Welcome to Pyongyang: North Korea’s first video game is awful. Now we know what their dear leader Kimchi Un does all day when he’s not exploding nukes or blowing up his unfavored generals with mortars. We hear next month’s release will be a game titled Gangnam in the Gulag.

Well, I have to admit it doesn’t sound any lamer than some video games. Who would have thought that one big dot racing around a maze eating smaller dots could have spawned a revolution?

Haha, cool! It’s a browser-based online game!
You can play it here: http://www.pyongyangracer.co/

Well, I think. It’s been loading for about 5 minutes now. Will keep all posted . . .

ROR, no ruck. Maybe just doesn’t like Firefox or Iron. To be fair, what I can get of it, it sounds a bit like a pretty good game I still have (haven’t played in a long time) called London Racer, which is a similar concept, although P. Racer seems more basic. You’d race other cars around London, or up & down the M1, collecting power-ups and bonuses, trying to wreck the other cars without killing your own, and every so often getting stopped by the cops. It’s actually produced by a Sino-British tour company which conducts tours of Best Korea, check it out. They obviously are portraying NK in the best light they can, but they do acknowledge a few sticking points, such as referring to the “Korean War/Fatherland Liberation War” or whatever they call it.

Speaking of Pyongyang….. What’s funny about this is they mention a 2005 article about a nK series on males being encouraged to trim their hair in the Socialist style. One of my former Sailors emailed that article to the entire command in rebellion after being told to get his hair cut. Thus, he’s a FORMER Sailor.
