At a recent event at the White House, everybody’s second favorite former Beatle took the opportunity to unload on America’s most recent former President.
According to Sir Paul McCartney, “After the last eight years, it’s great to have a president who knows what a library is.”
Given this bit of political proselytizing, we humbly suggest that this once brilliant songwriter (and current has been) might very well benefit from spending some time in a library himself. Specifically the sections that Melvil Dewey set aside as the 320’s.
Anyone even vaguely familiar with the social sciences would know that McCartney hasn’t had a president for the last eight, or any years. McCartney has been a subject of a queen for all of his life. Including back in 1967 when he recorded quite a great little song by the name of “Fixing a Hole.”
That song wasn’t on the play-list at the White House the other night. Too bad, because President Obama could have gained much from such clear instruction on what he should be doing with that oil spill down in the gulf.
We always liked Ringo better, anyway.
