Glenn Beck calls Rick Sanchez “the dumbest man on television”

by editor on August 23, 2010

Glenn Beck. Love him or hate him, it’s tough to disagree with him when he describes CNN anchor Rick Sanchez as “quite possibly the dumbest man on television. And that’s saying something because there are some dumb people in television.”

Here’s Beck hilariously riffing on some of Sanchez’ more famous inanities.

Being a very successful businessman myself in and around the DC area in a very specialized tech world, I know very few that still support obama. Many of us did, Perlcat (not me personally) but that has changed substantially. The successful ones that I know that still do, are mid/upper level managers, or board members/shareholders in large corporations. Few have fiduciary responsibility at the upper echelons.

My point was that although some are still democrats, most do now realize that their party has been hijacked by a liberal faction they do not recognize, and at this point in history it goes all the way to the top. There is a good reason why employment rates in this country are so low, why unemployment is so high…and it is because no one knows what is going to happen tomorrow due to the mindless policies of these people, and the fear that creates. Simple cause and effect…something few liberals understand….evident from the overall effect their policies have. And none of it has anything to do with George W. Bush, as they would have you believe. I would be happy to state absolutes in support of my beliefs..something our friend tony has yet to do, even with one simple question from our illustrious admin…typical of liberals.

Perlcat, your last paragraph is probably right on….and although few believe that the dems have any chance of retaining their seats, and thank God for it. Let’s hope that, like in 1994, the Republicans hear and heed…..although a boss of mine at IBM many years ago said, “hope is a shitty plan…”…….again, evident all around us today….

Tony, not sure I said anything about being a republican….I said, specifically, that no one that owns and operates successful businesses still support this administration. History is repeating itself….it generally does. It is why the democrats ran from Carter, why Clinton moved back to the middle. And, I don’t feel the need to justify my extensive education or resume to someone like you who does not prefer reality. It is simply not important to me what you believe until your clearly uneducated beliefs begin to affect the price of my beer. You just really aren’t that bright are you?

Yeah, I just go by the people in my circle of acquaintances — sometimes it is hard to not grab people by the lapels and shout “WTF are you *thinking*?” . Some are waking up, but others just aren’t.

They remind me a lot of a farmer I know and his chemical safety plan. I can sum it up for you in one sentence: “It hasn’t killed me yet, so it must be safe.”

It is a testament to the viability and resilience of our economic system that it can support people who are that absolutely divorced from reality. I just hope they don’t trash it so far that it cannot recover. The thing that liberal business people do not understand is that economics is reality, Government intervention alters that reality, and that intervention can only go so far before it breaks the government. To these people, the government intervention *is* the reality.

No, I keep seeing Lindsey Graham on the Sunday shows. So no, not all GOPers are smart. Too many just see D & R, they don’t get the concept of conservative, moderate, liberal, or progressive.

No, Tony, seriously….if you really think that anyone here is going to believe that you run anything, anything more than perhaps that lollipop stand, you are truly dillusional…but then, that is to be expected from a liberal. All of you are lillusional. I suppose you want us to believe that you think unions are the way of the future, too, right? Is your lollipop stand unionized? How is that working out for you?

No one that actually runs a business, ever, ever, would support this administration…and certainly does not pay attention to the liberal media. Facts are what they are, my friend….whether you believe or like them or not, is wholly irrelevant……

Actually, oddly enough, I know several successful businessmen who are still Obama supporters, and they’re not even buggy whip manufacturers. You have to remember that corporate welfare is alive and well, and the Democrat party is the party of Wall Street. Many business people who you’d think would know better buy into all of this stuff. It’s freaky, it is. However, almost ALL of them partake in either corporate welfare schemes, or have a way to make money off the present situation.

I don’t ascribe overtly malicious motives to many of them — I look at it like at a farmer who is CLEARLY overgrazing his land — you tell him in all sincerity that what he’s doing is poor practice, and he tells you: “i*1$$ off, the cows are still giving milk”. Until the economy actually BREAKS, many do not believe that their own little part contributes to the overall situation. Short on planning and foresight, I’d say, but that can also be said about an entire congress that is currently collectively peeing its pants looking at the polls where essentially, voters are checking the “anybody but Democrat” box.

I’d say the Republican party has earned this success, but it has not, nor has it learned its lesson if its idiotic support of Mike Castle is any indication. This would be one of those primaries where the RNC really ought to take a back seat and let the voters decide. That mud-slinging bit really pisses off the grass roots, and if the RNC loses the Tea Party, then they will guarantee many wins for the Democrat side. The stakes are too high, but evidently, somebody at RNC HQ is either an idiot or intent on committing party suicide.

Can you even read? And the comment about running 3 businesses? Sure you do, Tony….sure you do. Have anything to do with lollipops?

Having built several companies and having a pretty good grasp on economics, I can assure you that you would not be a fan of the current regime, or their economic killing policies…facts that, were you really running anything of substance, you would know.

But hey, good luck with that!

I just read this thread again, & I have some thoughts…

I still say that Tony is trying to hard here. He is trying so hard to convince himself that everyone who likes Beck is a racist, & maybe he’s on to something. I may be a hate monger, I realized I watch FoxNews, listen to Beck, El-Rushbo, Quinn & Rose, Andrew Wilkow, & I go to sites like IHateTheMedia, Newsbusters, RadioEqualizer, & of course, The Drudge Report. I also like hearing or reading David Horowitz, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, & there are others. So judging by the list I just wrote, I am a hater monger…& I have just decided to embrace it.

Tony, my young, imptetuous friend…you are right that you are entitled to your opinions, even though your opinions have no basis in reality. You see, we Conservatives try to always live in the real world, you apparently, don’t.

You might want to try grab some good reading, and gain some comprehension on real world economics and history….other than the talking points drivel espoused by your liberal bretheren, none of which is based in fact. All you’ve done here is prove your unbelievable personal ignorance, and perpetutated the unequivocal ignorance that is liberalism….
