Four years after Michael Brown was shot by police, the neighborhood where he was killed still feels left behind. Yeah, when you riot, look and burn your town about to the ground and then wonder why businesses aren’t jumping for joy about investing there. SMH.

“..overcoming a legacy of racial segregation, economic exclusion and political disenfranchisement.”

1) Racial segregation? Keep voting Democrat.

2) Economic exclusion? For some reason, I can’t place my finger on it, businesses are reluctant to build in areas where their building or inventory gets torched.

3) Political disenfranchisement? See #1.

Edit: I found this on bestplaces.net:

Ferguson violent crime is 41.7. (The US average is 31.1)
Ferguson property crime is 63.3. (The US average is 38.1)

I don’t pretend to know the answers to Ferguson’s problems and I don’t know how it feels to fear for your life when a cop approaches you. If you keep voting for the same group of people for the last 50 years and expect things to get better, you are going to be disappointed.

It’s a shame to see people so stupid they don’t understand they did this to themselves. No sane businessman would build in that part of Ferguson knowing that they might get robbed a couple times per month or in a year or two that business may be torched. The people did this to themselves and until they figure that out they will continue to be SOL.

Progressives might do better politically if they would stop trying to make martyrs out of vicious thugs.
