Thousands without power in Los Angeles after high demand due to heat wave. Yeah baby! Let’s use more solar and wind power so the entire effing state can be like this.

We had a dinner discussion last night about a friend of my kids who is trying to save the planet. She’s taking a stand and refusing to use plastic.

The three of them went to Panda Express for take out and planned to go eat at a nearby park. Their friend got hers on a paper plate since PE to go is served in styrofoam boxes. She had to hold her paper plate in her lap all the way to the park. Then they got to LOL at her because she had to use chopsticks to eat. Apparently she never ate with them before and was not going to use the plastic utensils. I told them next time to remind her how much destruction Asian countries do to the enviro with those disposable chopsticks!

LOL…Gullible liberals will never change. Years ago one of my sons wife decided she was not going to eat meat, most vegatables or processed foods again. The only thing she would eat was blended fruits with a few veggies 3 times per day. My grandson was about 6 months old at the time, still on the tit, and she could not figure out why that boy had the squirts all the time. Anyone who has eaten to many fresh fruits at one time know to stay close to the restroom because you are going to need it! I asked her if she had the same problem, she said yes, then I told her what you eat is what that child eats since he is still breast feeding. She finally got it and decided a good hamburger and fries would taste good.

If you want a real education in double talk, ask a California greenie why nuclear and hydro are NOT considered renewable energy sources.

Try telling them Palo Verde Nuclear Plant west of Phoenix produces enough electricity to supply power to 1.8 million families yet it sits on 600 acres. And most of that is empty land for security reasons. A solar plant big enough to supply 1.8 million families would cover about half the state of Nevada.

Hydro power already supplies about 35% of the renewable electricity in our country and who knows how much that could be expanded if not for the eco freaks. Fish ladders on the Columbia are a proven tool so salmon can get upriver to spawn. Never heard of a fish problem in Lake Mead or along the TVA project. Even Kalifornicate has several hydroelectric dams to help supply electricity to the state. Besides, most people like dams. We get electrical power, they hold water back for later use down stream, they create recreational areas where people can go boating, swimming and fishing, nothing wrong with a dam in the right place on a good river. This is where we need to be looking for renewable energy, not at solar or windmills.

With a little design tweaking, a LOT of hydroelectric power could be produced with the tears of liberals alone.

Plus, no more droughts…ever!

Lol…Nice to think so but sorry Joe, it doesn’t work that way. I live near a lake created by a dam built in 1938 to hold water for farmers down stream. And we have been in a severe drought for 6 months because of lack of rain. The water is divided up to go to the irrigation districts down stream from here, the farmers get the water. Ranchers get nothing. Then there are the pacts made between states. Since this river flows into Texas to the Rio Grande then the Gulf of Mexico we have to send Texas X amount of water based on snow pack and rainfall, And Texas gets that water no matter what happens to us up stream. It’s a complicated problem made worse by ecofreaks and the EPA.

Check out the post I wrote here about the reasons ranchers in the arid southwest build spreader dams on their land, we try to hold back and save as much water from the few rains we get to help the land.

What I meant was that there will never be a shortage of liberal tears, not that Progressives are capable of managing a water system.

If a drought does get going, all President Trump would have to do is nominate another Supreme Court Justice.

Then we see articles like this from just 2 years ago, eco freaks want to tear out hydroelectric dams on the Snake river to save the salmon.

http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2016/10/ruling_forces_discussions_on_b.html

And the Bonneville Power companies reply, what they will have to do to insure the same amount of electricity that the 4 dams provide now. At a much higher cost and millions of tons of carbon emissions.

Ecofreaks are so stupid it boggles the mind.
