How much of that trillion dollar stimulus package is going toward Michelle’s wardrobe?

by editor on February 16, 2009

YouTube Preview ImageDuring the presidential campaign the media said Michelle Obama was just an average gal who found her neat, but inexpensive wardrobe by picking through the racks at Target like any other working mom.

But after the election was over, the truth came out. Michelle dumped Target in less time than it took Barack to dump tax-dodgin’ Tom Daschle.

The latest issue of Vogue features the new first lady on the cover and in a photo spread modeling a black dress by Narciso Rodriguez and a magenta dress by Jason Woo (who also designed her inaugural ball gown). All the outfits would have been taboo before November 5.

“I’m not going to pretend that I don’t care about it,” the First Lady said. “But I also have to be very practical. In the end, someone will always not like what you wear — people just have different tastes.”

Now we understand why Juan Williams caught so much flak for calling her “Stokely Carmichael in a dress.” He should have said, “Stokely Carmichael in a Jason Woo.”

that’s exactly the point–the irony (for which I’m crediting IHTM) is the incredible hysteria raised by the Obama types during the campaign about Palin’s clothes budget.

Can anyone explain why there is no outcry over what I’m sure are similar if not greater clothes expenditure by Michele ( I love affirmative action admissions) Obama?!

Gives new meaning to leftist hypocrisy
