Angry activist, actress Janeane Garofalo announces that you’re a racist

April 17, 2009, 7:28 am · 21 comments

Janeane Garofalo and Keith Olbermann are complete opposites. She’s angry and nuts, but he’s nuts and angry. Watching their alternate reality is like being dropped into some parallel universe where everything is twisted about 180 degrees.

Here are a few choice comments from Garofalo on Olbermann’s Thursday show. Amazingly, she knows things about you and the Tea Parties and Fox News that no one else has ever known. Or ever will know.

“Racism straightup. Nothing but a bunch of teabagging racists.” Blah-blah-blah. “These guys hate that a black guy is in the White House.” Blah-blah-blah. “Fox News loves to foment this anti-intellectualism because that’s their bread and butter.” Blah-blah-blah. “The Republican hyphen conservative movement has crystalized into the white power movement.”

Olbermann actually treats this lunatic like she’s a rational human being. Of course, that would be the pot calling the kettle black.

Hey, that wasn’t a racist comment. No matter what Garofalo says.

Update: Please read our subsequent Memo to the lovely and gracious Janeane Garofalo:

These people are not well. The tea party protestors PAY for this country. And the tax code as it now stands can trip anyone up, providing lots of fodder for persecution. Even our treasury sec. and the head of the commitee that writes tax legislation (rangel) blew their own taxes (or dodged, depending on what you believe).

Statists are complete hypocrites. They want to stifle any dissenting voice, even if the voice is peaceful.

Obamatized Garafalo is wildly lashing out against those who love our country, who don’t bow to foreigners or fall for her idol who has failed to prove he is a natural born citizen, proving herself incapable of believing reality and charging those realists who do as “racists.” How sad and degenerate and truly racist, attempting to hide behind Soetoro/Obama’s color.

Since they were both at one time comedians (isn’t that what launched Oberdork’s sports/comedy career), why would anyone take them seriously – Oh that’s right, lefties don’t vet for achievement, accuracy and understanding of issues, just popular appeal!

“Racism straightup. Nothing but a bunch of teabagging racists.” Blah-blah-blah. “These guys hate that a black guy is in the White House.”

It’s funny that the celebreties, news media and governemnt official that always seem to bring up the subject of racism in this country are not even black or hispanic… What does Janeane Garafalo know about racism. She is white as a ghost!!!! THe only thing black that she has is her hair & that is FAKE!!!!!. She has never been discrimanted and has no idea what it feel to be discrimanted. But she has the audacity to talk about racism. And the rest of us are stupid that we even bother to hear what she has to say.
If this is not about taxes, then we the people should make a lsit of people who are willing to pay more taxes like Janeane Garafalo and have them pay for therest of us!!!!!!!!

let them rage–the people are watching and I don’t think middle america likes what it sees from the obamanation. Changing the USA to a soviet state is not the change they had in mind. Just keep in mind 2010 is just around the corner.

Is this a joke?! Whey would anyone ever give this completly twisted woman the time of day or air time for that matter. I am embarrased for msnbc. And guess what, I am an American with brown skin and I proudly supported the tea parties. This has nothing to do with race. Typical of the left to make it so. They must have nothing else in their arsenal bag. I think they must be scared and desperate.

There is a large part of Hollywood that used to strive to “entertain” the masses. Yet nowadays we have them trying to “SHAPE” society with their point of view. Now I don’t mind allowing opinions as that is a right to all, however let’s remember that most of Hollywood are so out of touch with the working man’s world, which accounts for 90% of the Nation’s population, that they are bound to get it wrong! In this case Ms. Gerafalo has gotten it VERY wrong!! I’m a tax-payer housewife. I am white and middle-aged. I was so angry when I found that my President urged the Stimulus to pass knowing that NOBODY read it! Nobody COULD read it in the time allotted. THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO TO STOP IT!! I did not get to vote to stop this stimulus bill. SO I go to protest my opinion and the next thing I know I’m indirectly being called a racist with a brain problem?! It’s hard for me to think of people has haters but think it’s safe to say that we normal average Americans are being hated more and more each day by extremist who don’t want other people to have an opinion that disagrees with their own line of thinking. People who went to college being taught history REVISED by professors who have a hidden agenda result in the kind of thinking Ms. Gerafalo portrays. To me that is much more dangerous than me, Rosie the Rivoter, fighting for her rights. Some of my closest dearest friends are of different color and they too are concerned about their children’s future!!

Brian, can’t you come up with anything more creative than name calling? The protests have nothing to do with racism. Or hate. Or fear. Have you looked at federal spending lately? Many of us have criticized this for years. What Garofalo is: 100 percent wrong. And so are you.

Politicians & media did their best to discredit the Tea Parties by describing them, first, as a partisan Republican movement, and, second, as a revolt of greedy rich people who don’t want to pay more income tax…

But as I saw – and anyone who went to a Tea Party with an open mind would have seen as well – the Tea Parties did not consist of any ONE party. These Bi-partisan protestors were as disgusted with big spending under President Bush as they are opposed to big spending under the present administration. This was a powerful movement of Americans who are fed up with the irresponsible politicians from BOTH parties. In some places, politicians were barred from speaking and forced to listen to US for once in a very long time!

Alarmed at the Growing Burden of Government on ALL Americans Tea Party participants were not simply angry about higher federal income taxes. They were alarmed at the burden of this growing government on ALL Americans, & the nation we are leaving to our children. Taxing future generations to pay for THESE POLITICIANS’ irresponsible spending is the epitome of “taxation without representation” which was precisely in line with the spirit of the Boston Tea Party in 1773!!! The fact that the majority of Americans are not being represented accurately should alarm ALL of us! WHY DOESN’T IT?

What the elite media missed is that state and local taxes are going up for EVERYONE. For petesake watch CSPAN! Add that to higher gasoline taxes, corporate taxes, death taxes, Social Security and Medicare taxes, and the very real threat of an energy tax. No wonder anyone with a brain wanted their voices to be heard!

The Obama budget being negotiated in a House-Senate Conference Committee this week projects an astounding $9 trillion increase in federal DEBT over the next eight years!! Since no one expects the politicians in control of Washington to CUT spending, this level of debt guarantees higher taxes for the middle class AND higher inflation for EVERYONE! HELLO! Higher taxes & higher inflation means less income, less savings, and almost no economic opportunities for EVERY person in America!!! Yes even those of you who opposed me protesting against this castistrophic future of yours! DUH!

The majority of the media DIDN’T want you to understand this! The Americans at the Tea Parties last week did! Thanks a lot for your lack of support and understanding! You just shot yourselves in the foot! WAKE UP!

I was raised to believe that racism is when you bring race into a discussion, or make it an issue at all. She made race an issue, therefore, she is the racist one.

I do find it mildly amusing, however, when celebrities make idiots of themselves with political deductions.
(And, btw, I’m white, and was born in Georgia, does that make me a “t-Bagging Racist?” If so, I’ve got to go apologize to my black friends… and irish friends…)
