There’s really nothing left to satirize. Absolutely nothing. Soon The Onion will be running straight news, because everything has become parody.
PETA, aka People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, should now stand for People for the Equivalent Treatment of Anything. The organization officially became a caricature of itself as it criticized President Obama for swatting a fly.
“We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals,” PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said. “Swatting a fly on TV indicates he’s not perfect.”
So to make sure it doesn’t happen again, PETA sent the president a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, which allows users to trap and release flies.
On the bright side, life must be practically heaven on earth when this is all you have to complain about.
For the record, we love animals and hate animal cruelty. But how is a fly the same as an animal? What’s next, equal rights for mosquitoes?

PITA “fly’s” off the handle when Obama kills a pesky insect, where is their indignation with late term abortions? And….why didn’t the President read the fly it’s “Miranda Rights” before executing the little terrorist! Helen Thomas will probably question if the fly was treated fairly under the Geneva Convention! And so it goes…….

ive had a gnat infestation since summer started, and peta would send alf after me if they knew what ive been doing
ive got a vat of acidic liquids, which i pour tasty gnat food into, they fly in, and get burned alive
when they fly on me, i dont smack them off, i capture them, and out of vengance, i either feed them to my fish, set them aflame, or dunk them in the acid.
so far, out of the who knows how many friggin things, ive brutally exicuted 13, and ive just randomly killed 2
I wonder how much love for little creatures these PETA folks would show after being attacked by, oh.. let’s say… fire ants? I’m just sayin! Like they’d be looking for their catch and release bag? Nah!
Oh, and this isn’t meant to praise or otherwise applaud Barry for ANYthing he did or has done or ever will do. Just to clarify..
Gotta say, I’m with Obama on this one. Let PETA members move to Africa and help save mosquitoes in malaria infested swamps.

Now for some history… I used to live, as a newly wed in a Cockroach infested 30 ft trailer back in ol’ Virginia .. and, I have pictures to prove it.
(Love makes us all blind fools, but, well, still can’t resist the man!)
I used to Catch cockroaches, on the run, with my bare hands, and flush them down the toilet or sink.
Got quite good at it, actually.
Concerning Peta, they make compassion a joke, but anything carried to an extreme is in danger of becoming a joke. It is belittling the real virtue to see it so mistreated – misapplied..
I Think the word is satire? exaggeration? insanity? Stupidity? Fanatical madness?
