Bring in the death panel: Michael Moore’s “Capitalism” is on life support

When a thoroughbred racehorse breaks a leg on the track, they rush out and quickly put the poor beast out its misery with a bullet to the head. Anyone have a spare round for Michael Moore’s “Capitalism?”

capitalism-poster When a thoroughbred racehorse breaks a leg on the track, they rush out and quickly put the poor beast out its misery with a bullet to the head. Anyone have a spare round for Michael Moore’s “Capitalism?”

This weekend’s results are in. Capitalism’s total box office receipts were a sad, sad $703,000. It’s total box office is a paltry $12,937,000 after five weeks of release. Five films brought in more than that this week alone.

Capitalism’s vital signs are extremely weak. Friends and family are gathered at its bedside. No heroic measures will be taken to keep it alive. Say your goodbyes. Bring in the priest and give the last rites. Order a casket and a hearse. Schedule a day at the cemetery.

And then pause and laugh your ass off at that fat bastard Michael Moore.

“Capitalism” (with a capital “C”) proves that capitalism (with a lower case “c”) works

Michael Moore may hate capitalism, but he’s learned a valuable lesson by making Capitalism. That is, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

Hey, Michael, how’s the box office for your latest movie?
Hey, Michael, how’s the box office for your latest movie?

Michael Moore may hate capitalism, but he’s learned a valuable lesson by making Capitalism. That is, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. Or its Hollywood corollary, you can lead a whore to water, but you can’t make her drink. But we digress.

What Moore has learned is that no one wants to see a film that calls for the destruction of a system that made it possible for that film to be made.

The total box office for “Capitalism” dropped 39% this weekend despite playing in an additional 33 theaters. This weekend’s total box office was a mere $2,700,000 and the total two week take is just $9,095,000.

Think about it this way: At $10 per ticket, that means only 270,000 people saw “Capitalism” this weekend. That works out to 271 people per theater. Figure three showings per day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, that means a sad, sad average of 30 people paid to see each showing of Capitalism.

Of course, this is Hollywood. So a documentary that’s full of lies and distortions that no one want to see, well, that’s surefire Oscar material.

Al Gore proves he has all the answers. Unless you ask him a question.

Al Gore showed up a global warming conference in Wisconsin. Unfortunately for the former Veep, so did Phelim McAleer, who has just produced a documentary that exposes all the lies contained in Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.

When Gore tries to deflect and disengage, McAleer has the temerity to challenge him with follow-up questions. Why, the nerve of that cheeky little Limey.

So the organizers did what any self-respecting global warming fanatic would do – they cut off McAleer’s microphone.

Not Evil Just Wrong, McAleer’s documentary, premieres on October 18. We’re sure he’d welcome you and Al Gore to show up and ask questions.

Oh, la la! French politician who jumped to Polanski’s defense also jumped young boys

Frédéric Mitterrand, the French culture minister and the first major political figure to leap to the defense of Roman Polanski, admitted in his autobiography that he paid “young boys” for sex

Frédéric Mitterrand, the French culture minister and the first major political figure to leap to the defense of Roman Polanski, admitted in his autobiography that he paid “young boys” for sex while he was traveling in Thailand.

Here’s how the Guardian UK reports the story:

Mitterrand’s impassioned comments in support of Polanski, who had initially faces charges of rape, and against an “a frightening America”, were controversial and the French government eventually distanced itself.

But Mitterrand’s critics on the political extreme right and the left have now questioned his suitability for office over his self-confessed penchant for “young boys” in Bangkok.

In his bestselling autobiographical work, The Bad Life, published in 2005, Mitterrand describes travelling round Thailand, confessing: “I got into the habit of paying for boys”.

He wrote of his attraction to young male prostitutes despite knowing “the sordid details” of the sex trade. “All these rituals of the market for youths, the slave market excited me enormously … the abundance of very attractive and immediately available young boys put me in a state of desire.”

French. Culture. Minister. ‘Nuff said.

Distaste for disaster: New end-of-the-world movie is unintentionally hilarious

When we read that there was a new disaster film called “2012,” we assumed it was about Democrats retaining control of both houses of congress. Luckily, we were wrong.

When we read that there was a new disaster film called “2012,” we assumed it was about Democrats retaining control of both houses of congress.

Luckily, we were wrong.

2012 tells the supposedly terrifying story of a world simultaneously struck by fires, earthquakes, meteor showers and floods. Let’s not forget airplanes crumbling skyscrapers, continents slipping beneath the seas, and highways buckling like roller coasters.

Amazingly, they left out global warming and adult acne.

Directed by Roland Emmerich, the guy behind other over-the-top movies like “Independence Day” and “The Day After Tomorrow,” it stars leftists John Cusack, Danny Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Amanda Peet, plus Thandie Newton, whose politics we don’t know, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who we’ve never heard of.

One critic said, “The 2012 The Worst is Over Movie Clip that recently found its way online is full of the absurd action and grand special effects … As the clip continues, the delivered action is so over-the-top it almost looks like an cartoon.”

Oh, wait. We’re wrong again.

That was a review of the Obama administration’s first nine months.

Who are the perverts who signed Hollywood’s Roman Polanski petition?

You’ll find hundreds of names on Hollywood’s pro-Polanski petition. Here are the names and why it seems a bit eerie that they should support a man convicted of drugging and raping a child.

Is anyone surprised that Woody Allen, seen here with his wife and stepdaughter, supports Roman Polansky
Is anyone surprised that Woody Allen, seen here with his wife and stepdaughter, supports Roman Polansky

You’ll find hundreds of names on Hollywood’s pro-Polanski petition. But to be honest, there are very few “Hollywood” names on the list and a ton of European names on the list. Lots of guys you’ve never heard of named Luc and Jean-Jacques and Lucien and Guillermo.

That being said, several Hollywood names stand out. Here are the names and why it seems a bit eerie (a polite way of saying “sick”) that they should support a man convicted of drugging and raping a child.

Woody Allen – Actor/writer/director and legendary lecher who married his own adopted stepdaughter.

Buck Henry – Writer/actor who played Uncle Roy, the perverted babysitter on Saturday Night Live. He also wrote “Candy,” a film that imdb.com describes with these words, “Candy Christian is an innocent young girl when she first hears McPhisto, an alcoholic Welsh poet, talk of love and self-sacrifice. Candy narrowly escapes McPhisto’s attempt to rape her, only to succumb to her father’s Mexican gardener, Emmanuel.” And it goes downhill from there. Henry also wrote “The Graduate,” a film in which an older woman seduces a naïve college-aged boy.

Jeremy Irons – Actor who starred in a remake of Lolita. imdb.com’s plot synopsis says, “Humbert Humbert, a British professor coming to the US to teach, rents a room in Charlotte Haze’s house, but only after he sees her 14-year-old daughter, Dolores (Lolita), to whom he is immediately attracted. Though he hates the mother, he marries her as this is the only way to be close to the girl….”

Sam Mendes – Directed “American Beauty.” The imdb.com synopsis says, “Lester Burnham is in a mid-life crisis, caused by his stressed wife Carolyn and rebelling teenage daughter Jane. When Lester and Carolyn go watch Jane cheerleading, they meet Angela Hayes, and Lester, caught in sudden lust for Angela, decides to change his life.”

Mike Nichols – Writer/director who directed “The Graduate.” imdb.com’s synopsis of the film says, “Recent college graduate Benjamin Braddock is trapped into an affair with Mrs. Robinson, who happens to be the wife of his father’s business partner and then finds himself falling in love with her teenage daughter…”

We can’t help but remember the words of our mother: “A man is judged by the company he keeps.”

Michael Moore’s new film unlike his previous ones. This one blames Reagan for everything, instead of Bush.

Director and “Biggest Loser” candidate Michael Moore is awfully damn happy with himself over his latest movie. Director and “Biggest Loser” candidate Michael Moore is awfully damn happy with himself over his latest movie.

Writing in Huffington Post, Moore said “Having spent the last year and a half living pretty much under the radar and quietly putting together this movie for you, it is heartening, to say the least, to read the early reviews where Time Magazine called it ‘Moore’s magnum opus,’ the Los Angeles Times has declared it my ‘most controversial film yet,’ and Variety has said that Capitalism: A Love Story is ‘one of Moore’s best films.’ Wow. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, considering this film is an all-out assault against the racket polite people like to call ‘Wall Street.'”

Let’s see. Since Moore’s remarks that “Capitalism is both un-Christian and un-American, an evil that deserves not regulation but elimination,” we can kind of guess where this movie is going.

The Independent Eye, a blog committed to independent film review bemoans the fact that there are no conservative reviews of the film. We can’t understand why conservatives are not flocking to see it either, but we think it may have something to do with the fact that Moore is a fat idiot and his movies blow chunks.

Using his typical 1/4 truth documentary style, Moore again focuses on the misery of some to make his point (and his profits).

Now if he could just spare us the misery of another Michael Moore movie.

Not that there’s anything wrong with being Sean Penn

In another who-gives-a-crap moment, Sean Penn and wife, Robin, are calling it quits for at least the third time. If Sean was a conservative, like Sarah Palin, the malicious rumors would be swirling.

In another who-gives-a-crap moment, Sean Penn and wife, Robin, are calling it quits for at least the third time.

If Sean was a conservative, like Sarah Palin, the malicious rumors would be swirling. So, what the hell? Please feel free to read between the following lines.

Penn’s breakup to a good-looking female comes hot on the high heels after his portrayal of America’s first openly gay elected official and big Jim Jones supporter, Harvey Milk. Prior to the breakup, Penn made some pretty strong statements about gay marriage and called his fellow actors “commie, homo-loving, sons of guns” when he won an Oscar as Best Actor In A Homophobic Country for his role in Milk. (Penn later apologized for mentioning “guns” in his acceptance speech.)

Penn, who was once married to bi-sexual singer (tri-sexual if you count the dog from her Sex book) Madonna, recently backed out of a movie about three inseparable men.

Adding to the Tinseltown tongue wagging, paparazzi have said they recently saw Penn out on the arm of a pretty brunette. (Is Brad Pitt a brunette?)

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

ObamaCare 2009 versus Soylent Green 1973

Is it just us or is the plotline for ObamaCare starting to sound a lot like the plotline of Soylent Green? Medicare will be cut. Medicaid will be cut. End of life care will be denied. Bodies of the elderly will begin piling up and the government will have to figure out how to get rid of them.

Remember Soylent Green? It was a 1973 science fiction movie set in a future, fascist, overpopulated world.

“Soylent Green” was a food product provided by the government to its starving citizens. Police detective Charlton Heston discovered that people were mysteriously disappearing and attempted to find out why. In the end, as shown in this clip, he revealed the horrible secret of Soylent Green as he was being taken away by authorities.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

Emanuel thinks doctors’ decisions on who gets care should be based on “communitarianism.” Medical care, he said in a Hastings Center Report in 1996, should be reserved for the non-disabled and kept from those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens … An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.”

What’s the difference between Soylent Green and ObamaCare?

Soylent Green is people, but ObamaCare is anti-people.

LA school district outraged over “Bruno” school photos, not so outraged by sexual predator teachers

Bruno isn't half as fraudulent as LA School Superintendent Ramon Cortines

School District honcho Ramon Cortines is outraged by photos of pseudo gay fashion icon “Bruno” taken with football players at LA’s Birmingham High School.

Cortines howls that the district has “allowed our students to be used.”

We’d salute his efforts to protect the city’s children. Except for one thing: It’s nothing but phony showboating.

In reality, Cortines seems far more worried about students being used by comic predator Cohen in a Hollywood photo shoot than about students being used by real predators in the city’s classrooms.

A recent Los Angeles Times report concluded, “Repeatedly, the district failed to follow up on sexual misconduct complaints against employees once police or prosecutors dropped criminal actions. Some ended up at new schools. In at least one instance…the new principal had no idea of his history.”

Molesting your young students? No problem. Sexually involved with your older students? No problem. But shooting some funny photos with an actor? That’s a problem.

It’s not easy to be this stupid. Cortines must be a graduate of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Pointy-headed researchers accuse children’s films of perpetuating “heteronormativity”

A University of Michigan study says love stories told in G-rated children’s films (such as Disney’s Little Mermaid) are responsible for what they label “heteronormativity.” Real world translation: Not enough gay sex.

Perhaps the researchers be happier if kids movies had a little inter-species lesbian sex
Perhaps the researchers be happier if kids movies had a little inter-species lesbian sex

Hold onto your hats. You’re not going to believe this one.

A University of Michigan study says love stories told in G-rated children’s films (such as Disney’s Little Mermaid) are responsible for what they label “heteronormativity.”

Real world translation: Not enough gay sex.

“Despite the assumption that children’s media are free of sexual content, our analyses suggest that these media depict a rich and pervasive heterosexual landscape,” said a report in Gender & Society, a publication of the Sociologists for Women in Society.

Researchers looked at the most successful G-rated movies between 1990-2005 and concluded that kids’ films “construct heterosexuality” via “depictions of hetero-romantic love as exceptional, powerful, transformative, and magical,” and “depictions of interactions between gendered bodies in which the sexiness of feminine characters is subjected to the gaze of masculine characters.”

“Characters in love are surrounded by music, flowers, candles, magic, fire, balloons, fancy dresses, dim lights, dancing and elaborate dinners,” the report noted. “Fireflies, butterflies, sunsets, wind and the beauty and power of nature often provide the setting for – and a link to the naturalness of – hetero-romantic love.”

We say, bravo, you brave researchers. That’s what’s wrong with America’s kids. They need more gay sex in their cartoons! More group sex! More bestiality!

And for god’s sake, man, somebody put some pants on that perverted Donald Duck.

Father of the Year Alec Baldwin with his verbally-abused daughter Ireland

We can’t decide if this is funny or sad. Maybe both. Actor and awful father Alec Baldwin is writing a book on parenting. We assume it’s title will be “Do As I Say, Not As I Do.”

Ironically, he reveals his plans in family-friendly Playboy magazine:

“It will be ironic for some people, but I’m going to write a parenting book. We’re at… an awful place right now in terms of parenting. People are raising their children with the belief that we need to be friends with our children. Kids have too much power and call too many of the shots, telling their parents what they will and won’t do.”

Baldwin continues:

“People come home, walk up the driveway, put the key in the door, and they can’t do another hard job. Parenting your children effectively is a tough job.”

Here’s a sneak preview of the audio book version of Alec Baldwin’s Guide to Good Parenting. (It’s actually the god awful voicemail he left for his 11-year old daughter a few years ago, but we present it as a public service in hopes that no one – absolutely no one – will make the mistake of buying this lunatic’s parenting book).

Actor Morgan Freeman had decade-long affair with step granddaughter

Hey, Morgan, is that an Oscar in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
Hey, Morgan, is that an Oscar in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

Move over, Woody Allen. Make room for Morgan Freeman in the Vaguely Perverted Hall of Fame.

Freeman and his wife of 25 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, are going through an ugly divorce. Part of the ugliness revolves around accusations that the 72-year old actor carried on decade-long affair with E’Dena Hines, his step-granddaughter.

Hines is the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife, but was raised by Morgan and Myrna.

“Myrna said E’dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend’s house one evening,” a family friend told the Enquirer. “Both had been drinking and when they returned home Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse.”

Myrna confronted Morgan about the incident, but somehow managed to look the other way while the forbidden relationship escalated.

Freeman’s not talking. Probably on the advice of his attorney, his accountant, and anyone else with an ounce of sense.
