Obama on gas prices: “…they don’t need an additional incentive when gas is $3.75 a gallon, when oil is $1.20 a barrel…” The $1.20/barrel number comes from the official WH transcript of his speech – he could have meant $120. Even so, nobody can figure out what the hell point he’s trying to make about the cost of a input barrel of oil and an output gallon of gas. Likely the oil industry is, like soooo much else, just another thing he has no freaking clue whatsoever about. (Relevant text about 11:45 in.) Official WH transcript here.
