President Obama’s month-long erection may be coming down soon

The Indonesian statue of "Little Barry" Obama is coming down even faster than "Big Barack" Obama's approval numbers

Indonesian authorities, who just one month ago erected a bronze statue of President Obama as a boy, are now considering a petition to tear it down.

The statue of “Little Barry” stands in Jakarta’s Menteng Park.

AFP reports the dismantling details:

Critics say the site should have been used to honour an Indonesian and 55,000 people have joined a page on social networking website Facebook calling for the statue to be removed.

“We’ve been discussing for the past two weeks what to do with the statue… whether to take it down, move it elsewhere or retain it. We’re finding the best solution,” Jakarta parks agency official Dwi Bintarto said.

The story continues:

“The statue is of Obama as a child, not as the US president. His relatives and friends who erected it said it’s meant to motivate children to study hard and dream big,” Bintarto said.

Members of the “Take Down the Barack Obama Statue in Menteng Park” group on Facebook say Obama has done nothing for Indonesia.

“Barack Obama has yet to make a significant contribution to the Indonesian nation. We could say Obama only ate and s (expletive) in Menteng. He spent his subsequent days living as an American,” the web page says.

“For the dignity of a sovereign nation, Barack Obama’s monument in Menteng Park must be removed immediately.”

The Indonesians need to relax. Based on Obama’s experience as President, the statue will undoubtedly do something to bring itself down after about a year.

Little Barry, indeed. And getting littler every day.

Was moved a few days ago and to the same school he attended while he was there. It seems it was paid for by private funds, but the move was govt (read: taxpayer) money.

Well, you surprised me this time. I thought you were going to follow up on “Barack Obama has yet to make a significant contribution to the Indonesian nation.” Maybe something like “we feel your pain” or “same here” or even “spread it around a little.”

Maybe you didn’t say anything about it because it is becoming obvious to the world that this president is really doing nothing.

Oh, wait… I have one more. How about “Barack Obama has yet to make a significant contribution because he is too busy spending mine.” Isn’t that what those things on my paystub are called? “Contributions”?

LOL You got me I was thinking dirty thoughts…

Okay uhm yeah so good? I mean when I heard of this statue going up I was like why? Just like the Nobel Peace Prize thing. What has he done? I felt that perhaps Obama was conflicted his arrogance and egotism probably loved the statue of his little him going up SOMEWHERE, but then the statue in Indonesia may remind US people that he may not be 100% US citizen (although it seems that he is) and in the he is not like us mentality more people will be hating.

In any case yes put that thing down and shame on the idiot(s) that had it commissioned, made it and put it up in the first place.

I wish it was that easy to get rid of him here in the USA.

Absolutely amazing. Aside from becoming a Manchurian candidate, what are obama’s accomplishments?

People have to remember that liberals measure everything by intentions, not by results. But even more telling everything has to be “fair.” That’s the only time they talk about results. Everyone has to share equally in the rewards, even if many didn’t contribute.
