“We will not leave town until we cut spending and get our fiscal house in order”

by editor on April 8, 2011

We appreciate the sentiment expressed by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, but realistically speaking, that would mean that the Republicans won’t return to their home districts for decades.

Astute observers will note that Republicans gave Cantor a standing ovation. Democrats gave him a sitting cold shoulder.

I strongly suspect the Republicraps will cave and extend paying our bankrupt government for another day or two instead of pressing home our advantage and making the point that we need to make some real serious cuts. What they’ve settled on is already miniscule in comparison to the overall budget! 3.7 trillion and they were mumbling something about finally cutting 35 to 40 billion, after they caved to the Demoncraps, from the 61 billion they’d balleyhooed about. That’s like trying to find some way to cut 35 to 40 dollars out of a 3700 dollar home budget! Or, oh my gosh, 61 dollars out of a 3700 dollar home budget! I might have to give up my subscription to PLAYBOY! We are still 1700 dollars overdrawn, where does that money come from? (I purposely took nine zeros off the actual numbers so your eyes don’t glaze over and your heads don’t explode!) Out of our a$$e$, that’s where it comes from and the Fed keeps printing funny money like there’s no tomorrow. These f***ing scumbags are nothing but gangsters, thieves and thugs! I hate them more today than I did yesterday and I’ll probably hate them more tomorrow than I do today!

a cut, is a cut, is a cut…Shakespear. Most of the Republicans are listening to their constituents and are voting against the chicago machine. Most Democrats are STILL s***stick dirtbag anti-Americans that should be voted out in the next election. Lord knows why people still vote for the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Brown, Schumer, weiner (small ‘w’), Fwank, and Al Franken? Are you shitting me? At least the Republicans are giving it a shot. You might think they aren’t doing enough, but look what they’re up against. The dark side.

Let me see if I have this strait……the military is a non-essential service, but these baboons are?

The military should be the LAST government employees that are shut off. The effing elected scum should be the FIRST followed next by their asskissers, er staff! Naturally it is the other way around. What a bunch of indescribable sleazebags.

Amen brother! I went through the Reagan shutdowns in ’81 and ’84, Bush the First shutdown in ’90, and the House shutdown on Clinton in ’95. At no time did our military personnel miss a paycheck so what is wrong with the Gomer Pyles in the House and Senate this time? Most of them have never served our country.

These goombahs really want to see some pissed off people wait until us 20 million or so veterans start turing up the heat! navyvet, do what I started doing last month. I have been hammering on our national VFW and American Legion commanders, I am a lifetime member of both, to quit screwing around and start putting the pressure on the fools on Capitol Hill! This is not the time for politics and fancy conventions, it is time to act and I have been very vocal about the fact.

The Republicans are really up against it with these whiny, disingenuous, moonbat Democrats. I hope they hang tough.

I tell you, the thing that pisses me off only slightly less than the refusal to properly pay our fine young men and women in the military, is all the caterwalling about all the women who will die if planned parenthood is cut off. It’s not even a good false argument. Really, are they only going to abort boys from here on out? If not, then how many potential women will planned parenthood eliminate if they continue to be funded by a public that largely believes abortion is wrong?

So far all I see is all talk and no action. The Republicans appear to be doing what they usually do…caving in to the Democrats. Their elephant is neutered. There’s already news about them caving in on prohibiting the EPA from doing anything about the non-existent CO2 problem.

It appears none of them have any balls whatsoever, except perhaps Palen and Trump.

Just found out we military folks will only get 1/2 a paycheck on the 15th… had to call my people to make sure they were going to be ok. I just hope they make it worth it by sticking to their guns and get us a balanced budget after all this drama. THAT is when I will be pissed: if they cave and give into the administration. Boehner, Cantor… Stick to your guns!

if the government closes down and nobody notices do we still have to pay our taxes?

they have already stated that, of course, the IRS will remain open to process payments INTO the gov, but not payments OUT to the people!

E-filing people will get their money. Paper people won’t (if it does happen)

I swear to you this is crazy. Sometimes I am not logged in and I have to do it old school posting and sometimes on the very next page I am logged in and I can post normally without the captcha. ???

Just noticed on home page I am not logged in, then when I got to a story I am logged in. Earlier I was logged in (twice log myself in) but I was still doing captcha on the story, but that is not happening anymore it seems.

I made a change in an option on the site and now I’ve just set it back to how it was. See if things are better now.

Kimmy, what results in government has Trump ever had? Winning in business is not at all the same as winning in politics. You have to learn how it works, and how to move things forward–you can’t just get the title and expect everyone to follow along (unless of course you are Obama with a huge majority in the house and senate–even then praise God, he didn’t get everything he wanted) Reagan was great not just because he was a great communicator, he had leadership experience in government as Gov. of California, and he knew how to graciously bring both sides to the table and work out a compromise — and he compromised a lot, but ultimately he moved the country forward. I don’t think Trump has any clue how to do that in the political world.
