Two children hospitalized with sunburns after school forbade them from applying sunscreen. “Children cannot apply the block to themselves unless they have a doctor’s note as the district considers sunscreen an over-the-counter medication requiring prescription.” Ummm, an over-the-counter medication is sold without a prescription, hence the designation “over-the-counter.” Regardless, how about at least getting the kids into the shade before they burst into flames?
