It’s all absolutely true!
Well there’s just a couple of teensy-weensy little caveats, but nothing of any real consequence.
1. Peace is the goal. The way to achieve it is everyone converts not just to islam, but your particular brand of isalm. Otherwise the solution is the same as for every other case of encountering someone different than you – kill them. And once they’re dead, another little piece of peace has been achieved. Allah akhbar! Oh yeah – and if she’s a virgin, rape her first before killing her. so she won’t be accepted by the loving allah in paradise.
2. Good will. Yes, see above.
3. Ethical? Absolutely! As long as your ethics include dhimmitude, and the pursuit of peace and good will (see #1).

You must account for some differences.. Christianity spread quietly and peacefully and underground for CENTURIES (despite persecution, even). It took a violent Empire and future Kings to bloody the Cross (consider Charlemagne and the massacre and forced conversion of poor pagan Saxons)
By word and doctrine, Islam relies far more on the Sword and the death of infidels. Within a mere 8 decades of Muhammad’s death, Arab hordes were crashing on Christian Byzantium’s walls. Zoroastrians of Persia are already lain waste, at this point. A vast empire within a single century, forged by conquest.
War is built right into the fabric of Islam. Nothing comparable exists in the actual dogma of Christianity, unless you consider Jehovah’s marshaling of Hebrews to slaughter Canaanites for better real estate–violent but temporary. Your moral equivalency fails on so many levels. First thing it was the Catholic leadership that did that, the followers did not do that. The terrorism instigated by Islam is done primarily by the followers of the religion. Catholic killing of heretics (and it wasn’t millions) was done out of desire of power and it was mostly regional not global. Islam’s goals are global domination and it will indeed be millions upon millions of people who will die if hey succeed. Sometimes as DeanH states it was in response to actual threats from other religions. This was a particular and considerably short period of time. Islam Fundamentalism domination lasted centuries and then all the hate that leads us until this date is actually over 2,000 years old.

The period of time you think you are talking about took place almost four hundred years later and, just so you know, actual records can only account for about 3700 officially sanctioned executions for heresy, bad enough on it’s own but here’s the kicker, the Spanish Inquisition which so many ignorant fools, such as yourself love to point out, was not sanctioned by the Catholic church but rather the Spanish Crown and a few nefarious wealthy land owners. There were at least four officially sanctioned Inquisitions over an almost five hundred year period and in that time only 3700 executions. The Church kept very accurate records. On the other hand, during the Protestant Reformation the Protestants roasted a few non-believers in their own three Inquisitions. Would you like to hazard a guess as to how many people were ‘murdered’ by such luminaries as Luther and Calvin? Luther can account for more than 27.000 during one of the three ‘events’ and Calvin can account for 32,000 during one of the two remaining and 45,000 during the other. King Henry the VIII accounted for some 35.000 of so for his part in the start up of the Church of England…get your Catholic bashing facts straight…there were no millions of anything, ever! You’re pulling facts from individuals who because of their own agenda have purposely falsified information and have even been quoted saying so. Oh and BTW the Catholic Church has never been a terrorist group, unless maybe if you were a heretic.
