Do you feel safer knowing… the Secretary of Homeland Security is too stupid to use email? For people wondering how she gets information, she answers, “People around me get email and all kinds of media and I certainly get passed what is important for me to see.” How would she know? The phrase “all kinds of media” probably refers to computers so she evidently doesn’t use one of those either… and since cellphones are pretty much pocket-sized computers nowadays, what does that leave her? Smoke signals and carrier pigeons?

Managing an inbox in large organizations takes time.. or you just let stuff rot like I do and hope you catch the important stuff. Obviously she knows what scrolling is. Other media? SMS, twitter, Facebook, news wire, Intel.. could be anything.. by itself, a thin case for stupidity.. also, SMTP & POP3 are insecure over any network of significance with countless clients & nodes being incorporated in routing and reception of messages. Managing additional protocol to secure messages adds mgmt time which only trades one concern for another, and goes beyond email. I might decide otherwise, myself, given her position.. but I don’t fault her for the choice, especially as our IT endures constant penetration attempts by state sponsored attack, who have the resources to employ brute force over encrypted material passed over networks. A bit paranoid, perhaps, but given her domain, not entirely stupid

None of what you say makes a lick of sense. If emails at a national security department are not secure, it doesn’t matter one tiny bit whether Janet herself is using email. Her itinerary and all the info she is trying to hide are flying around in emails anyway. She pretty much admits that.

And how is physical delivery anymore secure than email delivery? Imagine having to deliver an airport security report from California to D.C. in person, because your idiot leader doesn’t use email. You carry it home, you keep it in your house overnight, you take it to the airport, you fly to D.C. with it… etc. Ridiculous.

As somebody who used to work for the federal government, let me tell you that an agency head who doesn’t use email is an isoloated and inefficient leader. People either line up outside her door waiting for an opening to deliver what she needs, wasting their own time, or they simply ignore her and hope she forgets about them. My communication with my agency head was strictly by email even though his office was fifteen feet away. Waiting for an opening to deliver something in person would have been a collosal waste of my time.

The way to solve the the glut of emails is to have an assistant cull them before you see them, not refuse to use email.

This is what happens when you expand the limits of affirmative action…somewhere you’re going to hit the wall.

This is where Forest Gump walks in and say, “Stupid is as stupid does.” Unbelievable.

Is it wrong to want these people out of leadership positions just because they look bad. Scary, very scary.

They were duped by all the slick packaging and all the media hype. When the honeymoon was over, they woke up and found out that they’d literally been lied to, raped, and betrayed. But, as usual, the slime stream media was there to make it ALL better…effing lying hucksters!

Why read E-mails? It makes it easier for the people to track you stomping all over the constitution and slowly taking away their rights.

She is not going to receive any Emails because they make a paper trail and can put her in prison someday. Her refusal to use Emali is a sure sign she is committing crimes almost every day.

That explains why she missed all the border crossing of the Mexican cartels, the Al Qudia issues that others have foiled. Being in the dark isn’t a good way tone in charge, unless you have a fall person to blame all the shit on.

The funny thing about your comment is that there was one particular email between Holder and Napolitano that proved to congressional investigators that the two of them knew about Fast and Furious long before they say they did. So how did she send or use an email if she now claims she doesn’t use email?

When that chick asked Governor Palin in essence if she reads (by asking her what she read) everyone got on her for not being very detailed about her literature choices and news choices. I guess being a liberal you don’t really have to be detailed about anything and you are still very smartie.
