Crash JP Morgan – Buy Silver

On Max Keiser’s On the Edge show last month he and financial writer Michael Krieger posited that if just 5% of the world’s population each bought a one-ounce coin of silver, JP Morgan would be forced to cover their estimated $1.5 billion short silver position, and they would go bankrupt.

Does it anger you that the investment banks have gotten away with fraud these last few years, only to be bailed out with your tax dollars? Do you see the fraud of the federal reserve, and how it depletes your wealth with increasingly worthless paper?

Wouldn’t you like to strike back at the system? Now’s your chance.

Max Keiser, is a film-maker, broadcaster and former broker and options trader. On his On the Edge show last month he and financial writer Michael Krieger posited that if just 5% of the world’s population each bought a one-ounce coin of silver, JP Morgan would be forced to cover their estimated $1.5 billion short silver position. If this were a big enough covering, the company would go bankrupt. With some help from the popular Alex Jones, they started a campaign to encourage people to buy silver, and it’s gone viral.

Silver Price Chart
3-month SLV (ETF) chart - click to enlarge

Is it working? We can’t say. However, silver has been on a tear recently, faring far better than gold. Take a look at the three month chart (click to enlarge) of the ETF SLV, which moves with the price of silver. We can’t say if the Crash JP Morgan — Buy Silver campaign had much to do with it or not. But a little digging has shown that many sellers of silver coins have been running out of stock.

So, if you want to have some fun, go out and buy a one-ounce silver coin — it’s only about 30 bucks. And if this crazy scheme works, you can say you were a part of history.

Now, what can we do to crash those fraudsters at Goldman Sachs?

Breaking News: Bear doesn’t shit in woods, Pope isn’t Catholic and CBS believes Hillary is telling the truth

With just a year or so before the presidential campaign of 2012 really starts heating up, Hillary Rodham Clinton has assured the world that she has no intention of seeking the White House. Of course, we all know what a Hillary Clinton assurance is worth.

There she goes again. With just a year or so before the presidential campaign of 2012 really starts heating up, Hillary Rodham Clinton has assured the world that she has no intention of seeking the White House. Of course, we all know what a Hillary Clinton assurance is worth.

It's just more happy talk from Hillary Clinton

True to the old saying “Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice then we must be the CBS News Department,” that venerable agency has the following report:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has once more reiterated that she will not run for president in 2012, going so far as to refer to her current role in government as “my last public position.”

In case you’ve forgotten, this is the very same Hillary Clinton who expected you to believe:

She never suspected Bill of messing around with Monica and knew that those accusations were simply the creations of “a vast right wing conspiracy.”

She brought peace to Northern Ireland.

On the morning of September 11, 2001 Chelsea was jogging around the WTC.

She braved sniper fire on a trip to Bosnia.

She was named after Edmund Hillary when she was born in 1947, although he was an obscure New Zealand beekeeper until he scaled Mount Everest 1953.

She had no intention of running for President (in the 2008 election).

And, of course, she’s always been a Yankees fan.

Liberal merry-go-round: People need unemployment benefits so they can pay their property taxes

Ohio Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown says people need their unemployment benefits so they’ll have enough money to pay their property taxes. In other words, “Let’s just take this money out of one pocket and put it in the other.”

Consider this video a demonstration of Democrat economic genius on full display.

Ohio Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown says people need their unemployment benefits so they’ll have enough money to pay their property taxes. In other words, “Let’s just take this money out of one pocket and put it in the other.”

Let us save you some pain. The quote comes at the 6:00 mark of the video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8tJu9hwYB8

“The other reason to maintain unemployment benefits is all economics. Senator McCain, when he was candidate for President, his chief economic advisor said the best way to grow the economy – the best stimulus dollar you can spend – is unemployment insurance. Because when you put a dollar in a laid-off worker’s pocket from Lima, Ohio or Zanesville, Ohio she will spend it at the local grocery store, the local shoe store, pay her property tax, pay her gas bill, whatever. That money is recycled in the economy.”

Do not make the mistake of thinking Senator Brown simply misspoke. He has given variations of this speech numerous times on the floor of the Senate and always uses the “pay her property tax” line.

Sherrod Brown is, of course, a successful graduate of the Obama School of Economics, where they teach that it’s a rational use of taxpayer money to buy General Motors, order them to make electric cars, give money to General Electric so they can buy the electric cars from General Motors, and then announce that the whole shebang is a huge success.

Round and round the little ball goes and where it stops nobody knows. Well, actually, we do know where it stops – third world status for the United States.

Car designed to stop global warming has an overheating problem

The car touted as the cure for global warming has a defective coolant pump. You cannot make this stuff up. And even if you could, why bother? Just wait a day or two and another one of these wacky stories is sure to pop up.

Nothing’s going right for the global warming scammers these days. Sadly, we must report that Toyota’s Prius has an overheating problem.

Irony of all ironies: The Toyota Prius has an overheating problem

ABC Australia has the seemingly contradictory details:

Japan’s Toyota Motor has offered to fix around 650,000 Prius models worldwide to repair a defective engine coolant pump, in a move it said was not a recall …

The world’s largest automaker said it would “voluntarily” replace a pump controlling the temperature of the hybrid engine system, which may cause overheating if it does not work properly.

Got that? The car touted as the cure for global warming has a defective coolant pump.

You cannot make this stuff up. And even if you could, why bother? Just wait a day or two and another one of these wacky stories is sure to pop up.

“This is why the American people have thrown you out of power, you power-hungry, brain-addled bitch”

Steven Buyer wanted to be recognized to speak about a piece of legislation the Democrats were attempting to sneak through the House without debate and without any committee oversight.

That was GOP Rep. Steve Buyer speaking to acting Speaker of the House Laura Richardson (CA-37) on the floor of the House on Tuesday. Well, actually, his quote ends with the word “power,” but we’re pretty sure he was thinking the rest of it.

Buyer wanted to be recognized to speak about a piece of legislation the Democrats were attempting to sneak through the House without debate and without any committee oversight.

When she wouldn’t give him five minutes to speak, he asked for one minute.

Richardson, never known as a genius, was obviously unused to wielding the gavel and didn’t know what to do. Didn’t have a clue. You can see her repeatedly looking to her right (camera left) to get instructions from House Democrat minions.

The longer it went on, the more aggravated Buyer got. Eventually, enraged at her high-handed tactics, he erupted, saying, “This is why the American people have thrown you out of power.”

Then, while Richardson got more and more confused, Buyer, who knew he was unlikely to get any more camera time to voice his complaints, decided to show his frustration by pacing back and forth in front of the podium where he would continue to be seen.

Our favorite moment? Watch for his exasperated response when Richardson calls an unexpected recess rather than allow him to speak.

CONGRESS BANS SHOUTING ON THE INTERNET!!!!!

The geniuses in Washington, DC took a long, hard look at the critical issues facing the nation and decided that what we really need right now is a new law regulating the audio volume of TV commercials.

We lied. Congress did nothing about all-cap shouting on the internet, but don’t be surprised if that comes next.

CONGRESS TO THE RESCUE!!!!! AMERICA IS SAVED!!!!!

Instead, the geniuses in Washington, DC took a long, hard look at the critical issues facing the nation and decided that what we really need right now is a new law regulating the audio volume of TV commercials.

BREITBART.COM HAS THE DETAILS!!!!!

The House on Thursday gave final congressional approval to a bill that would prevent advertisers from abruptly raising the volume to catch the attention of viewers wandering off when regular programming is interrupted.

The bill’s House sponsor, Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., said it was her own “earsplitting experiences” that got her involved, recalling how the ads “blew us out of the house” when she watched television, already set at a high volume, with her parents.

But she said her office also has gotten many messages of support and that at home people come up to her in restaurants and supermarkets to ask how the bill is doing.

“TV programs use a variety of sound levels to build dramatic effect. But advertisements have been neither subtle nor nuanced,” Eshoo said after the House passed the bill on a voice vote. When the law goes into effect, she said, “consumers will no longer have to experience being blasted at.”

Yeah, loud TV commercials are annoying. But, c’mon, how about passing a damn budget, guys. Didn’t the people speak loudly enough in November?

Disarmed and dangerous

Michael has no arms, but is still a crack shot. He uses his feet to fire a pistol. But why do we have to read about this remarkable American in a British newspaper?

No one can accuse this guy of having an itchy trigger finger. But why do we have to read about this remarkable American in a British newspaper?

The Daily Mail UK has the story:

Here’s a man who hasn’t let his disability get in the way of his favourite hobby.

Michael has no arms, but is still a crack shot. He uses his feet to fire a pistol.

The bandanna-wearing marksman can be seen in an astonishing video clip sweeping the internet lying on the bonnet of a car, firing round after round of shots.

Michael rolls up his jeans, rests his feet on some cushions and, having re-loaded the gun unaided, let’s rip with another volley.

Squeezing the trigger of the pistol with the toes on his left foot and aiming with his steadying right foot, he warns: ‘Tell them: “If they want to come and screw with the U.S., come on!”‘

Just a guess on our part, but we’d say Michael’s a Republican. If he were a Democrat (1) he’d be anti-gun, (2) he’d want to understand why the terrorists are so angry, and (3) he’d wallow in his victimhood.

We believe the actual quote was, “NO ONE WILL TAKE US SERIOUSLY ANYMORE!!!!!!! AND OUR FUNDING WILL BE CUT OFF!!!!!! AND WE’LL STOP HAVING THESE POSH ANNUAL OUTINGS AT FANCY INTERNATIONAL RESORTS!!!!!!”

But let’s not quibble. The AP’s paraphrase was close enough.

Democrat Nicolas Cage runs his personal finances like Democrats have run the country’s finances with the same results

Actor Nicholas Cage lost his Bel-Air estate to foreclosure earlier this year. Two weeks ago, an anonymous buyer grabbed the mansion for $10.5 million in cash, less than a third of its original listing price.

Critics say Nicolas Cage is a lousy actor. We don’t know if that’s true, but we do know that he’s a lousy economist.

nicolas-cage
If it walks like a Democrat and talks like a Democrat and spends like a Democrat...

Cage has proven his Democrat bona fides by giving money to Al Gore, to the California Democratic State Central Committee, to Frank Lautenberg, and to others. On top of that, he’s been named Global Citizen of the Year by the United Nations. And, finally, he supports Amnesty International.

He’s such a loyal Democrat, in fact, that he follows the party’s economic policies in his personal life. With the same disastrous results.

Doug Ross has the details:

Actor Nicholas Cage lost his Bel-Air estate to foreclosure earlier this year. Two weeks ago, an anonymous buyer grabbed the mansion for $10.5 million in cash, less than a third of its original listing price.

Although Cage is reported to have earned $40 million in 2009 alone, he’s suing his former manager for collecting outsized fees and giving ruinous advice. For his part, the ex-manager claims Cage engaged on a “spending binge of epic proportions”, noting that in 2008 the actor had owned “15 palatial homes around the world, four yachts, an island in the Bahamas, a private Gulfstream jet and millions of dollars’ worth of art and jewelry.”

Rumor has it that Timothy Geithner will be leaving the Obama administration early next year. May we be the first to suggest that Nicolas Cage would be a worthy replacement.

The always classy Ed Schultz, who worshipped at the altar of Teddy “Chivas On The Rocks” Kennedy, seems to think John Boehner has a drinking problem.

Schultz: Yeah, why waste a dinner on John Boehner when he’s probably only going to bring a bottle of Ripple anyway? Yeah, he’s a cheap wine guy. Lot of stuff doesn’t get reported, but he’s a cheap wine guy. I don’t know if you knew that or not. Well, maybe he’ll bring Boone’s Farm.

We’re waiting for Schultz to report the story of Boehner driving his car off a bridge and killing a girl or Boehner being involved in a “waitress sandwich” with Chris Dodd or Boehner getting so drunk that he doesn’t recall his nephew committing rape.

Apparently, Schultz is an elitist and his real problem is that Boehner’s drink of choice isn’t something classy like Chivas and that Boehner doesn’t repeatedly embarrass himself in public like the Lion of the Senate did oh-so-many times.

If at first you don't succeed, give your successor advice on how to succeed

Jimmy Carter wants to see President Barack Obama drop his efforts at bipartisanship during the next two years, and he thinks the president will heed his call.

“In the next two years, President Obama will be much more independent in fighting hard to prevail and not trying to reach out,” the former president said in an interview with CBS News on “Washington Unplugged.” “I think he’ll be a much more tough proponent of what he stands for in the future, giving up on Republicans’ support and taking his case to the American public.”

Meanwhile, Carter will meet with Obama on Tuesday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs confirmed.

Carter had planned to meet with the White House’s national security adviser, Tom Donilon. Obama then asked Carter if he would stop by for a meeting, Gibbs told reporters on Tuesday.

What advice could Carter possibly have? How to handle the Iranian threat? How to improve the economy? How to control a domineering wife?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall of the West Wing.

“Fair Game” gets foul reception at the box office

Fair Game, Sean Penn’s movie about poor, innocent Valerie Plame and the evil Bush administration, is a dog. A flop. A bomb. A stinkeroo. A total box office failure.

Even liberals won’t show up at the box office for Sean Penn’s latest lunacy.

Fair Game, Penn’s movie about poor, innocent Valerie Plame and the evil Bush administration, is a dog. A flop. A bomb. A stinkeroo. A total box office failure.

The movie, which stars serial liberal wacko Penn and Naomi Watts, has rung up a paltry $4,393,000 in American ticket sales in 21 days of release. It’s worldwide take is just $9,349,628.

Considering that it cost $21 million to make, the investors are taking a well-deserved bath.

In comparison, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, the number one movie in the country, has brought in $170,000,000 in seven days, which proves that there is a market for fantasy films, just not for liberal fantasies.

Here. Here’s the 2-minute trailer. Watch it and consider yourself lucky you didn’t plunk down any money to see the whole movie.

Blue Dog Democrat Ben Chandler: Is he dumbfounded or just plain dumb?

Heads are going to roll, you think to yourself. And then you find out that your surviving colleagues think Nancy did a dandy job and should remain as the Democrats’ leader in the House.

Do you think you’d describe yourself as (a) shocked, (b) pissed, (c) dumbfounded, or (d) all of the above.

Rep. Ben Chandler (Ky.), who won reelection by only 648 votes, said in a recent interview that he blames outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for Democrats’ deep defeats in the midterms.

“If not there, where else does the responsibility lie?” Chandler told McClatchy. “You’re talking about the loss of 60 or something seats held by capable public servants. There had to be something going on at a level above them.”

He added, “If that isn’t the lesson, I don’t know what is.”

Chandler, a member of the moderate Blug Dog Coalition, voted against Pelosi for caucus leader, saying that her opponent, Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.), was a “better fit” for his district.

“It baffles me that you can suffer the largest defeat since 1938 and still maintain the leadership of your caucus,” Chandler said of Pelosi.

Well, Ben, you’re one step ahead of us. We still can’t figure out how a radical like Pelosi became your party’s leader the first time around.

It never ends: Austrian man yodels, offends Muslim neighbor, fined by court

The Kronen Zeitung newspaper claims Helmut G. was told by a court in Graz, Styria, that his yodelling offended his next-door Muslim neighbours.

We would have said that yodeling is odd, but not offensive. But what the hell do we know? We’re not Muslim.

The Austrian Times has the Yodel-Ay-Ee-Oooos news:

An Austrian has been fined for yodelling while mowing his lawn, according to a report.

The Kronen Zeitung newspaper claims Helmut G. was told by a court in Graz, Styria, that his yodelling offended his next-door Muslim neighbours.

The men reportedly accused the 63-year-old of having tried to mock and imitate the call of the Muezzin. The daily paper writes the Austrian was fined 800 Euros after judges ruled he could have tried to offend them and ridicule their belief. The Muslims, whose nationalities were not revealed by the report, were right in the middle of a prayer when the Austrian started to yodel.

“It was not my intention to imitate or insult them. I simply started to yodel a few tunes because I was in such a good mood” the man told the newspaper today (Mon).

In case you’d like to offend a sensitive Muslim (is there any other kind?) in your neighborhood, here’s a video that should do the trick.

Open your window and turn it up real loud.

For god’s sake, man, is there nothing the liberal media won’t forgive or explain away?

The Editor was teased unmercifully as a child because he was so skinny. And the Administrator was teased unmercifully for being so damn good looking. And neither of us has ever given away any state secrets.

Of course, that may be explained by the fact that no one has ever trusted either of us with state secrets. Or any other kind of secrets.

But that’s another story.

Bono and Al Gore argue about which of them is the bigger environmental hypocrite

Here’s Bono expressing his philosohy in Tokyo back in 2008:

“My prayer is that we become better in looking after our planet.”

The environmental group Keen for Green responded with high praise:

If your (sic) looking for an environmental role model, Irish rockstar, Bono (born Paul David Hewson, May 10, 1960), of the band U2 is a good place to start. Bono … participated in a tree planting ceremony in Tokyo Bay, Japan, in 2008, where efforts are being taken to turn a landfill into an 88 hectare forest. Bono has also been active in the Greenpeace community since 1993 when his entire band participated in a protest against a nuclear power plant, Sellafield, in England. And of course, Bono is self-reported avid recycler and drives a car which runs on ethanol instead of gasoline.

Now here’s Bono expressing his hypocrisy in Melbourne in 2010:

U2’S 360 Degrees tour, the most expensive rock spectacle ever, is here. The tour, with a daily running cost of $850,000, arrived on six 747 jets…

“You compare a tour by the number of trucks they use,” production manager Jake Berry said. “The Rolling Stones ran 46 trucks. We are running 55. This is the biggest.”

And here’s how the environmentalist groups responded:

And now, ladies and gentlemen, here’s U2 performing their international megahit, “We Are Big, Bloody Environmental Hypocrites (or Something Like That).”

In ObamaWorld, the skies open and Lord Obama descends from the heavens to spread joy and enlightenment to the masses.

Michelle Obama speaks, an enthralled nation listens:

“If I had to pick the man I’d want to be in politics – the kind of person that we seek out in this country – somebody who’s honest and sincere and smart as a whip – he would be the person I would pick, and that has always been why I followed him into these escapades because I would feel guilty to think that because of me somebody like him didn’t do what this country needed. And I still feel that way. And I’ll feel that way until the job is done.”

Hey, wait just a darn second. Did she say escapades? If we’re not mistaken, Michelle just admitted that Obama’s policies have been illegal.

Princeton.edu’s online dictionary defines an escapade as an “adventure: a wild and exciting undertaking (not necessarily lawful).”

But let’s not take the word of just one dictionary. Let’s double check this. Wikitionary.com calls it “a daring or adventurous act; an undertaking which goes against convention.”

And just to make sure, let’s triple check. Merriam-Webster.com says it is “a usually adventurous action that runs counter to approved or conventional conduct.”

We’re not surprised she believes it, just surprised she admits it.

When Arizona kids get an “F” in school, it stands for Fat

Chubby elementary school children in Flagstaff, Ariz., have more than just bullies to worry about. If they’re too fat, their school will notify their parents.

This gives a whole new meaning to grading on the curve.

The Daily Caller has the latest skinny…uhhh…let’s change that to the fat facts:

Little Johnny just got an F+.

Chubby elementary school children in Flagstaff, Ariz., have more than just bullies to worry about. If they’re too fat, their school will notify their parents.

Starting in the fall, students in the Flagstaff district will be weighed and measured at school. Students who are found to be overweight, marginally overweight, or underweight will have a letter sent home to their parents, which will include graphs showing a range of appropriate weights for a given age and height.

This is just such nonsense. When the Editor’s wife, who is now a goddess, was in school she was a fat girl (do me a really big favor and don’t tell her I said that.) And when the Editor himself was in school, he was so damn skinny that he looked like a pipe cleaner with ears and yet he is now a golden bronzed Adonis whose lean, muscular body makes strong women swoon.

Kids grow. Kids change. Unfortunately, liberal nanny staters do neither.

Snow is expected to blanket Britain today with no part of the country escaping the big freeze.

London, the South East and the Midlands, which had until now largely escaped the worst of the severe weather, are all likely to be covered by up to two inches of snow, forecasters have warned.

Siberian winds will make it feel as cold as -12c in some areas, in what is already the coldest November for a quarter of a century.North-east England and Scotland, which were deluged by 2ft of snow over the weekend, are also braced for fresh falls.

… The AA reported an ‘unprecedented’ demand for its services for this time of year, with more than 2,100 calls an hour yesterday. Helen Chivers, of the Met Office, said it had been the heaviest snowfall for late November since 1993 – and the worst was yet to come.

“I don’t think there’s anybody in the world who fears Barack Obama,” he ranted. “I don’t think anybody does!”

Bill is correct. The only thing they still fear is that he’s going to start talking again.

MSNBC political analyst Richard Wolffe has written a new book called “Revival: The Struggle for Survival Inside Obama’s White House.” And somehow he found a publisher willing to lose money on another book destined to gather dust in stores across America.

Based on its title, you know this is supposed to be seen as a serious tome, but one of the more meaningful incidents in the book shows the President taking his nanny state mentality down to the personal level.

The New York Post has the snippet:

One staffer was conspicuously overweight. The president, in an incident that Wolffe believes proves how caring the man is, took it upon himself to present the aide with a salad for lunch — “then listened to him protest that he could take care of his own health. ‘I love you, man,’ Obama said. ‘I want you to look after yourself. Eat the salad.’ ”

I love you, man. Eat the salad. That is the Obama presidency in a plastic see-through clamshell. (Hold the ranch dressing!) The president loves us. He knows what’s best for us. We should bow to his superior wisdom.

… The “eat the salad” command is echoed throughout the book, which finds Obama in emergency mode at all times and always convinced that his combination of charisma, intelligence and moral authority makes him uniquely qualified to solve any problem that has bedeviled humanity for any number of generations. As Obama sees the hapless White House underling — an oaf who has never heard of salad and has been waiting for a visionary to guide him to the land of arugula — he sees the world.

Isn’t this a microcosm of Obama’s problem? He thinks can solve any problem and he thinks we are hapless oafs.

Wrong on both counts.
