For some reason, some unknown and unfathomable reason, the fire chief in that conservative farming and oil community thought it would be a good idea to remove the American flag from his department’s uniforms.
As you might well imagine, this did not sit well with either the firefighters or the residents of Buck Owens’ adopted hometown.
As Buck might have said to the fire chief, “You’ve got a tiger by the tail.”
