John McCain tells “Tea Party hobbits” to jump back in their holes while begging the MSM to do the same with his

by editor on July 30, 2011

It looks like John McCain is in the mood. In the mood for a little mainstream media love. And he knows just how to get it.

First he puts on a little Barry White. Then he pours a little of the bubbly and finally he gets them really purring by lampooning the Tea Party while letting it oh-so-casually slip that the RINO from Arizona has a fetish for those wee little people of Middle Earth.

john-mccain

John McCain covers his face. Unfortunately, it wasn't done in shame.

One Reason story to rule them all:

The five-term Republican senator from Arizona gets his sneer on:

Mr. McCain mocked Tea Party-allied Republicans in the House for believing — wrongly, he said — that President Obama and Democrats will get the blame for a default if Republicans refuse to increase the nation’s debt ceiling.

By that flawed logic, “Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform entitlements and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth,” he said, quoting a Wall Street Journal editorial

“This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell into G.O.P. nominees,” he jeered, referring to two losing Tea Party candidates for the Senate in 2010.

And while we would like to commend the man for the sort of crackhead political thinking that will lead to the creation of a third major party we’re not sure we need any more lessons from John McCain.

He’s already taught us everything we need to know about losing presidential elections.

Well, I’ll bet Palin is a little unhappy with herself for helping this senile old man get re-elected. Not to put too fine a point on it, I don’t care about his military service any longer. He’s done far more harm to the US as a senator than any good he may have done as a serviceman.
I don’t think he’ll run in the next election but conservatives in his state need to get together and take over the party apparatus to ensure that if he tries to run he’s defeated by a conservative or when he retires and tries to appoint a successor (which he will) that his designate is defeated.
Having said that, real conservatives should be acting now to take over the local GOP apparatus in preparation for 2012 nominations.

I agree with most of your post, but his military service is a separate issue.
What he has done since then has no bearing on what he did in the service, and to try to merge the two does everyone a disservice.
Complain all you want about his political life, but do not ever denigrate his military service.

poppajoe49, I wasn’t denigrating his military service, what I’m saying is that the damage he’s done the the country has by this time outweighed the service he did for the country. Too often his actions have been essencially been forgiven by people because of his service. I would agree that they are seperate issues providing that the good one did with one wasn’t used as a shield to defend wrong did with the other.

I think the Rino is WORSE then the liberal. At least liberals put the big red “L” on and wear it proudly. The Rino is s sneaky back door liberal in disguise, always waiting to have more debt and more government sucking up our pay for the leeches benefit. Thanks Mr. McCain for showing your true Obamaesque colors and attitudes.

Exactly. We wouldn’t have gotten to this sorry-assed state of affairs if the RINOS actually had principles. Who needs ’em? Not us.

RINOS are about maintaining their place in the political power structure, even if in the minority of that power. McCain & Graham are 2 of the best examples of this.

They make me want to puke.

What the hell were the people of Arizona thinking when they pick McCain over J. D. Hayworth?

There’s no accounting for stupidity. Where I live the voters re-elected a stroke-impaired Democrat Senator named Tim Johnson.

South Dakota… I knew I liked your posts for reasons more than just their content. Over the past 20+ years I’ve spent many a day knee-deep in Black Hills trout streams and tromping the shorelines of West River stock dams chasing bass and pike. Great faces, great places.

Yup – And we’re about to host a few hundred thousand really loud Harleys. I said REALLY LOUD Harleys. Did I mention they are loud?

And one of these years I’m going to be able to get away from work long enough to visit there in August!

It is worse than I imagined. The man was reading from a script. I had thought that he was just spouting nonsense of the top of his head inspired by his pharmacist mixing up his prescriptions again.

John McCain = DNC’s 2008 MVP!

Kip Hooker

I can’t wait to see who the 2012 DNC MVP is going to be (well actually I can), right now my money is on RINO Romney.

He’s just another fine example of a damn RINO who got the nomination with the help of the msm. McCain can be held accountable for the TARP fiascos that have done not one DAMN thing to help anyone but the bankers and hedge fund people and of course the members of congress who’s pensions are all with AIG.

When his arrogant ass was up for election last year he was all about the TEA party. Just like a pimp, use and abuse. Now that he’s safe for a few more years he again is out bashing people that want the out of control spending STOPPED NOW. He along with McConnell has been in DC so long that they feel they are entitled to be there and ignore the people who elect them to represent us and not the power brokers. Right now there is a revolution brewing, peaceful but brewing. If the people are ignored too long the peaceful aspect just might go away. McCain claims to be a historian. He should read and study how the French Revolution came about. I don’t thing “Let them drink beer” is going to help.

Screw the white headed puppet. Hey John, ask the wife to let you have another Bud from her account and sit down and STFU.

Well stated Max. I was thinking the same thing but couldn’t find the words to be as diplomatic as you put it.

Senator McCain,

With all due respect for the exceptional service to your country, and the extreme suffering that you endured at the hands of some very wicked people, I would cautiously suggest that you need to re-assess your ill-advised comments against Tea-Party Patriots.

I would also suggest some time out to spend more time with his family or to hike the Appalachians or something.

Maybe he can go hunting with Dick Cheney?

I additionally suggest that he spend a little more time actually listening to his constituents …. something ALL our representatives should be doing and clearly are not.

I’m glad he’s still around. Maybe then thinking people will see that Obumster really was the lessor of two evils. Better a socialist that’s out in the open to galvanize the resistance than a RINO closet socialist who grows government a little more slowly but grows it all the same.

I just pray thinking people, McCain included, come out from under the veil of deception perpetrated by the socialists and their liberal Main Stream Media.

What gives you the impression that McCain is “under the veil of deception?” I’m almost sure the North Viet Namese commies that beat the shit out of him all those years actually succeeded in turning him. I think he’s just another form of Manchurian Candidate…one with an R after his name!

After reading the rest of this thread, I’m convinced your right.

I say it all the time these days. I’m glad Obama won. Or should I say, I’m glad McCain lost. Because McCain would have done nearly as bad a job as Obama has done, but the results would be blamed on Republicans if McCain had done it. Now, the blame falls squarely on Democrats.

Beck said that some time ago, & I agree with both of you.

The Editor is right, I think. McCain wasn’t getting any attention from the MSM because he had no role in the debt ceiling debate so he inserted himself into it by raking his own party over the coals thus ensuring maximum tv time. Nice.

Coming from someone who lost to an empty suit? Coming from someone who campaigned FOR Angle? Coming from someone who had Sarah Palin campaign for him against the REAL Tea Party candidate in the primary?

Thank you for your military service Senator, I respect you and honor you for what you went through. But that doesn’t give you the right to be a hypocritical bastard in later life, losing your soul in the process. Lose it on your own time, privately.

No one would offer him our gratitude for being a POW (Shot down or crashed more than most have on arcade games) if they knew how he treats our military now;
