First Texas bus drops off migrants blocks from US Capitol in Washington, DC

A group of migrants were bused from Texas to Washington, D.C., where they were dropped off blocks from the U.S. Capitol, Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

First Texas bus drops off migrants blocks from US Capitol in Washington, DC. Ai yi yi! Why aren’t Nancy and Joe there to greet them? Don’t mess with Texas.

A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state.

D.C. CIRCUIT COURT DENIES WASHINGTON D.C.’S REQUEST TO RECONSIDER WIN IN NRA / CRPA SUPPORTED RIGHT TO CARRY CASE

D.C. CIRCUIT COURT DENIES WASHINGTON D.C.’S REQUEST TO RECONSIDER WIN IN NRA / CRPA SUPPORTED RIGHT TO CARRY CASE. Unlike the 9th Circuit Court of Schlemiels who frequently render retarded rulings about just about everything and especially gun laws, the D.C. Circuit Court has now ruled twice that the dipsticks in Washington, DC can’t hide behind their ‘good reason’ bullshit for issuing concealed carry permits. Hopefully this will affect this crap in California and other states who use this tactic to suppress 2nd Amendment civil rights.

Noted global warming expert RFK, Jr. predicted that Washington, DC might never see snow again

Record levels of global warming piled up in Washington, DC this weekend

The pathetically unprophetic Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wrote a column last year in which he bemoaned global warming and suggested that children of the future might never see snow again.

As this weekend’s mammoth blizzard proves, RFK, Jr. is a highly-qualified global warming expert and fully prepared to serve on the IPCC (in case you didn’t recognize it, that’s what’s known in journalistic circles as sarcasm).

The Washington Examiner reports the chilling details:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who flies around on private planes so as to tell larger numbers of people how they must live their lives in order to save the planet, wrote a column last year on the lack of winter weather in Washington, D.C.

In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today’s anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

In those days, I recall my uncle, President Kennedy, standing erect as he rode a toboggan in his top coat, never faltering until he slid into the boxwood at the bottom of the hill. Once, my father, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, brought a delegation of visiting Eskimos home from the Justice Department for lunch at our house. They spent the afternoon building a great igloo in the deep snow in our backyard. My brothers and sisters played in the structure for several weeks before it began to melt. On weekend afternoons, we commonly joined hundreds of Georgetown residents for ice skating on Washington’s C&O Canal, which these days rarely freezes enough to safely skate.

Meanwhile, Exxon Mobil and its carbon cronies continue to pour money into think tanks whose purpose is to deceive the American public into believing that global warming is a fantasy.

Throw another log on the fire, RFK, Jr., or all this global warming fantasy will freeze your ass off.

How many were really at the D.C. protest rally?

So how many showed up, you ask? It depends on whom you believe. To get an objective perspective, it helps to go overseas. According to the UK’s Daily Mail — complete with eye-opening photos — the crowd numbered “as many as one million people.”

912 rally washington dc

An awful lot of people showed up at the National Mall Tea Party on September 12 to protest government spending in general and ObamaCare in particular.

So how many showed up, you ask? It depends on whom you believe.

MSNBC reported, “thousands have turned out, some have said tens of thousands.” The Washington Post estimated “tens of thousands.” ABC figured between 60–70,000 protestors. The New York Times initially described it as a “sea” of people before stating, “The demonstrators numbered well into the tens of thousands, though the police declined to estimate the size of the crowd.” According to Examiner.com, there were “as many as two million protestors.” CBS, CNN and FOX all reported on the Tea Party but declined to provide estimates.

To get an objective perspective, it helps to go overseas. According to the UK’s Daily Mail — complete with eye-opening photos — the crowd numbered “as many as one million people.”

On the same day as the D.C. Tea Party, the president appeared in Minnesota to continue pushing his idea of health care “reform”. How many came to see Dr. O? According to the NY Times, 15,000 “cheering Obama supporters” showed up. On the day before the protest, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs claimed he had no idea the D.C. rally was even planned.

On Sunday, White House senior adviser David Axelrod said of the protests, “I don’t think it’s indicative of the nation’s mood. You know, I don’t think we ought to be distracted by that. My message to them is, they’re wrong.”

Out of touch much?

Maxine Waters named one of the most beautiful people in Washington, DC. Seriously. For real. Stop laughing.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters one of the fifty most beautiful people in Washington, DC? Somebody must have spiked the water cooler at The Hill.

Another sign of the Apocolypse: Maxine Waters named one of Washington, DC's most beautiful people

Somebody must have spiked the water cooler at The Hill. How else can you explain the fact that they named California Congresswoman Maxine Waters one of the fifty most beautiful people in Washington, DC?

Stop laughing. This is serious. Here, we’ll quote them:

Rep. Maxine Waters

A high-heeled woman

Age: 70

Hometown: Los Angeles

Political party: Democratic

Relationship status: Married

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has more than just a home state in common with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) The Southern Californian equals her northern counterpart in the ability to endure 12-hour congressional workdays in four-inch stiletto heels. One aspect of Waters’s signature look — along with her stylish glasses — is her impressively high footwear.

Her leg strength must come from years as a runner. But because of an injury, Waters has recently switched to swimming as her exercise of choice. Most of her cardio, though, surely comes from her first love in personal activities: antique shopping.

Waters collects antique perfume bottles, scales and radios. She also has an extensive collection of ethnic dolls from all over the world, and she loves shopping for old furniture and art.

“I love old things,” she says with a laugh.

She loves them so much that she’s running out of space to keep her collections.
“That’s a problem,” Waters says, explaining that her Washington condo and Los Angeles home are at capacity. She plans to start giving components of her collections as “special gift ts to special people,” including her two grandchildren.

Not surprisingly, the veteran lawmaker’s post-Congress plans include more shopping and collecting.

“I have this idea that, when I retire, I’ll travel, I’ll collect and I’ll sell,” she says. “I’ll have a little store.”

One key to Waters’s perpetually fresh look may be that she uses her time wisely. She says she has trained herself to relax and rest (and also read) on her coast-to-coast flights from her district to Washington. But there is one other trick Waters uses to always look her best.

“I bathe in moisturizer,” she says.

We apologize if this is considered harsh, but there ain’t enough moisturizer east of the Mississippi to make Maxine Waters beautiful.

Since President Obama has officially ushered in the Era of Apologies, we think The Hill owes one to its readers. A really big one.

The truth ain’t pretty.

Economy in the sh*tter,
Obama gets advice from Twitter

Here’s the oddest news item of the day.

Evan Williams, CEO of Twitter, is winging his way to Washington, DC today. President Obama has asked him to sit on a panel of “young business leaders” charged with coming up with ideas to solve the economic crisis.

Even Williams understands how silly this is. As he put it in a Twitter message, “Going to the White House tomorrow for a meeting about the economy (which must mean they’re *really* out of ideas). What should I tell them?”

Don’t get us wrong. We love Twitter. We tweet all the time. It’s a great way to keep in touch with friends and like-thinkers. But a lot of people don’t and its economic model is…well…a mystery.

For example, Jon Stewart offered his take on Twitter during a recent “Old Man Stewart Shakes His Fist at …” segment. “I have no idea,” Steward said, “how it works or why it is.”

That being said, we fear Obama is asking Williams for advice because Twitter is built on the same economic model that led to Obama’s “stimulus” plan:

Both have millions of people dependent on them, both are growing at astronomical rates, and neither care how much money they lose.

Liberal talk radio dies in DC today

Ahh...a breath of fresh air in D.C.
Ahh...it just smells better in D.C.

The air seems a little cleaner in the nation’s capitol today. Lib talk radio is dead in the District of Columbia.

WWRC-AM had marketed itself as “Obama 1260,” proving that the FCC doesn’t consider stupidity to be sufficient grounds for revocation of a broadcast license. The station has now flipped to a business talk/news format.

Losing affiliates is nothing new for Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, Bill Press, Ron Reagan, Rachel Maddow and Lionel. But the loss of the Washington, DC market is a particularly harsh blow for liberal talk radio, because the format is rapidly running out off major markets in which it can be dumped.

Miller, often referred to as the rising star of libtalk, has lost market after market and now retains affiliates in just 11 of the top 50 markets. Like many lib talk stations, WWRC ranked dead last in the Washington, DC ratings, 30th out of 30 stations.

As of today, Miller, Schultz, Press, Reagan, Maddow and Lionel are on the street, where they will presumably organize protests and carry picket signs calling for the re-introduction of the Fairness Doctrine.
