socialism

Al Sharpton, one of the most vile race mongers America has ever known, has been legitimized by President Obama. He’s officially been designated as Obama’s conduit to “the streets.”

On Sunday, Sharpton told a black congregation in Connecticut, “The dream was to make everything equal in everybody’s house.”

This from a guy sporting a $100 haircut, a Rolex on his wrist and a $2000 suit on his back.

Ain’t socialism great?

Is ACORN corrupt? Undoubtedly.

Socialist? Absolutely.

Classy? Not so much.

Bertha Lewis pretty much proves all three in this short video clip.

It’s about time, isn’t it? Seriously, the so called leaders of the conservative movement have been pussyfooting around this subject for far too long.

Associated Press reports Newt’s notable comments:

Gingrich reminded conservative activists why he was one of the nation’s most polarizing leaders in the 1990s, opening the Southern Republican Leadership Conference with a biting assessment of Obama’s policies.

“The most radical president in American history has now thrown down the gauntlet to the American people: ‘I run a machine. I own Washington and there’s nothing you can do about it,'” Gingrich said. He urged his fellow Republicans to stop what he called Obama’s “secular, socialist machine.”

The left, of course, weill immediately label Gingrich a racist. Because as we all know, “socialist” is just conservative code for “negro.”

Kind of like “racist” is liberal code for “Damn it, somebody finally had the nerve to state the obvious.”

Yahoo reporter Aaron Task interviewed Uncle Joe Biden and learned that the gaffe-prone vice president doesn’t like to call socialism socialism.

After running through a laundry list of wealth distribution programs, Biden finally gets into his definition of socialism.

Task: What do you think of the charge that this is a redistribution of wealth? Even the New York Times, famously liberal, said, “The Health Care bill is the federal government’s biggest attack on economic inequality since inequality began rising more than three decades ago.”

Biden: Look, It’s a simple proposition to us: Everyone is entitled to adequate medical health care … If you call that a ‘redistribution of income’ — well, so be it. I don’t call it that. I call it just being fair — giving the middle class taxpayers an even break that the wealthy have been getting … Taxes have been lowered for the wealthy considerably over the years. It’s about time we get a little tax equity here.

You call it socialism, Joe Biden calls is fairness. You call Joe Biden a Marxist, we call him a Leninist.

Coming soon! They admit Van Jones is a communist. They admit that “comprehensive immigration reform” really means amnesty. They admit cap-and-trade is just one giant tax. And who knows? Maybe they’ll even admit that Obama was born in a manger in Bethlehem.

Thursday was a big day for Montana Democrat Max Baucus. First he admitted that ObamaCare was really about redistribution of wealth. Now he admits that it will cause President Obama to break his tax pledge to the middle class:

“One other point that I think it’s very important to make,” Baucus said, “is that it is true that in certain cases, the taxes will go up for some Americans who might be making less than $200,000.”

What? Gasp! We are shocked. Shocked, we tell you. Who ever could have foreseen the day when Barack Obama would need to backtrack on one of his campaign promises.

Why, next thing you know, he’ll hire a tax cheat to run the Treasury Department.

You know, we somehow respect socialist Senator Max Baucus a little more just because he tells the truth about ObamaCare that the President won’t tell.

Baucus: Too often, much of late, the last couple three years the mal-distribution of income in America is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy, and the middle income class is left behind. Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America.

Got that? Mal-distribution. Not even mis-distribution. Baucus goes straight to mal-distribution.

Sort of like the mal-distribution of power in Washington, DC.

Longtime Congressman John Dingell, appeared on NewsTalk WJR on March 23, and ‘fessed up what other Democrats know, but won’t admit.

“Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.”

Repeal and replace, baby.

Thaddeus McCotter, one of our favorite congressmen, notes that Hope & Change has degenerated into Tax & Hate. We’ve never heard him sound quite so serious.

Give ‘em hell, Thad.

Workers of the world unite. In song, that is. Now that ObamaCare has passed and America is officially a socialist nation, you might as well begin learning The Internationale, the anthem of socialists around the world.

What country would you move to? And why?

by editor on March 22, 2010

We doubt that we’re alone in saying that what’s happening to our once great nation inspires thoughts of packing up and going somewhere else.

Ahhh, but where? That’s the question.

As you may be able to tell from the number of Australia-related stories at IHateTheMedia.com, the Editor has a soft spot for the Land Down Under and would move there tomorrow if only he could talk his recalcitrant wife into it.

Sure, the Aussies have their own problems and they tend to mirror our own – an extremely liberal Prime Minister whose poll numbers are plummeting, illegal aliens, and a party in power that’s pushing cap-and-trade, to name just a few.

Even if another country isn’t better, just different, being 10,000 miles away makes the socialization of the United States easier to take.

With that in mind, if you chose self-banishment, what country would you want to live in? And why?

Michael Moore

The fat and happy Michael Moore

Editor is traveling today, so the not-as-funny, f*cking pissed, Administrator is able to rant and rave here with no punch lines.

Michael Moore was kind enough to send us an email this morning. We thought we’d share with you his mocking, lecture, which he addressed to all republicans.

You better get used used to it. Now that Obamacare has passed, and the march to socialism is on, full speed ahead, from our Salinsky-trained, ridiculing president at the top, all the way down to slime like Michael Moore in the gutters of the far left, they are coming after you, with taunting derision now that their Chicago-style “do anything it takes” party of vermin has beaten us on this pivotal issue.

Fellow seekers of liberty: harness the outrage you feel from the volley of jeering attacks to come, out of the lying mouths of those we most despise, to sustain your anger, and channel it into every productive thing you can do to both repeal this bill and to remove the corrupt democrats and any irresolute republicans from office this November.

Countdown to Socialism

by editor on March 21, 2010

Obamacare and Lenin

Lenin would turn over in his crypt if he could see what's going on in the House of Representatives today

This, according to CBS, is the schedule for today’s Countdown to Socialism. Well, CBS didn’t actually call it that. We did.

Keep in mind that all times are Eastern Standard Time.

2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.
3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.
5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.
6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.

6:30 p.m.: Say goodbye to America as you’ve always known it.

Why, lord a’mighty, these Washington, DC folks spend tax dollars like Monopoly money. Good thing we have an aggressive cost cutter like Barack Obama in the White House.

Our moms always said, ”Don’t ask the question if you can’t handle the answer.” Maybe Bill O’Reilly should have followed that advice, because he seems absolutely dumbfounded by the answer to the question he asked Newt Gingrich.

O’Reilly: So the question becomes, “Is the president a socialist?” Let’s remember the definition of socialism that the government controls property and commerce. Does Mr. Obama want to seize your house? I say no others say yes but there’s no question the president wants income redistribution and more government control over things like health care… Talking Points believes the fed should have some oversight on health care companies but the price can be driven down if the companies are allowed to compete nationwide. Why doesn’t the president try that before he sets up another big brother operation in Washington? Look these things are complicated. To call Obama a socialist or communist is over-simplifying. Americans need healthcare relief. There’s no question about it. But, it can be done using competition in the free market place and common sense like tort reform where lawsuits against medical personnel are scrutinized. As we said last week, name-calling gets us nowhere. Good solutions to complicated problems will rule the day. Or, am I wrong? And, that’s a memo and now for the top story, joining us from Washington FOX News analyst Newt Gingrich. He has a free newsletter that you can sign up for at Newt.org. So do you think President Obama’s a socialist?

Gingrich: Sure. Of course he is.

Why are we not surprised that O’Reilly is surprised at Newt’s answer?

Rob Port of of the SayAnything blog toured the White House on Wednesday and took this photo in the library. He quotes the tour guide as saying the library is stocked with books specifically selected by First Lady herself.

Here in the socialist section of the library we see The American Socialist Movement and The Socialist Party of America.

Obviously, the inclusion of these books means nothing in and of itself. (The Editor of IHateTheMedia.com has biographies of Hitler and Napoleon in his library and that makes him neither a Nazi nor a Bonapartist).

But, as Port notes, it is interesting in light of White House advisor Anita Dunn calling Chairman Mao her favorite philosopher and the First Lady putting a bright, shiny Mao ornament on the White House Christmas tree.

Interesting, no?

Grrrrrrrrr: We admire Angelina Jolie for her mind

Grrrrrrrrr: We admire Angelina Jolie for her mind

Until now we wouldn’t have put her mind on a list of things we admire about Angelina Jolie. But an article in US magazine has convinced us to have a change of heart:

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.

“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.

But don’t expect to see the Salt actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.

“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.

And that’s where we part ways with the lovely Angelina. Barack Obama is not all smoke and mirrors.

There’s also a liberal helping of bullshit.

Texas Governor Rick Perry didn’t mince words in a recent speech:

“This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

While American leftists find this comment shocking, foreign leftists seem to agree with Perry.

Breitbart.com reports:

The Chinese have learned English from his speeches and celebrated the way he rolls up his sleeves. Now President Barack Obama is finally coming, and he’s being greeted with “Oba Mao” T-shirts and a statue of him that bursts into flames.

The Associated Press reveals that Fidel Castro has a man crush on Obama and warmly welcomes him to the ranks of Communist leaders. Or his boudoir. We’re not sure which Castro wants more.

Fidel Castro appears to have a fascination with the American leader that would make Obama Girl jealous, writing obsessively not only about his politics, but of his youth and vigor.

And unlike with past American heads-of-state — he slammed President George W. Bush as a genocidal drunk — Castro seems to genuinely like the fresh face in Washington.

Since handing over the Cuban presidency to his brother in February 2008, the 83-year-old has continued to publish his thoughts in essays called “Reflections of Comrade Fidel,” which are dutifully printed in state media and read repeatedly on government-controlled radio and television.

Hardly a week goes by without a mention of his nemesis to the north, the most recent on Thursday. In an opinion piece that took up an entire newspaper page, Castro waxed philosophic about everything from Obama’s Asia trip to his prospects for re-election.

Last month, Castro pronounced it a good thing that the American president was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In September, he termed Obama’s call-to-action on global warming courageous.

See, Obama is bringing people together. Who ever thought an evil Republican fascist racist homophobe like Rick Perry would find himself agreeing with Fidel Castro, the wise elder of the “progressive” movement?

A President’s in real trouble when he loses his base. And that’s the only way to interpret the fact that socialists are slip slidin’ away from their early enthusiasm for the Press Event President.

Here’s how the World Socialist Web Site reports the end of the slobbering love affair:

The combined US troop deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan have now reached a higher level than existed at any time under the presidency of George W. Bush. This surge past the record set by its predecessor marks another grim milestone in the Obama administration’s escalation of American militarism.

In addition to the 21,000 US soldiers and Marines that Obama ordered deployed to Afghanistan as part of the escalation he unveiled last March, another 13,000 “support” troops are being quietly sent to the country with no official announcement, the Washington Post reported Tuesday.

This stealth buildup is a replay of the methods used by the Bush administration in its Iraq surge, when it announced the deployment of an additional 20,000 combat troops while saying nothing about the 8,000 support troops sent with them.

In neither case was the failure to declare the full number an oversight. Obama, like Bush before him, recognizes that the military interventions he oversees are deeply unpopular with the majority of the American people.

According to the troop numbers provided by the Post, there are now 65,000 US troops in Afghanistan, with another 124,000 still in Iraq, for a total of 189,000 American military personnel waging two colonial-style wars and occupations.

At the height of the Bush administration’s 2007 “surge” in Iraq, there were 26,000 US troops in Afghanistan and 160,000 in Iraq, for a total of 186,000.
There is every indication that the policies being pursued by the Obama White House will send these numbers significantly higher.

That early aura of invincibility is slip slidin’ away, Barack, it’s slip slidin’ away. Which is our cheesy way of leading into the Paul Simon video embedded at the top of this story.

Ronald Reagan argues against ObamaCare

This video tells the remarkable story of Lindsay McCreith, a retired Canadian who had a stage two cancerous brain tumor.

McCreith was told it would take four-and-a-half months to get an MRI in Canada. So he came to the United States and got one done in one day. Then, after Canadian doctors saw the tumor on his MRI, he was told he would have to wait three months to see a surgeon. So he returned to the United States and was scheduled for surgery the same week. The process that would have taken eight months in Canada took just six weeks in the United States.

Luckily, McCreith turned to a Canadian company called Timely Medical Alternatives for help.

Doesn’t the fact that a company named Timely Medical Alternatives exists tell you everything you need to know about healthcare in Canada?

Uh-oh. The Canadian Medical Association believes the country’s system is “sick” and needs help from the doctors to cure it.

“We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize,” said Dr. Anne Doig. The doctor added that it’s a little thing called sustainability that’s causing massive problems with the Canadian health care system.

She added, “We know that there must be change. We’re all running flat out, we’re all just trying to stay ahead of the immediate day-to-day demands.”

Why, they’re even uttering the unutterable: They want private insurers allowed back in the Canadian system.

It’s almost like our neighbors to the north were adopting a free enterprise system. Or something.

Michelle Obama likes pie. Especially your pie. Doesn’t matter how hard you worked to get your pie, she wants it. In fact, she thinks it would be a really good idea if everyone had a piece of your pie.

Here’s what the First Lady said on the campaign trail on April 8, 2008.

“The truth is most Americans don’t want much. Folks don’t want the whole pie. Most Americans feel blessed to thrive a little bit. But that’s out of reach for them. The truth is, in order to get things like universal healthcare and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”

That someone, of course, does not include Michelle nor her brood. No, they’ll be grabbing pieces of everyone’s pies during their upcoming vacation at a plush Martha’s Vineyard estate. No one’s quite sure what this little getaway will cost the taxpayers, but similar properties in the area go for as much as $50,000 per week.

We don’t begrudge the Obamas their chance to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

We just wish they’d keep their hands off our pie.
