10 More Golf Tips Obama Can Take From Tiger

golf-digest-tiger-obama In a case of remarkably bad timing, the cover story on this month’s Golf Digest is “10 Tips Obama Can Take From Tiger.”

Turns out, though, that Tiger actually had 20 tips for the President, but space constraints forced Golf Digest to print just ten of them.

Luckily, the Woodward & Bernstein-like investigative reporters at IHateTheMedia.com have uncovered the tips that didn’t make the cut:

10. If you’ve played the wrong hole, just take the penalty and move on.

9. Never let a stranger touch your putter.

8. Never switch holes in the middle of a round.

7. If it’s out-of-bounds, even if it looks like you could hit it, it’s out-of-bounds.

6. Remember that playing the wrong hole is loss of hole in match play.

5. A stiff shaft and a big head are no guarantee your balls will go straight.

4. In fact, the bigger the head, the greater the odds your balls will go astray.

3. The grass is always greener over there on that other course you’ve always wanted to play.

2. Trading your old bag for a new bag can really mess up your game.

We swear this is our final Obama bowing to Emperor Akihito story

Based on this photo, this administration believes the only thing more powerful than the president of the United States making points to your face is the president of the United States making those same points to your chest.

obama-bow-akihito “The president sees it as a chance to present our points and advance our interests, and you’re not conceding anything,” said an unidentified administration official. “What’s more powerful than the president of the United States making these points to your face?”

Believe it or not, we admire Angelina Jolie for her mind

Until now we wouldn’t have put her mind on a list of things we admire about Angelina Jolie. But an article in US magazine has convinced us to have a change of heart.

Grrrrrrrrr: We admire Angelina Jolie for her mind

Until now we wouldn’t have put her mind on a list of things we admire about Angelina Jolie. But an article in US magazine has convinced us to have a change of heart:

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.

“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.

But don’t expect to see the Salt actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.

“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.

And that’s where we part ways with the lovely Angelina. Barack Obama is not all smoke and mirrors.

There’s also a liberal helping of bullshit.

Chrysler repays American taxpayers by hiring Italian ad agency

The geniuses in the Obama administration spent billions of your tax dollars to keep Chrysler out of bankruptcy. And Chrysler has repaid your “generosity” by hiring an Italian advertising agency.

The geniuses in the Obama administration spent billions of your tax dollars to keep Chrysler out of bankruptcy. And Chrysler has repaid your “generosity” by hiring an Italian advertising agency.

As if that weren’t bad enough, they fired BBDO Detroit, their long-time American ad agency, which will now be forced to lay off hundreds of employees come January.

Well, you say, surely Armando Testa has been ordered to create some hard hitting commercials designed to drive people into Chrysler dealerships. Right?

Wrong.

Advertising Age describes the situation:

“The 30-second commercial for the sleek Chrysler 300 sedan breaks today on national TV and is very similar to a Lancia commercial from a year ago calling for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma’s pro-democracy leader and 1991 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, who has been in and out of house arrest since 1989. Although the car is shown, it is not the focus of the commercial. A version of this latest video was initially created as part of the Lancia brand’s sponsorship of the 10th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Berlin last month. Lancia also sponsored the event a year ago, when the first Lancia spot broke.

“We produced the TV film in honor of all those who put their lives at stake in the hopes of making the world a better place,” Mr. Francois said in a prepared statement. “For Chrysler, this is a chance to use our brand image to join with others in the fight for peace and to knock down the walls that divide us. We at Chrysler believe in doing the right thing and making a difference.”

The way we interpret Francois’ comments, he’s saying that increasing sales isn’t a priority.

Any question why these morons went bankruput?

When Obama says, “You can take that to the bank,” remember who owns all the banks

This speech may truly have been unprecedented. Because it may be the first time one speech was able to piss off liberals who don’t want to fight the war and conservatives who actually want to win the war.

Way back on October 27, 2007 Candidate Obama told his supporters, “I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank.”

This week, December 1, 2009, he promised to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan. Of course, it’ll take nine months to get them there and he also promised to begin bringing them home as soon as they all arrive.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will undoubtedly tell us that President Obama’s actions are unprecedented, because that’s this administration’s favorite word.

But this speech may truly have been unprecedented. Because it may be the first time one speech was able to piss off liberals who don’t want to fight the war and conservatives who actually want to win the war.

And you can take that to the bank.

President Obama starring in remake of “the color purple”

The frightening thing is watching how quickly so many counties turned purple over the course of the last two years.

President Obama said there are no red states and there are no blue states, just purple states.

We don’t know if that’s why AmericanObserver.net used the color purple to represent the highest unemployment rate on this animated map, but it wouldn’t have been a bad idea.

Ouch! Last week Chris Matthews compared Obama to Jimmy Carter, this week to Neville Chamberlain.

Let’s see, which is worse? Being compared to one of the worst American presidents of the 20th century or being compared to one of the worst British prime ministers of the 20th century?

Let’s see, which is worse? Being compared to one of the worst American presidents of the 20th century or being compared to one of the worst British prime ministers of the 20th century?

We have to think about this one for a minute or two.

OK. That’s long enough. We’ve decided it’s worse to be compared to Jimmy Carter than to Neville Chamberlain because at least the British accent sounds sophisticated, but Jimmy Carter sounds like…well…like Jimmy Carter.

Here’s another example of the left turning on Barack Obama. Chris Matthews is upset. And we like that.

Chris Matthews: Will this long deliberation, Anne Kornblut, you’ve got the tough question here to start with. Whip around here. It took three months to make this decision. Will he look smart and deliberate for having taken all this time, or will the dithering shot still being cast in by people like former Vice President Dick Cheney, is that still going to hurt?
Anne Kornblut: The gamble they’re making is that he’ll look smart and he’ll look like the anti-Bush for having thought about it for so long.
Joe Klein: The anti-Bush part is really important because Bush really needed to do a strategy re-evaluation about Iraq six months in there and he never did.
Chris Matthews: Andrea, will it look good if he takes all this time?
Andrea Kramer: I agree. I think it will look good if he takes his time, if taking his time he comes out with something that adds up. If he doesn’t then people will say you took so long and what did you deliver?
David Ignatius: The long period of analysis, very deliberative, robs this of passion. This is, he is going to be a wartime president now, and he has to sell the country on the idea that our young men and women are going to go there, fight and get killed and I think this is not…
Chris Matthews: So, too much Chamberlain and not enough Churchill.
David Ignatius: Well, too much, too much college professor.

Now we just need to put Barack Obama in one of those fancy top hats that Neville Chamberlain used to wear and the image is complete.

PhotoShop, anyone?

Vanity Fair thinks maybe Obama should be added to Mount Rushmore

The good folks at Vanity Fair decided that Barack Obama should included in a survey that asked which president should be added to Mount Rushmore.

Sure, the guy’s only been president for 10 months. And sure, his approval rating is going down faster than Adam Lambert at an award show. And sure, the 2010 elections look like a disaster for his party. And sure, he’s made us look like chumps on the international stage. And sure…well…you get the idea.

Nevertheless, the good folks at Vanity Fair decided that Barack Obama should included in a survey that asked which president should be added to Mount Rushmore.

Kennedy won the vote with 29%. Reagan was second with 20%. FDR was third with 18%. But the guy described in the first paragraph of this came in fourth with 16%.

C’mon, people, at this point the Obama chia pet seems more reasonable than Mount Rushmore.

Obama’s Auntie Zeituni is deeply disappointed in her nephew. Just like most legal Americans.

This is a sad story. A very sad story, indeed. It looks like President Obama has abandoned his beloved Auntie Zeituni in her hour of greatest need.

Auntie Zeituni lives in Boston. Maybe John Kerry can find a spare room in his mansion for her.
Auntie Zeituni lives in Boston. Maybe John Kerry can find a spare room in his mansion for her.

This is a sad story. A very sad story, indeed. It looks like President Obama has abandoned his beloved Auntie Zeituni in her hour of greatest need.

The Associated Press tells the tragic tale:

President Barack Obama’s aunt buried her face in her hands and sobbed as she described her anguish over no longer having contact with him and his family after the revelation she had been living illegally for years in the United States in public housing.

Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUH’-nee awn-YAHN’-goh) told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview that she is troubled that her immigration woes have made her a political liability to her nephew.

Onyango, the half sister of Obama’s late father, said she has exiled herself from the family after attending Obama’s inauguration because she didn’t want to become fodder for his foes. Obama and his family have not reached out to her either, she said.

“Before, we were family. But right now, there is a lot of politics, and me, I am not interested in any politics at all,” said Onyango, whose appeal for asylum from her native Kenya is before an immigration judge in Boston.

The Obamas are her only family in the United States, she said.

“It is very sad when such a thing happens. There are people, outsiders, you know, they come in between, they divide a family,” she said last week. “It’s not easy.”

In related news, Obama has also abandoned every one of his campaign promises.

71% of American voters are angry at the federal government. Are you?

Let’s give credit where credit is due. Candidate Obama said he would unify the American people and President Obama has delivered on that promise. Just not in the way he expected.

We never thought we’d see the day when 71% of Ameridan voters agreed on anything, but that’s the percentage of voters who agree they’re pissed at the federal government.

Here’s how Rasmussen reported the results of a new survey:

Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government’s policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry.

Men are angrier than women, and voters over 40 are more angry than those who are younger. A majority of those over 40 are Very Angry. Only 25% of under-30 voters share that view.

The data suggests that the level of anger is growing. The 71% who are angry at federal government policies today is up five percentage points since September.

Even more stunning, the 46% who are Very Angry is up 10 percentage points from September.

Seventy one percent? Holy crap, man, you can’t get 71% of the people to agree that the sun rises in the east.

Good work, President Obama.

We realize this is a very difficult decision. So as a public service, IHateTheMedia.com offers this information to help you make your choice:

The one-of-a-kind Obama bust sits atop a hand-carved platform made by artisans of Kogelo, Kenya, the home village of President Obama’s alcoholic, abusive father. You can choose between two poses – Candidate Obama, so full of hope and change, or President Obama, beaming proudly in his full socialist glory. Please be aware that all proceeds go to a Kenyan charity. Total cost: $899.00.

The Chia Pet Obama bust is made of clay (much like the actual Obama’s feet). It comes with a convenient drip tray, handmade planter, enough seeds for three plantings, plus planting and care instructions. And if Barack Obama isn’t your cup of tea, you can also choose from other presidents who are actually known to love their country (George Washington and Abe Lincoln) or the Statue of Liberty. Total cost $19.95 plus shipping.

This is an easy choice for us. Give us the chia pet Obama. Because The Greatest President in History deserves to be seen in his full, green glory.

We can’t think of anything we’d rather see under our tree this Christmas this year.

Hondurans provide preview of 2010 American elections: Leftist thug out, conservative in

Muy bien, compadres! Honduran voters lined up to vote for the conservative candidate.
Muy bien, compadres! Honduran voters lined up to vote for the conservative candidate.

Honduras held its long awaited presidential vote on Sunday. It’s estimated that an amazing 70% of eligible voters may have turned out.

Despite the fact that Barack Obama and the region’s leftist dictators supported legally ousted former President Manuel Zelaya, the conservative candidate handily won the election.

Here’s how the Wall Street Journal reports the story:

Neither of the two men claiming to be president during the past five months – Mr. Zelaya and interim President Roberto Micheletti – were on the ballot.

Instead, Hondurans picked between Mr. Lobo of the conservative National Party and Elvin Santos of the Liberal Party – to which both Mr. Zelaya and Mr. Micheletti belong.

Voters were expected to punish the Liberal Party for the crisis and hand power to Mr. Lobo, who was narrowly beat by Mr. Zelaya four years ago.

“It’s going to be Pepe this time,” said Higenio Garcia Ponce, 74, an agricultural laborer who said he had just voted for Mr. Lobo. “There was a rupture in the Liberal Party over what happened with Zelaya.”

We love the words “Voters were expected to punish the liberal party” and predict that they will be repeated here in 2010. And if we’re all lucky, again in 2012.

Obama cabinet has less “real world” experience than any administration in history

Team Obama comes from an insulated world of professorial tenure and union job security. They’ve never hired anyone. They’ve never fired anyone. They’ve never had to deal with profits and losses. They’ve never had to lose a minute’s sleep worrying about paying the rent or making payroll.

obama-team-private-sector

No wonder the economy is such a mess. President Obama has put together a team of Ivy League eggheads with no experience in the real world.

Here’s how the American Enterprise Institute explains it:

A friend sends along the following chart from a J.P. Morgan research report. It examines the prior private sector experience of the cabinet officials since 1900 that one might expect a president to turn to in seeking advice about helping the economy. It includes secretaries of State, Commerce, Treasury, Agriculture, Interior, Labor, Transportation, Energy, and Housing & Urban Development, and excludes Postmaster General, Navy, War, Health, Education & Welfare, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security—432 cabinet members in all.

When one considers that public sector employment has ranged since the 1950s at between 15 percent and 19 percent of the population, the makeup of the current cabinet—over 90 percent of its prior experience was in the public sector—is remarkable.

And here’s how Jimi Hendrix explains it:

It’s frightening. Truly frightening. Team Obama comes from an insulated world of professorial tenure and union job security. They’ve never hired anyone. They’ve never fired anyone. They’ve never had to deal with profits and losses. They’ve never had to lose a minute’s sleep worrying about paying the rent or making payroll.

And it shows.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Obama plays golf.

On one hand, it pisses us off that the President spends so much time on the golf course while the nation is faced with so many problems. On the other hand, the more golf he plays, the less time he has to come up with socialist solutions to those problems.

Barack Obama just played his 25th round of golf since he was sworn in as president.

Next time he plays 18, maybe he could take his cabinet out there to discuss the economy. Or the Joint Chiefs of Staff to figure out the war in Afghanistan. Or even Jeremiah Wright to discuss that God Damn America.

On one hand, it pisses us off that the President spends so much time on the golf course while the nation is faced with so many problems. On the other hand, the more golf he plays, the less time he has to come up with socialist solutions to those problems.

Tee it up, Mr. President.

New York Times columnist writes devastating, but accurate account of Obama presidency

It was a bad weekend in the media for Barack Obama. A very bad weekend, indeed.

Within a 12-hour period, Saturday Night Live did a scathing skit about his profligate spending. Chris Matthews compared him to Jimmy Carter. And to complete the trifecta, Maureen Dowd, New York Times columnist and queen of Inside-the-Beltway Liberals, penned this devastating review of the Obama presidency:

If we could see a Reduced Shakespeare summary of Obama’s presidency so far, it would read:

Dither, dither, speech. Foreign trip, bow, reassure. Seminar, summit. Shoot a jump shot with the guys, throw out the first pitch in mom jeans. Compromise, concede, close the deal. Dither, dither, water down, news conference.

Oh, one more thing while we’re at it: Gallup confirmed that Obama’s approval rating has now dropped below 50%.

How quickly things change. Just a couple weeks ago, the liberal media was fretting that Obama was losing the independents. Now the liberal media is fretting that he’s losing the liberals.

Yeah, it was a stretch, but we’re already in holiday mode and that’s the best you’re going to get out of us today.

So let’s let Rasmussen give you the details:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15. This is the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for President Obama.

Fifty-two percent (52%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 68% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, just 16% Strongly Approve and 51% Strongly Disapprove.

Minus 15. Ahhh, this is going to be a glorious Thanksgiving. Glorious, indeed.

Can we ask a question? What kind of weak-minded moron has ever had his opinion swayed on any subject by the persuasive powers of a seven year old?

Is the tingle gone? Chris Matthews calls Obama “Carteresque”

For the last two years Chris Matthews has acted as if Barack Obama is the second coming of Christ. Now even Matthews seems to recognize that he’s the second coming of Jimmy Carter.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, the guy who once got a tingle up the leg at the mere thought of Barack Obama now suggests the President may be “Carteresque.” And there’s no way to interpret that as a compliment.

Here’s a transcript of Matthews conversation with David Ignatius and Anne Kornblut of the Washington Post:

Matthews: Welcome back. The word these days is optics, visuals, signals. In the Carter presidency, the optics were not exactly robust, and Ronald Reagan rode that to a big victory in 1980. Is the Obama White House sending some Carteresque signals these days? Some see that in the deep bow to the Emperor of Japan, an unforced error say critics. Then there was, there was what happened in China: Obama got nothing in the way of concessions over there in spite of playing the polite visitor. And his effort to speak directly to the Chinese was jammed by the government. Third, that decision to try the terrorists up in that federal court in New York City. Again, nothing that had to be done, and critics say it shows that Obama, his team doesn’t understand this is a war we’re in. David, that’s the question. These optics are everything in a president. Carter used to carry that garment bag over his shoulder. This president is he making mistakes like in China like in Japan?

Ignatius: I think he is coming across as stiff. He is talking too much sometimes and communicating too little. So the opposite of what we saw during the campaign. Although the decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York apparently was Eric Holder’s, it strikes me that it really is a mistake. I mean, there are too many bad things that could happen. There is no reason to have to have done this. And, you know, it’s a political feel for decision-making. That wonderful thing you just did about President Johnson’s feel for the moment. That’s what I think is missing now with this group in the White House. I don’t know where it’s gone. They certainly had it during the campaign. Maybe they’ll get it back. But it’s missing now.

Matthews: It’s the political touch. You were in China. You just got back. Tell me about that. The president tried to speak to the Chinese people and apparently it was jammed. Tell me about that.

Kornblut: This was the big moment of the whole trip to Asia in fact, eight days in Asia he was going to speak to Chinese students in Shanghai unfiltered at least in his answers, and in fact the Chinese government, you know, they allowed the event to take place, but it was only shown locally on Shanghai television. People didn’t see it. The one piece of news he made in it saying that the internet should be free and people should have access dribbled out to the Chinese public and then started being deleted from all the Chinese websites. So, then, the following day he held a quote unquote press conference with the Chinese President Hu Jintao in which there were no questions and they read statements. Now, this is of course, this is the Chinese, it’s their home turf. They were allowed to do what they wanted to. That was the White House’s argument. And the White House haggled with them to get it more open.

Matthews: The White House got jammed here. Did they know this was coming, that it wouldn’t get to the people?

Kornblut: Sure. They knew, previous presidents had been allowed to reach the Chinese public. They knew that it might or might not. It did. But they didn’t have to stand there at a press conference, call it a press conference, and not answer questions. And I think they’re expect, they may have raised expectations a little for how much they were going to be able to do.

For the last two years Chris Matthews has acted as if Barack Obama is the second coming of Christ. Now even Matthews seems to recognize that he’s the second coming of Jimmy Carter.

We’re conflicted. We don’t know whether to laugh or laugh really hard.

Ego-bama is reading the latest GQ. You know, the one with him on the cover

GQ decided to feature Barack Obama. Not just as Man of the Year, mind you, but as Leader of the Year. That, of course, makes it even funnier that President Ego-bama was caught carrying the magazine.

You have to be a bit of an egomaniac to be a politician. In fact, it may be an absolute requirement.

And they filled the cover of the magazine with his huge, smiling mug.

“Mr. Obama used the forum at Shanghai’s Museum of Science and Technology to make a plea for a free flow of information, saying it makes societies stronger and holds political leaders accountable. People in positions of power may bristle at criticism, he said, but open criticism ‘makes our democracy stronger, and it makes me a better leader because it forces me to hear opinions that I don’t want to hear.'”
