Ratings for MSNBC’s EdShow look more like DeadShow

April 10, 2009, 8:57 am · 17 comments

MSNBC may have made a boneheaded move when it put Ed Schultz on the air, but at least they were smart enough to bury him on the fringe of primetime.

The ratings on his premier show were, shall we say, disappointing. That makes the ratings on night two disastrous. And the ratings on night three were..hello…hello…is anyone out there?

By night three, the Fox show in the same time slot has 4.5 times as many viewers as Schultz. And the CNN shown had twice as many.

Fox and CNN both love the EdShow. Finally, something they can both agree on.

Network     Monday     Tuesday     Wednesday
Fox     2,125,000     1,919,000     2,202,000
CNN     1,147,000     1,010,000     807,000
EdShow/MSNBC     725,000     602,000     406,000

It’s not a boneheaded move. It is just who they are as a network. No denying it now…Oh wait, you can’t question a “journalist” and his impartiality….

The idea of an “openly” liberal network is just laughable considering we already have to put up with CNN, CBS, NBC, etc. It just shows how out of touch the people at MSNBC really are…they’ve become just another lefty network in a market already clogged with liberal networks.

Ed is like a guy who lost a bet and
has to speak in cliches for a week.
One talking point after another.
His delivery actually makes it more
painful to take, for he whines and
bellows at the same time,no mean
feat.
Off by the end of the yr.

I think your remarkable spelling skills say everything that needs to be said about Ed viewers. By this time next year, you may be his last remaining viewer.

Have Larry explain how Beck crushes in the ratings from an hour earlier. He beats the entire primetime BSNBC lineup from the far less favorable 5pm EST, then again, Red Eye almost does that as well, from 3anEST, & if you disagree, you are probably a racist.

I used to watch MSNBC every day. After a while, I figured it out, and when the Ed show came on, I went to another station to avoid throwing up. Why is this radically opinionated asshole on tv?

I was in the Vietnam era 1965. What the hell does the ignorant Ed know to be able to comment and ridicule any one else. He was 11 when I was drafted . What an arrogant asshole you have there. Msnbc I watched the last ten years, No more , basically because you broadcast from that ignorant asshole.
