Greatest Orator In History needs Teleprompter to speak to sixth graders

Embarrassing? Pathetic? Sad? Choose your own word to describe this story.

President Obama recently visited sixth grade students at Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia to talk about his “Race to the Top” program.

The Greatest Orator In History couldn’t talk to them without his trusty Teleprompter at his side.

The White House has since released raw video that supposedly proves the President didn’t use his Teleprompter. Unfortunately, the raw video ends just as the President finished shaking hands with all the students and before he made any remarks, so it neither proves nor disproves anything.

UPDATE: The video embedded in this story proves now pretty conclusively that the ol’ Teleprompter was used. No question that President Obama is going back and forth from one Teleprompter screen to the other as he speaks to the tykes.

Two words: Empty suit.

as much as I’d like it that he was speaking to children there, he was speaking to the media:
“President Barack Obama points to the media, as he enters to speak, after a discussion with 6th grade students at Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Va., Tuesday, Jan. 19, 201″

those poor kids had to sit and listen to the ramblings of a mad man. they are all scarred for life.
Had that been my kid’s school-they would not have been in school that day. I would rather have them sit through a speech by Charley Manson, or Richard Speck than Barack Obongo.

If he’s giving tingling up the legs of children, maybe there is something we can get him on now. Isn’t that illegal?

At least he can read, which is more than can be said of a lot of public school sixth graders

So your “conclusive” proof that he used a teleprompter is a 22 second clip where he looks back and forth? Because looking back and forth COULD ONLY BE ABOUT A TELEPROMPTER and not also about looking around at his AUDIENCE like every public speaker, or every good one, does.

To top that off, your complaint, your reason for calling it pathetic or sad or what have you, you criticism isn’t about content or policy or anything of any consequence; rather your entire complaint is that he used a teleprompter? Like every president for the last several decades hasn’t relied on a teleprompter? Like he doesn’t have oh, I don’t know, say the well being of an ENTIRE NATION and the policies and decisions of a world leading government on his mind? You are so right. How dare he not take the time to memorize every damn speech he gives! How dare he use that time to be president and instead rely on the safety net of a teleprompter to help keep his speech streamlined and pointed!

You are an imbecile.

Rob,
Bush didnt use a teleprompter when he spoke to elementary children.Do your research on that one please! Now, who is the imbecile????? As for keeping his speech streamlined and pointed….my gosh why must he be soooo professional with a bunch of kids…come on!
This only proves the total disconnect with Realism of the American people that Obama has……all the way down to our children.
All I can say is Obama has lost HIS safety net with America.

p.s. if you really hated the media maybe you should try to not sound exactly like them. making asinine, useless and over-opinionated negative comments whenever you have the opportunity just because it gives words to fill all the hot air escaping from your chest. maybe try being a concerned, aware and NOT ignorant citizen instead of just trying to be one more idiotic voice in a mass of morons. Pundits are ruining the media, and you’re the sludge that carries them along.

Proof in the pudding… check out the photos. I recall a photo of George W sitting in a chair with the kids and talking. That is talking “with” and not talking “at” the kids.

umm, Rob, I personally saw W speak for an hour to 600 people with nothing but one sheet of paper in front of him. He was eloquent, knowlegeable and personable. no teleprompter.

As to our critique of Obama, we HATE his policies which do not support the “well being of the entire nation” . The teleprompter is just a symbol of this man’s utter lack of experience, ignorance of how government works, cluelessness about what it takes to run a business, and his bumbling approach international politics. He is a relentless shill for far left wing facist government take over of people’s lives. And, as a matter of fact, he does use the teleprompter far more than any other president — he can’t even talk to 6th graders with out cue cards, give me a break!

FWIW, the teleprompter vid was for the press in a room allegedly free of school staff and children. His appearance before the kids was apparently teleprompter free.

Not that I don’t think it’s absolutely ridiculous a POTUS can’t give a damn five minute blabber session before a handful of press flunkies inside of an elementary school classroom without the omnipresent TOTUS but really, let’s get back to stuff that honestly freakin’ matters….
