Well it was kind of her to do sign-language while giving the speech. I wish I knew sign-language because I watched this video 3 times and I have no idea what point she was trying to make. I think what she was trying to say is ‘clearly our progressive-democrat policies have result in hard times for the American people and because of that they may not be fully able to enjoy their specific holiday festivities.’

Well, I just spent 5 minutes trying to unroll my eyeballs from the back of my head. Kwanzaa. What an almost perfect symbol for demotards.

It’s a made-up holiday related to nothing, to symbolize something (which no one knows exactly what), that is only allowed to be used by a privileged class, who have no clue, but clutch onto it because it’s a black thing and they are black. Thus it’s for them. Year after year it has been “refined” so that some hyper-racists have assigned certain meanings to it which get published in black-only magazines, on black-only TV and websites – to pretend that it is a “tradition” of some sort. And the lemmings just run right behind them, hyperventilating about it.

A holiday is supposed to have some real meaning. I have been watching this “holiday” form over the years, and it’s based on nothing and most of the people who “celebrate” it have no idea what it is. Nor do they care. They embrace it because it’s a “black” thing. That’s good enough.

The only thing that keeps it from being the “perfect” symbol for liberals is that no one is getting individually rich from it. Yet.

That was interesting! Of note: the article says he WAS a member of a group called “Us” (as in opposite of them). The *official site* I linked below made several reference to Us, including this year’s theme: Kwanzaa, Us and the world…” and in a few other locations throughout the site. Always capitalized. I though it was typos (since there are many through the site), but apparently not. This “holiday” seems to be a front for a militant group. LOL. Good job Pelosi.

Sorry, they weren’t very clear. When they say kwanzaa means “something like” “fresh fruits of the harvest”, are they talking about the stuff you find in the supermarket, or are they referring to “fresh fruits of the bull”?

These guys that have been in America for generations wearing Swahili costumes remind me of the guys that celebrate the German culture by wearing traditional German clothing. I refuse to do that on account of the fact that I would look like a dumbass in lederhosen — clearly they do not fear that. They probably should. In the first place, how many of them can actually claim Swahili heritage — their ancestors may have been the Swahili’s mortal enemies?

Did you know that it is very offensive to real Africans who are in the US? Seriously, I used to work with a bunch of (very well-educated) Nigerians, and they thought that American blacks posing as Africans was offensive. Apparently there is a lot more to wearing traditional garb than we know – like that certain color patterns mean certain things, and certain styles are for certain “classes”. These people just tossing on whatever are as offensive as an American wearing a kilt with no desire to even KNOW what the fabric pattern means.

Not saying that American’s wearing kilts is offensive – because most Americans who would have the balls to do that know exactly what they are doing. It is genuine family history and tradition. The American blacks who wear the garb haven’t got a clue. Like so much in their lives, it is fake and phoney.

Oh, and just FYI – my Nigerian buddies HATE HATE HATE the term “African American”. They won’t use it even though it truly applies to them (or at least their children.)

That was my thought. And don’t charge everything so you HAVE a big bill at Christmas. Remember when banks used to have Christmas Clubs? They were short term saving accounts to save money throughout the year for Christmas. Around Christmas, the money was withdrawn for gifts and in January they started over. No one in Africa knows what the heck Kwanzaa is. I spoke to many Ethiopians and Nigerians and South Africans and Egyptians and Moroccans not one of them knew what the heck Kwanzaa is. They know Christmas, they know Ramadan… Kwanzaa? :-/

What’s interesting about that is that Christmas is not exclusive. The purpose of it was to unite under a benign force. As the world become more secular, Christmas as actually being able to keep up! Anyone can actually celebrate or choose to not participate while having a holiday/day off work. Christmas is the only (that I know of) holiday that has a religious root/origin where it has a very distinctive and separate SECULAR side (Christmas tree has nothing in all reality to do with Christ, even though Santa Claus has his roots on a real person (Saint), he is OBVIOUSLY a secular depiction of the holiday, etc.) yet still link as tenously as one wants to the religious part of the holiday. So Christmas is for everyone. Those that do not want to participate don’t have to yet still enjoy the benefits of it.

The tree thing came from Germany as I remember, though there might be some tie in with the Druids and the Early Celts. The hymn The Holly and the Ivy refers to a “good” plant vs a “bad” plant in ancient beliefs.

Yes the tree as we know it originated in Germany. It was Queen Victoria that made it popular after her husband brought it over to England. Alongside the tree also Christmas cards with family portraits and gifts under the tree. However with all of that said, in the end the tree and the decorations in of itself don’t have anything to with Christ. It is a very secular object in order to celebrate the winter season. Which is fine!!! I got no problem with that, in case the TDowners feel I was raggin on the tree. I wasn’t I was just posting that Christmas is not something that should make ANYONE feel unwelcomed to participate in. There is something for everyone.

Yeah I am not into that… That is why I applaud saints like St. Patrick doing all they can to change the cultures because a lot of these people involved were innocents and children and I am sure would have rather not participate in the disgusting and polluting behaviors of others.
