Sure, it may show an Israeli soldier killing a sweet, smiling young Palestinian girl at point blank range, but what the heck. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says the controversial drama Ayrilik (“Separation”) will continue to air.
Davutoglu said the government really has nothing to do with the issue. No, no, no. It’s all up to the state run Turkish Radio and Television Corp, which airs the show.
“This is a matter to be evaluated entirely as part of their broadcast policies,” he said. “Turkey does not have censorship.”
Of course, this comes from a report from the state run Anotolia news agency in a story about the state run television network. But the state run Turkish government bears absolutely no state run responsibility.
