November, 55 percent of them had a favorable impression of Biden. Now, it’s 32 percent. Biden’s favorable rating among Democrats is 73 percent, down from 88 percent last December, and among Republicans it is 18 percent, down from 33 percent last year.
On the other hand, Biden is still very popular among columnists and bloggers in need of punch lines.
Who you gonna believe? The American media, which the White House admits it controls, or the independent, uncontrolled perspective of the foreign media?

Who’s Hassan Nemazee? Merely the latest Democrat fundraiser to go down in flames. He’s accused of embezzling $300,000,000. And yet Joe Biden said, “Had I my way, I would be referring to him as Ambassador Nemazee.”
Van Jones is ancient history. And the ACORN videos are so last week. Let’s move on to the latest Democrat scandal.
Who’s Hassan Nemazee? Merely the latest Democrat fundraiser to go down in flames. He’s accused of embezzling $300,000,000. And yet Joe Biden said, “Had I my way, I would be referring to him as Ambassador Nemazee.”
Much like if we had our way, we would be referring to Joe as former Vice President Biden.
On a conference call today, Vice President Biden told 30 of the nation’s governors that if the Recovery Act fails, he’s “dead.”
Joe Biden pauses to admire his boyish good looks between making stupid comments
Barack Obama’s going to take Joe Biden on another trip to the woodshed, because the loquacious vice president inadvertently spoke the truth about the future of the Obama administration.
Here’s how ABC News’ Jake Tapper reports the story:
On a conference call today, Vice President Biden told 30 of the nation’s governors that if the Recovery Act fails, he’s “dead.”
Biden was providing an update to the governors (and if they couldn’t make it, their Lt. Governor or senior staffer) on the Recovery Act and make sure they were prepared to submit reports next month detailing how stimulus money was spent and how many jobs were created by the funding.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) told the Vice President he couldn’t express how much he and his fellow governors appreciate Biden’s interest.
“Pure self-interest, Jay. If it fails, I’m dead,” Biden quipped.
“Pure self-interest” pretty much describes what motivates all the clowns in Washington, DC. On both sides of the aisle.
You know, there are times we almost feel sorry for Joe Biden. The poor guy just doesn’t seem to get any attention from his boss President Obama.
"Joe, if you make one more stupid comment I'll send you on another fact-finding mission to Baluchistan."
You know, there are times we almost feel sorry for Joe Biden. The poor guy out-doofuses Al Gore, which isn’t easy.
The Veep spoke about the Bush administration during a recent fundraiser in Florida. After another speaker suggested that former President Bush had leaned heavily on Vice President Cheney for guidance, Biden set the record straight.
That’s not how the Obama administration works, he told the crowd.
“He’s the president, I’m the vice president. We’ve got the pecking order in this administration right,” Biden said.
The way we interpret that comment, Bush listened to advice from his vice president, but Obama doesn’t give Biden the time of day.
First thing this administration’s done that makes any sense.
To quote a popular bumper sticker, “Where are the jobs, you lying pile of excrement?” OK, we didn’t really see that last part on a bumper sticker. But we wish we had.
Where are the jobs, Joe? Where are the jobs?
And we quote from a White House press release dated May 13, 2009:
The Vice President today submitted his first quarterly report to the President detailing progress implementing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The report shows early progress providing immediate financial relief for American families and jump-starting billions of dollars in job-creating projects in the first quarter, with both the pace of spending and job creation expected to accelerate significantly in the coming months.
Looking ahead, an additional 600,000 jobs are expected to be created or saved under the Recovery Act in the next 100 days and billions of dollars in contracts and grants are expected to be awarded in the coming months. The report finds that the anticipated funds are already having an effect on economic and job growth as private sector companies staff up to meet expected demand for their products under Recovery Act programs and state and local governments adjust their spending plans ahead of receiving additional Recovery Act funds.
And to quote a popular bumper sticker, “Where are the jobs, you lying pile of excrement?”
OK, we didn’t really see that last part on a bumper sticker. But we wish we had.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball team paid tribute to Joseph R. Biden, Jr. by giving away bobblehead likenesses of the vice president to the first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles.
Last Thursday night must have been one of the most exciting nights in the history of Wilmington, Delaware.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball team paid tribute to Joseph R. Biden, Jr. by giving away bobblehead likenesses of the vice president to the first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles.
On July 9, Joe Biden traveled to Ohio to tell the yokels how effective the “stimulus” had been. “Roads plus teachers plus cops plus jobs equals a community,” he said, “and that equals paychecks and prosperity.” Eight days later, it was announced that the state’s unemployment rate had increased from 10.8% to 11.1%.
"I swear the economy's getting better. Much better. Really better. Super better."
Hope like hell Joe Biden doesn’t come to your town to tell you how effective the “stimulus” has been.
On July 16, Biden visited Richmond, Virginia to deliver the same message of hope and change. The next day, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that Virginia shed 22,800 in June and that the state’s unemployment rate had jumped to 7.2%.
In the words of Aussie blogger Andrew Bolt, “It’s like the Gore Effect, only for unemployment.”
Vice President Joe Biden’s surprise two-day visit this weekend to Iraq was meant to ‘re-establish contact’ with leaders here, but some Iraqis bristled at the messenger.
Vice Buffoon Biden is being shipped out to Iraq
Whenever you think this administration can’t get any more insincere, they go and surprise you. Like when President Obama named Vice Buffoon Joe Biden to head up political reconciliation in Iraq.
As Associated Press reports, “Vice President Joe Biden’s surprise two-day visit this weekend to Iraq was meant to ‘re-establish contact’ with leaders here, but some Iraqis bristled at the messenger.”
Why?
Because Biden had angered Iraqi leadership in the past by pushing a plan to partition the country into three separate semi-autonomous nations – one for Kurds, another for Shiites, a third for Sunnis – because he didn’t believe political reconciliation was possible.
In other words, he doesn’t believe in what he’s now been assigned to accomplish.
“I think, given his knowledge of the region, the number of times he’s been there, he’s perfectly suited for this type of role,” said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, adding that the job would include frequent trips to Iraq.
Translation: President Obama said, “Somebody figure out a job that’ll get this moron out of the country as fast as possible.”
Joe Biden told the troops in Iraq, “As corny as it sounds,” he said, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”
Joe Biden spoke at a naturalization ceremony in Bagdad on July 4
OK, Joe actually said this on July 4th, but it was a holiday weekend and we were busy gorging ourselves on hot dogs at our neighbors’ Independence Day barbeque and just got to this story. But in our defense, it doesn’t really matter when Joe said it because any day is a good day for a bon mot du Joe.
Biden stopped in at a ceremony at Camp Victory in Baghdad where 237 U.S. servicemen and women from 59 countries were proudly being sworn in as new American citizens.
Can you imagine what a thrilling, emotional moment that must have been for those brave men and women?
That’s when Joe Biden, the Vice President of United States of America, got up to add a few special words to the occasion.
“As corny as it sounds,” he said, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”
BigHollywood.com summed it up perfectly:
If there’s one person, in one scenario, who should never, ever feel that it’s corny to be proud to be an American, it would be:
• The Vice President of the United States.
• Surrounded by hundreds of U.S. servicemen and women.
• Who have just become U.S. citizens.
• In a war zone.
• On Independence Day.
• You stupid moron, you.
Only about 100 people showed up to hear Biden’s self-aggrandizing speech on the wonders of stimulus money.
The Vice President was greeted by his adoring fans
Poor Joe Biden. The garrulous veep traveled to a small town in Pennsylvania a few days ago to tell the bumpkins about the glories of federal stimulus money. He wanted the good folks in Erie to know that the Obama administration is bringing broadband internet access to rural America.
Apparently, no one cared.
Only about 100 people showed up to hear Biden’s self-aggrandizing speech. The room looked empty. So empty, in fact, that volunteers quickly began removing chairs in a futile attempt to make it look like a full house.
This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “moving the deck chairs on the Titanic.”
Once again, Joe Biden has made a gaffe, this time telling the crowd hat “the Buick LeSabre is made in Ontario, Canada,” and that “the UAW worker in Canada makes the same wage as the UAW worker in the U.S.”
Yeah, that's how we all feel when Biden speaks
President Obama may need to appoint a Biden Speech Czar just to keep an eye on the vexing Vice President.
Biden was appearing at a town hall meeting in the lovely city of Perrysburg, Ohio. The subject was “the middle class and manufacturing” but the veep veered off into unexplored and unexplained territory.
He blithely informed told the assembled crowd that “the Buick LeSabre is made in Ontario, Canada,” and that “the UAW worker in Canada makes the same wage as the UAW worker in the U.S.”
He was trying to make the point that the Canadian-made LeSebre cost 14% less to build because of that country’s socialist healthcare system.
But as we’ve all learned, Biden just makes crap up as he goes along.
In reality, they haven’t built the LeSabre since 2005. It was actually manufactured in the United States, not Canada. And to complete the Biden trifecta, Canadian Auto Workers split from the UAW and became an independent union way back in 1985.
Overall, it was a fine speech. Other than the everything-he-said-was-wrong part.
Joe Biden wrapped up his remarks by saluting Tim Kaine as the “great governor of New Jersey.” The only problem is, Kaine is the governor of Virginia, not New Jersey. One would think Biden would know this, because Kaine is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Everybody laughs at Vice President Joe Biden
Joe “But-But-But-But” Biden is a never-ending source of amusement. And amazement. Not to the biased media of course, who liked to ignore all but Republican gaffes.
They sent the Vice President out to speak at a LGBT fundraiser the other night. He spoke for about twenty minutes and managed to cover all the gay bases. So far, so good. His keepers were breathing a sigh of relief as he came down the home stretch. Then disaster Biden struck.
He wrapped up his remarks by saluting Tim Kaine as the “great governor of New Jersey.” The only problem is, Kaine is the governor of Virginia, not New Jersey. One would think Biden would know this, because Kaine is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Sending Joe Biden out to speak is becoming an exercise in sadism. But what the hell, this was the LGBT dinner, so a little sadism will probably go unnoticed.
We got an email from Vice President Joe Biden asking for our help to pass the president’s health care plan.
Joe Biden answers the quesstion, "How many trillion will the President's health care plan cost?"
Well, now, don’t think we aren’t feeling pretty puffed up with pride today. We got an email from Vice President Joe Biden asking for our help to pass the president’s health care plan.
Finally, someone has realized that we are major movers and shakers and opinion makers. To that, we say, “It’s about damn time.”

Hot Dog Diplomacy: President Obama is dealing with the oppressive Iranian regime by wooing them with wieners at a series of 4th of July celebrations around the world.
President Obama unveils his new hot dog diplomacy
How is the President dealing with the oppressive Iranian regime? By wooing them with wieners at a series of 4th of July celebrations around the world.
No. Seriously. Blood may be flowing in the streets of Tehran, but that won’t keep the ketchup from flowing at our embassies around the world.
Hot Dog Diplomacy
Earlier this month, Obama ordered our embassies to invite Iranian diplomats to their annual 4th of July celebrations. And in the minds of Obama’s state department officials, Iran’s brutal oppression of freedom fighters is no reason to dis-invite them from our celebrations of freedom.
“There’s no thought to rescinding the invitations to Iranian diplomats,” State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said.
“We have made a strategic decision to engage on a number of fronts with Iran,” he continued. “We tried many years of isolation, and we’re pursuing a different path now.”
“Pork ribs,” Joe Biden thought to himself. “Let’s offer ‘em pork ribs. Everybody loves a good pork rib.”
