Noted global warming expert RFK, Jr. predicted that Washington, DC might never see snow again

by editor on February 8, 2010

Record levels of global warming piled up in Washington, DC this weekend

The pathetically unprophetic Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wrote a column last year in which he bemoaned global warming and suggested that children of the future might never see snow again.

As this weekend’s mammoth blizzard proves, RFK, Jr. is a highly-qualified global warming expert and fully prepared to serve on the IPCC (in case you didn’t recognize it, that’s what’s known in journalistic circles as sarcasm).

The Washington Examiner reports the chilling details:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who flies around on private planes so as to tell larger numbers of people how they must live their lives in order to save the planet, wrote a column last year on the lack of winter weather in Washington, D.C.

In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today’s anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

In those days, I recall my uncle, President Kennedy, standing erect as he rode a toboggan in his top coat, never faltering until he slid into the boxwood at the bottom of the hill. Once, my father, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, brought a delegation of visiting Eskimos home from the Justice Department for lunch at our house. They spent the afternoon building a great igloo in the deep snow in our backyard. My brothers and sisters played in the structure for several weeks before it began to melt. On weekend afternoons, we commonly joined hundreds of Georgetown residents for ice skating on Washington’s C&O Canal, which these days rarely freezes enough to safely skate.

Meanwhile, Exxon Mobil and its carbon cronies continue to pour money into think tanks whose purpose is to deceive the American public into believing that global warming is a fantasy.

Throw another log on the fire, RFK, Jr., or all this global warming fantasy will freeze your ass off.

I. Kid. You. Not. Today I got a big envelope from this cretin (or his organization) asking me as a fellow environmentalist to protect the Polar Bears because even though Sarah Palin is no longer Governor of Alaska her policies are still putting Polar Bears in danger. I am not kidding. Now I don’t know how these people got my name and address. The only thing I can think of is that I gave money over a year ago to Jane Gooddall (sp?) to help a program for kids and ever since then whack green peace and other whack liberal socialist environmental organizations have been tracking me down for money. I am so sick of it. Do not give Jane your money. I shredded that mailing today it is amazing how lame these people are.

I love polar bears & I am not worried about their impending doom. Polar bear populations have been increasing very well since the 1950’s. There were aboout 5,000 back in the 50’s, today, there are about 25,000 polar bears. They are not going away anytime soon.

All of the Kennedy brothers were great leaders and civil servants even though I seldom agreed with them. But boy did they have disfunctional, spoiled and yes stupid kids.

Somehow the image of an erect JFK standing on a tobaggan on a down hill course (scotch involved perhaps?) and Bobby bringing the eskimo delegation to his house to do yard work makes me forget for an hour the Kennedy’s are just a bunch of rich, out of touch elitists

Perhaps it was all a heroin-induced dream.

He is a much better name-dropper than he is a weatherman! Couldn’t he have just said his father and uncle….like people don’t know who they were.

Seriously…when are people just going to start confronting this piece of c@&p family? And tell them that we do not care what they think or say.

If you really wanted to hear him at his looney best, you should hear him on his radio show, “Ring of Fire”. It was on AirAmerica, I don’t know if it is still on the air, or just on the internet, or what, but RFK & his co-host Mike Papantonio are stereotypical hardline environmental loons, who are hellbent on destroying the American economy in the name of Cap N’ Trade, & “green jobs” that don’t exist, & will never exist.

This has nothing to do with the subject matter…..

John Murtha is dead-Marines everywhere are safer today, than they were yesterday-and the people of PA are safer….and lastly the people of America aren’t going to have to fork over millions and millions to finish the investigation into his illegal campaign contribution scam with the DoD contractors he took bribes from -now it will be a shorter investigation as they can just lock up the contractor’s management and be done with it!
Ding dong the witch is dead(another Dumbocrat witch that is).
these old dirtbags on the left keep taking dirtnaps and the congress will be half way cleaned out by November! Yahoo!
Sorry I went off topic-couldn’t help myself!
