The worst argument ever for ObamaCare: It will be like the post office

August 11, 2009, 6:23 pm · 8 comments

Let’s just ignore all the stuttering and stammering from the Wizard of Uhs. Let’s concentrate on his contention that ObamaCAre will be good because it’s like the post office.

  1. The post office has no competition. It has a monopoly on first class mail. Much like ObamaCare will have a monopoly on healthcare.
  2. Despite that monopoly, they lose money hand-over-fist every year. Much like ObamaCAre will have a monopoly on healthcare.
  3. Fedex and UPS eat the post office’s lunch where they actually compete. Much like insurance companies…uhhhh…well, there won’t really be any insurance companies to compete with ObamaCare.

The Greatest President In History, who has never worked in private enterprise, shows absolutely no understanding of how that real world thing works.

Geez, when he talks about the Post Office he admits they can’t compete with UPS & FedEx.
This guy doesn’t have a CLUE about how capitalism really works.

What else would you expect from a jackbooted Stalinst weasel? Complete and total ignorance of economics is an absolute prerequisite for supporting the existence of any government, let alone becoming president. Only the most mentally ill people in the United States can become government employees.

Read what The One has said about how to inspire the profit motive:

Obama’s economic program suddenly begins to make sense.

“maybe if you take some of the profit motive out…that’s going to incentivize the private sector to do even better.”

Spoken like a true, experienced capitalist.

You forgot to mention racist, duplicitous, of dubious birth, narcissistic, hypnotic, charismatic, reactionary, funded by wall st, and an egodystonic homosexual attraction towards an absentee father.

Yes. One very specific person comes to mind:

Adolf Hitler

Post Office vs Healthcare Analogy
Geez, Mr President, I’m old & senile, so I almost missed your profound analogy of the US Postal Service & Gov’t Controlled Healthcare.
So since the Gov’t manages & oversees the US Postal Service which is currently running a $7billion deficit in (2009).
You propose that I become comfortable with a Gov’t Managed Healthcare Program because a $7Billion deficit at the US Postal Service is an admirable management standard???

I am certainly no fan of the post office . . . but at least the Constitution authorized congress to create it. Healthcare “reform” is not specifically permitted . . . and so it is prohibited.

All the same I think we must admit there is some brilliance behind Obama’s plan, the solvency of social security will be far less of an issue once his fascist health care significantly diminishes the life expectancy of average Americans.

“So long as the government isn’t being subsidized by the taxpayer.” Isn’t that the very definition of how the government, since the creation of the income tax, gets the lion’s share of it’s money? Doesn’t the very fact that it’s a government program mean it’s subsidized by the taxpayer?

And by Barack comparing a govt. health program to the Post Office you have to wonder if you want your health care from the type of folks who give you the TSA, the IRS, etc.
