Barack Obama 6, George Bush 0

by editor on August 29, 2010

No matter how much someone may love Barack Obama, that love pales in comparison to the love he has for himself. He is, as he said, the one he has been waiting for.

Take this week’s radio message to the nation — the one in which he talked about the successful end of combat operations in Iraq.

Oddly enough, he didn’t mention the name George Bush. Not once. He did, on the other hand, say “I” six times in five minutes and twenty-six seconds. But none of them came in a sentence that said, “I was wrong about the surge.”

Honestly, the surge was a battle for improving a War, not winning it. Thank God we are getting out, what a waste of our Youth and Treasury set on a bed of lies.

Yes, but the important thing is, he said “I” 6 times.

He would have gained a bit of respect from me had he said that he was wronga bout the surge and that Bush deserves credit for Obama’s ability to closing the operations down little by little (which is the truth). This man is arrogant and I really cannot stand him.

Did you count how often he said “responsible”, “America”, “new”, “veteran”, “war”,”troops” and “they/their/them/those”? (Don´t answer that, it´s a rhetorical question)

This is the Presidents weekly address. Why would he talk about Bush? Did Bush talk about Clinton in his weekly addresses 2-3 years in to his term? Did Clinton talk about Bush Sr.? Did Bush Sr. talk…?

He had a message concerning a development and was talking about THAT. If he has a message about Bush, he´ll surely remember to mention his name.

There´s no reason why we should be reminded of those surreal years, anyway.

Again: This is the Presidents weekly address. An update on what HE has been up to and what HE is planning. 6 “I”´s during a 5 minute speech about HIS activities isn´t that much.

You try talking about what you´ve been doing in the weekend for 5 minutes without saying “I” a couple of times.

You´re clutching at straws.

Couple his hand gestures with….”Let me be perfectly clear.”

And we have a winner!

He’s a legend in his own mind. I’m tired of his smugness and those superflous hand jestures of his, one of the things taught to him by his mentors I’m sure, while getting him ready for politics. He’s never actually worked in his life has he?

I would also like to hear him announce right afterward, ” And I will never be heard from again” ( unlike his partners of destruction jimaaah carter and Slick Willie clinton).

The next “I” I would like to hear from Barry Sotero is, “Effectively immediately, I resign the presidency of the United States.”
