James Cameron: Writer, producer, director, global warming alarmist and, of course, hypocrite

by editor on October 25, 2010

James Cameron, director of Titanic and Avatar, said, “I wanted to make an environmentally conscious mainstream movie … It will be a dying world if we don’t make some fundamental changes about how we view ourselves and how we view wealth … We’re going to have to live with less.”

Of course, when he says “We’re going to have to live with less,” what he really means is “You’re going to have to live with less while I live with more.”

We don’t begrudge anyone living the lifestyle their income allows them to live. What we begrudge is their hypocrisy.

Typical. If the global warming thing was really that serious, I don’t think we would continue to fly professional and college level sports teams all over hell’s high acre for games. And none of these people want to give up THEIR cars, planes, helicopters, etc while telling me I shouldn’t use air conditioning in Texas when it is 105 degrees, with a heat idex of 112? Screw ’em.

We all should learn to live and do those thing we need with less, less BS from the elitists and other who wish to subjugate the majority. We’ve always wondered how a government or small collection of armed people can impose the will of some quite relatively small group of ‘leaders’ over the masses. Frankly, the simplest answer is by the people allowing themselves to be disarmed. We don’t have tanks, artillery and much heavy duty weaponry because the government has slowly been imposing those controls. Decades, generations go by and slowly the indoctrinated see the reduction of armed citizens will help protect the general populace. BULLSHIT. If one picture tells a story about this, I think the shot of Russian president Boris Yeltsin standing on the tank in the town square, where they had been shelling a government building. Russians don’t get to possess firearms of any significant offensive value. Yet the military is still made up of their own people, and that can give pause to them when ordered to kill fellow countrymen, especially unarmed people.

The National Guard is stationed around the country in sectors away from there hometowns so that when the directive is given to impose martial law, they will have a reduced likelihood to confront someone they know, which could cause hesitation on their part to kill this person. But I still think our military personnel will remain reluctant to fire on fellow American citizens. Kinda like the tank commander with Yeltsin standing on his ride. If the UN blue tops are seen wandering thru our streets, that’s gonna be the most ominous indicator.

We must remain diligent on many fronts in many facets to retain what freedoms remain. We must never allow a disarmed populace, for that would surely end the Freedom of the People of the United States of America, and that, boys and girls, will be the beginning of biggest, most terrifying time of tribulation humans will ever witness.

I’m sorry if that wandered a bit out of the scope of the topic.

Always remember this…SOCIALISM IS FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE SOCIALIST.

I’m sick of say it, but it’s true. These people never live by the rules they want to impose on us.

Nothing stinks of hypocrisy like rich Hollywood liberals with their titanic carbon footprints and presumption that their success somehow entitles them to preach to us . Shut-up, enjoy your weath and leave us alone. Don’t tell us we have to do with less until you do with less. Hey Cameron! Sell your mansions and and move to Compton, then maybe I’ll repsect you.

Leo DiCaprio is another one I cannot stand. Overall this is the issue I don’t care if they want to live large… they can afford it, but don’t tell ME to live with less when you get to live with more. That is not right.

Yeah, my favorite movies are the ones where his character has horrible things happen to him. I think he’s a slimy twit.

I concur regarding Leo, but my towers bristle with activity when I hear that falkwad Matt Damons name. I get a little anxious thinking how I’d react to the news of his demise. Would I get a 12 pack of some fine Bavarian lager or would it make more sense to throw a giant bash celebrating the removal of one (unfortunately just one but still) of the most moronic lefties who is so far off that he dangles of the lefty chart. I’d really like to see a gallery full of the god damned putzes waiting their turn to take the walk into the garden, one at a time followed by the clack of the slide of the 45 1911A1. The silencer would be the one courtesy afforded to them all.

I thought the 45 1911A1 *was* the silencer.

While it serve as a tool to silence adversaries, it does it with a significantly less than silent report. But any of the many sound suppressors that can be fitted to an extended and threaded barrel reduces the otherwise attention getting boom to a near whisper. If your round is underpowered enough to not actuate the slide recoil, then the discharge was quite quiet indeed. If you chose to employ a hotter round that would cycle the next round into the chamber, the metallic clack of the slide is noticeable and if the round was well over supersonic the report will not be suppressed as well. But you target would likely be suppressed.

But you are correct, in general. Properly applied the venerable 45 ACP serves to silence its intended target.

An aside; Not staying as well informed about gun laws in EU as I used to, I recall that suppressors were considered courteous attachments, not controlled by the governments as a destructive device. If these sort of regulations were in place here in the US, my tinnitus would probably not be so severe as it is now. Range work you wear ear protection. Hunting and other activities prevent the wearing of ear protection since plugged ears don’t hear the sneaky bastard creeping up on your blind side. Now and again you can get those unbelievable pressures punching you directly in the tympanic membrane. That’s a capital Ouch. Then ten, twenty and thirty years later that ringing in your ears get louder and never ceases. Never.

I alway swore by the sionics suppressor. A sweet little swishy sound.

John Travolta, strong advocate for cutting greenhouse gases, owns a fleet of planes.

Al Gore flies all over the world on private jets.

I know of one celeb who practices what they preach. Daryl Hannah to her credit does seem to produce her own power, etc.

The rest are hypocrites that think that these rules are only for the common people yet preach about slowing global warming.

Their support of the cause is as mythical as the cause itself.

“Ed Begley Jr has been going green and off the grid for about 30 years now, waaaaay before it was on anyone’s radar. I do respect him for walking the talk.

The other useless POS PC brainless wonders called Hollywood stars I could not care less about.

You forgot “useless, cowardly prat”. He bravely ran away when challenged to put his money where his mouth should be, and given the opportunity to state his case against someone who didn’t believe in man-made climate bollox, or whatever it’s called now. Crap films, crap director, and all round eco-wimp. They should have boiled him in their pot and eaten him when he visited wherever it was in the jungle that he ventured. A single spear up his jacksy would have done the job, and not before time.

Can you tell that I don’t like the man?
