Pot, meet kettle: MSNBC’s Al Sharpton calls the Tea Party “a monster” that “will destroy you”

by editor on August 3, 2011

In a case of the pot calling the kettle black, the Reverend Al Sharpton has called the Tea Party “a monster” that “will destroy you.” Oddly enough, we are of the opinion that Sharpton is a monster that will destroy MSNBC.

The guy makes Chris Matthews look terse, makes Rachel Maddow look conservative, makes Ed Schultz look rational, and makes Lawrence O’Donnell look like a brilliant interviewer.

Need proof? (You probably don’t, but we’re going to provide it anyway.) Here’s the Reverend doing what now passes as an interview with Lee Fang from Think Progress.

A few weeks ago Alfred said, “we need to get in with the Protesters, and use
them to move on OUR agenda and Idea’s, if we don’t, we will be left out like
with the TEA Party”. He went on to say “They organized, and put 88 people in
the House, and they aren’t done yet”. He hates us, envies us, and would love to be with us, but how would that look now? He told Karen Hunter, “the TEA PARTY,
came together, did what they had to do and now they are finished”. I beg to differ, we took a break, and sat back and have been watching things, big and small things. After the first of the year, we will regroup, stretch and flex our toned and powerfull bodies and continue to move up our agenda to cover our second and third parts of our master plan, taking the Senate and the OVAL office
back to where it belongs, to the patriots and champions of the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. But Alfred Sharpton has a problem with our simple THREE step
message, LESS TAXES, SMALLER GOVERNMENT and more PERSONAL RESPON-
sability. I have been an officer with the TEA PARTY from day one, and I have never ever been more prouder of who we are and what we stand for then any
other time in my life. The TEA PARTY is NOT, nor have they EVER been a racist
people. The TEA PARTY is not white, black, red or blue. It’s ALL PEOPLE, there
were a few DEMOCRAT MOLE’s, who made Racist sign’s and marched in our peaceful gatherings, and when they were found, they were asked to step out and
move on. And yes, there IS a place for ALFRED SHARPTON, KAREN HUNTER,
and Mr. Hutchenson, when they deceide they want the same things as we do. It
could only get easier from here on out. We must trust and work and live together, because a divided house will not stand.

al sharpton uses his race to be a racist. he could not say the things he does if he was white!!!!!!!!

OK, I need to get this off my chest.
Everyone knows he’s a race baiting charlatan, but Bill O’Reilly still seems to like him and will give him a platform on FOX whenever he feels like it.
Is it just me, or is Billy-boy losing his grip?

I don’t watch TV news much, so I have to ask. Does BOR set Reverend Al up with questions to show how stupid he is,or ask him tough questions, or does he softball the interview?

Softball, he even went to dinner with him at Sharpton’s favorite Harlem eatery.

BOR is first and foremost a showman. This moron makes for great TV. Reminds me of the new oped gal — she was upset because she got so much hate mail, right up until she got a raise — her boss figured that meant people were reading her, and buying the paper as a consequence.

I would not be surprised that some of our popular conservative TV/radio personalities are libs underneath — like that moron that runs media matters was.

If ALFRAUD Sharpton was white he would be called a nazi.

If he was white he would be called “unemployed.”

Oops. “Unemployable.”

Hell, I’ll call him a Nazi anyway. I don’t care what color his skin is.

RHG, I was going to say that you just ruined Oblivious’ day, because she can’t pigeonhole you as a racist now, but then I realized, it never stopped her before.

It seems to have upset either Olivia or one of her supporters, though. So at least that’s a good thing.

Jim Bakker and the other televangelist con men that crashed and burned (I’m not implying all televangelists are frauds but it is clear some were) are no match for the likes of Sharpton and Jackson, whose acts go on and on. As media uber-fraud Daniel Schorr once said, “Sincerity – if you can fake it, you got it made.”

It’s ironic that the people who complain about the bias of “FAUX News” sit on their liberal butts and watch the the likes of Sharpton, Schultz, Maddow and “tingles” Matthews. Sharpton is the worst of a bad lot; he’s an incoherent malaprop, a race baiter babbling incoherent lies—in other words he’s perfect for MSNBC. In a just society Sharpton would be in jail or on parole.

Actually, I don’t know a single liberal who takes Al Sharpton seriously.

But you wouldn’t know that, since you rely on antiliberal propaganda to tell you what we think and how we feel. 😉

How many people do you know? I doubt it is a large enough sample to prove your point. I’m certain that despite MSNBC being populated by admitted socialists, Comcast would like to see a profit from its news division. In that light, Sharpton was hired because management decided he would attract an audience and therefore drive ad revenue. He certainly was not hired to lose money.

By the way your last sentence had nothing to do with your first. How exactly would we know what kind of liberals you know based on anti-liberal propaganda?

Short of pulling out some heat himself and using it, I can’t think of anyone who hates more than Al Sharpton.

One of the more use’less’ful tools in the Devil’s box of tools is this nut-job and he seems to get trotted out every once in a while just to make sure he still works–he looks like he needs to be oiled.

The only reason charlatan is bitching, is do to the fact that he and jack ass can’t figure out away to shake down the TEA party for any “action” He should take a good long look in the mirror, then look out in and around his “hood” and see how many people he has actually helped to rise above their situation besides himself.

All those years hanging with James and being on the road has taken it toll on the Rev Charlatan.

Sharpton (and Jesse) is a black fool. No wonder the bruddas are screwed up in dey heads listening to this idiot.

A little constructive critisism if I may.
You’ve lost the argument as soon as you mentioned black. You went downhill from there. He can race bait all he wants, you can’t or you’ll be labeled a racist. Those are the rules whether you find them fair or not. Bottom line; don’t lower yourself to his level because it reflects badly on the rest of us. The hacks that monitor sites like this will pull your comment and use it against the Tea party, right wing, caucasians or anyone else who is against current direction our country is headed. Don’t take the bait, instead focus on the inconsistencies of his rhetoric. 🙂

That was my first thought, too, PsychoDad. Anyone who reads the comments here consistently knows that you won’t see comments like that from the regulars. I’m thinking we have a troll.

I find this a classic example of the Tea party actually working and being successful. Anything that makes ole “Race baitin” Sharpton angry has to be a very good thing!

That’s the problem with you teabaggers in a nutshell (pun intended): you think it’s all and only about provoking an emotional reaction.

I’ll venture to predict that, within 10 years, there will be as few people admitting to having supported the Tea Party, as there are Republicans today who admit to having supported Bush’s spending sprees. 😉

Olivia,

I predict that within one year, no one (including Obama) will admit to having supported Obama’s destructive spending sprees. Hell, within five years no one (including Joe Biden) will admit to having voted for Obama.
