Would you call this a meltdown? Pseudo-righteous indignation? Over the top smugness? Or all of the above?

Here I am at Climate Camp 2010 in Australia. Even though it’s summertime and Sydney’s weather is supposed to be like Southern California’s, we’re freezing our asses off because of global climate disruption. Or whatever we’re calling it these days.
Dear Mom and Dad:
Here I am at Climate Camp 2010 in Australia. Even though it’s summertime and Sydney’s weather is supposed to be like Southern California’s, we’re freezing our asses off because of global climate disruption. Or whatever we’re calling it these days.
Don’t worry, mom and dad. Heavy jackets and blankets will protect us from the night chill. And we know these photos will never get out because our friends in the media will continue protecting us from those gosh darn skeptics.
Strangely enough, that night time chill carried over to the next day. But the global climate disruption was far less severe and far fewer of us had to wear sweatshirts. And heavy jackets. And cover ourselves with blankets.
Driving the liberals’ moral outrage is Obama’s recent trip to Afghanistan “…where he put on a leather bomber jacket and told U.S. troops: ‘You’re achieving your objectives. You will succeed in your mission.’“
Nothing makes liberals madder than a President in leather. If you don’t believe that check out the Huffington Post’s article entitled “A Hollow Bomber Jacket.”
Nobody, and we mean nobody, is buying manly-man Obama in a bomber jacket
The article contends that the Obama presidency has been a miserable failure. When your liberal friends write things about you like “For the Obama presidency, moral collapse has taken on the appearance of craven clockwork, establishing a concentric pattern — doing immense damage to economic security at home while ratcheting up warfare overseas,” you have to wonder what your enemies are writing.
Driving the liberals’ moral outrage is Obama’s recent trip to Afghanistan “…where he put on a leather bomber jacket and told U.S. troops: ‘You’re achieving your objectives. You will succeed in your mission.’“
So now the left is comparing Obama to Johnson of all people, saying “At the end of a year with massive U.S. military escalation in Afghanistan, parallels with the Johnson administration’s unhinged Vietnam War are hard to miss”.
Of course, being compared to Johnson is a big come down for a man who was formerly compared to God.
Obama’s situation appears dire, lambasted by the right for being too soft and hated on by the left for being too hard, and no Goldilocks in sight.
Bill Maher appeared on CNN and called President Obama “a wussy.” Of course, wussy is a wussy way of saying pussy, proving that Maher and Obama are, in fact, two of a kind.
Bill Maher appeared on CNN and called President Obama “a wussy.” Of course, wussy is a wussy way of saying pussy, proving that Maher and Obama are, in fact, two of a kind.
Fox Nation has the delicately worded details:
During his appearance on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS today, Bill Maher said that he felt President Obama was acting ‘wimpy’ and ‘wussy’ lately. “I’m just so disappointed that he seems to be another in a long line of Democrats that come across as wimpy, and wussy, and whatever word you want to ascribe to it, and not standing up for what they believe in enough,” Maher said.
He also joked that “He looks beaten down….I thought when we elected him, as a comedian, two years in I’d be making jokes about what a gangster he was.”
Two mistakes in that paragraph. Maher assumed he’d be making jokes about what a gangster Obama was and then compounded his error by assuming he was a comedian.
Kerry is the last person who should be lecturing the American people on paying taxes, considering his embarrassing episode from July of this year when he got caught weaseling out of $500,000 in taxes on his new $7,000,000 yacht.
The media has been feeding us a non-stop parade of Democrats to stress the importance of the entitlement-funding class warfare they attempt to disguise as a tax increase.
For this purpose, Meet the Press host David Gregory brought on John Kerry.
Kerry is the last person who should be lecturing the American people on paying taxes, considering his embarrassing episode from July of this year when he got caught weaseling out of $500,000 in taxes on his new $7,000,000 yacht. To avoid his home state’s taxes, Kerry docked his new toy in neighboring Rhode Island. The ensuing public relations debacle caused Kerry to snap at reporters who questioned the dodge, and in the end, release a statement claiming he would dock in Massachusetts and pay his taxes. In other words, the light went on, the cockroach scurried. (Side note: According to many news sources, Kerry still hasn’t paid this tax. Gee, who’d have figured?)
Without a hint of irony this is the man David Gregory chose to lecture us on paying taxes.
And without a hint of journalistic integrity Gregory failed to ask Kerry about why he felt qualified to do so after getting busted avoiding his own.
Be sure to tune in next week, when David will welcome Bill Clinton to preach about the sanctity of marriage and monogamy.
Dan Rather warned today on MSNBC that a deal to extend all of the current tax hikes would create a demand for a primary challenge to Barack Obama from the Left in 2012.
Oh, that colorful country boy Dan Rather. He’s just full of homespun homilies. Why, as he might say, “I’m full of what comes out of the south end of a northbound bull.”
HotAir.com described the situation pretty damn well:
Dan Rather warned today on MSNBC that a deal to extend all of the current tax hikes would create a demand for a primary challenge to Barack Obama from the Left in 2012. Big progressive contributors to the Democratic Party have already concluded that Obama won’t fight for his principles, Rather told the “Lean Forward” network, and that the Bush-era tax rates would be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Actually, Rather offers a more complicated down-homish colorful metaphor, but essentially says that the Left is so shocked, shocked! that this lifetime backbencher provides no leadership that they will actively recruit someone with those qualities for the 2012 cycle.
Of course, mere hours after Rather made this dire forecast, Obama caved on all the Republican demands for extensions of the Bush tax cuts and then poked his left wing supporters in the eye by proposing his own Social Security tax cut.
As Dan might say, “I’m feeling lower than a snake’s belly in a wagon rut.”
Last year’s global warming conference in Copenhagen was hit by a huge blizzard, so the UN’s powers that be wised up and moved the conference to a tropical locale this year. Naturally, the Gore Effect strikes again in Cancun.

Eco-wackos in Cancun bury their heads in the sand to avoid weather reports
Naturally, the Gore Effect strikes again.
Ice Age Now has the story of record low temperatures at the UN’s Mexican hideaway:
“With the UN Climate Change Conference underway in Cancun to discuss the dangers of Global Warming, the resort host location is experiencing its third straight day of record cold temperatures,” says reader Richard Nathan.
Today the mercury fell to 53F in Cancun. The record for this date – 57F – was set in 2000.
Yesterday, the temperature in Cancun fell to 53F, a new record, and on Dec 5th it fell to 51F, yet another new record.
When will the eco-wackos give up this absurd global warming scam? When Hell freezes over. Or maybe when Cancun freezes over. Whichever comes first.
San Luis Obispo, California is the intergalactic headquarters of IHateTheMedia.com. It has also been named Happiest Place In America. We think those two facts are unrelated, but we wouldn’t swear to it in court.
Move over Disneyland, the IHTM headquarters of San Luis Obispo is now the happiest place on earth.
This isn’t the kind of story we usually run, but we couldn’t resist.
San Luis Obispo, California is the intergalactic headquarters of IHateTheMedia.com. It has also been named Happiest Place In America. We think those two facts are unrelated, but we wouldn’t swear to it in court.
Everything they say in this video is true, but understated. We think our town is not just the best town in the United States, but in the world.
IHateTheMedia.com’s Editor and Administrator met in San Luis Obispo. They moved their families here to get away from the horror that Southern California had become.
We both visited SLO Town many times before making our big moves. We talked to everyone we met and noticed that they all sounded as if they worked for the Chamber of Commerce. The more we visited, the more we understood why.
It’s interesting that Dominique Dawes interviewed the owner of Big Sky Café for this story, because that’s the first place The Editor and Mrs. Editor ate the first time they visited San Luis Obispo. Not a bad place to start.
Just one thing: As much as we enjoyed this video, it would have been improved immeasurably if Dominique Dawes had done it while wearing her little gymnastic leotards. Hubba hubba, Dominique.
“I can’t think of a more significant overarching civil rights issue than this,” Clyburn said, “that every nappy-headed child have the ability to connect worldwide.” We’re just not sure which part of this statement surprises us most…
Congratulations to Obama-appointed FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn. Preparing IHateTheMedia.com requires us to read a lot of crap in the course of a day and it takes a lot to surprise us anymore, but she’s done it.
“I can’t think of a more significant overarching civil rights issue than this,” Clyburn said, “that every nappy-headed child have the ability to connect worldwide.”
We’re just not sure which part of this statement surprises us most: the fact that she thinks free internet is a civil right or that she used the phrase “nappy-headed child.”
There are some things we love about the World Cup – the fans. Especially the female fans. And we just can’t imagine that Qatar, a strict Muslim country, is going to allow the enthusiastic displays of fan support that make the World Cup worth watching.
We don’t know soccer from cricket. Give us baseball and good ol’ American football.
That being said, there are some things we love about the World Cup – the fans. Especially the female fans. And we just can’t imagine that Qatar, a strict Muslim country, is going to allow the enthusiastic displays of fan support that make the World Cup worth watching.
Here’s the news: Media mogul Ted Turner thinks the world should have a one child policy. Here’s the non-news: Ted Turner is a hypocrite.
Here’s the news: Media mogul Ted Turner thinks the world should have a one child policy. Here’s the non-news: Ted Turner is a hypocrite.
Ted Turner embodies the liberal credo, "Good for me, but not for thee."
The Globe & Mail has the story:
Climate change and population control can make for a politically explosive mix, as media mogul Ted Turner demonstrated Sunday when he urged world leaders to institute a global one-child policy to save the Earth’s environment.
Mr. Turner spoke at a luncheon where economist Brian O’Neill from the U.S.’s National Center for Atmospheric Research unveiled his study on the impact of demographic trends on future greenhouse gas emission, a little-discussed subject given its political sensitivity.
… Mr. Turner – a long-time advocate of population control – said the environmental stress on the Earth requires radical solutions, suggesting countries should follow China’s lead in instituting a one-child policy to reduce global population over time. He added that fertility rights could be sold so that poor people could profit from their decision not to reproduce.
“If we’re going to be here [as a species] 5,000 years from now, we’re not going to do it with seven billion people,” Mr. Turner said.
Naturally, this speech was given to the delegates at the IPCC’s Cancun debauch-a-thon.
In the case of Ted’s parents, don’t you really think one child was too many.
Another honor for the Worst President of the Twentieth Century. People like every former President except Carter more than they did four years ago. Once again, Jimmy stands alone.
Another honor for the Worst President of the Twentieth Century. People like every former President except Carter more than they did four years ago. Once again, Jimmy stands alone.
Gallup has the story:
Of the nine U.S. presidents who have served in the past 50 years, John F. Kennedy continues to earn the highest retrospective job approval rating from Americans, now 85%. Ronald Reagan ranks second, with 74%. While these presidents’ ratings are largely unchanged from 2006, Bill Clinton’s rating has improved, putting him in third place, while Jimmy Carter, at 52%, has dropped from third to sixth. Richard Nixon remains the lowest rated.
For god’s sake, Jimmy, even Richard Nixon is more popular than he was four years ago. For your own good, please go away. Stop the endless legacy rehabilitation tour. It’s not working. The more people see you, the less they like you.
Hmmmm. Another one of those remarkable similarities to President Obama. This is starting to sound like that old “Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln and Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy” meme.
A significant production problem with new high-tech $100 bills has caused government printers to shut down production of the new notes and to quarantine more than one billion of the bills in huge vaults in Fort Worth, Texas and Washington.
If practice truly makes perfect, one would think that the Obama administration would be expert at the art of printing money. Turns out they can’t even do that right.
CNBC/Yahoo Finance have the information on the latest incompetence:
The new $100 bills are worthless, much like the rest of our currency
A significant production problem with new high-tech $100 bills has caused government printers to shut down production of the new notes and to quarantine more than one billion of the bills in huge vaults in Fort Worth, Texas and Washington, DC, CNBC has learned.
Initially scheduled for release in February of 2011, the new bills were announced with great fanfare by officials at the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve in April. At the time, officials announced the new bills would incorporate sophisticated high-tech security features, including a 3-D security strip and a color-shifting image of a bell designed to foil counterfeiters. But the production process is so complex, it has instead foiled the government printers tasked with producing billions of the new notes.
An official familiar with the situation told CNBC that 1.1 billion of the new bills have been printed, but they are unusable because of a creasing problem in which paper folds over during production, revealing a blank unlinked portion of the bill face. A second person familiar with the situation said that at the height of the problem, as many as 30 percent of the bills rolling off the printing press included the flaw, leading to the production shut down.
The total face value of the unusable bills, $110 billion, represents more than ten percent of the entire supply of US currency on the planet, which a government source said is $930 billion in banknotes. For now, the unusable bills are stored in the vaults in “cash packs” of four bundles of 4,000 each, with each pack containing 16,000 bills.
Our solution: Let’s outsource the printing to China and eliminate the middleman.
Remember Obama’s victory speech in St. Paul, Minnesota when he said of his election, “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal. Damn it, it looks like he was right.
Remember Obama’s victory speech in St. Paul, Minnesota when he said of his election, “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”
Sure, we laughed at what seemed like a megalomaniacal statement, but, damn it, it looks like he was right.
Al Gore said the world’s major coastal cities would be underwater by the end of the century, but according to data from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, we’ve been saved from a hydrological hell by the power and glory of Barack Obama.
Physorg.com has the story of our salvation:
According to the new results, the annual world average sea level rise is about 1 millimeter, or about 0.04 of an inch. In some areas, such as the Pacific Ocean near the equator and the waters offshore from India and north of the Amazon River, the rise is larger. In some areas, such as the east coast of the United States, the sea level has actually dropped a bit over the past decade.
The surface of the sea is a constantly shifting fabric. To achieve a truer sense of how much the sea is changing in any one place, scientists measure the strength of gravity in that place. Measuring gravity over a patch of ocean or dry land provides an estimate of how much mass lies in that region. The measured mass depends on the presence of such things as mountains, glaciers, mineral deposits, and oceans.
If the gravity measurement for a place is changing, this could mean that the place is losing mass because of a retreating glacier or gaining mass if, as in the ocean surrounding Antarctica, new melt water is streaming in.
The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, or GRACE for short, consists of a pair of satellites moving in an orbit that takes them over the South and North Poles. The two craft, nicknamed Tom and Jerry after the television cartoon characters, send constant signals to each other to determine their relative spacing to about 10 microns — one-tenth the width of a human hair — over a distance of 130 miles. If the first craft flies above a slightly more weighty area of the Earths’ surface — like a mountain range — it will be tugged a bit out of place, an effect picked up by a change in the relative spacing of the craft.
Gore said oceans would rise by 20 feet by the end of the century. The IPCC said it would be more like two feet. Now it looks like it will be more like two inches.
See? The rise of the oceans has been slowed just like Barack Obama said. Don’t know about you, but we feel like such fools for not believing him.
Don’t you just know that no matter how many unemployed we have, President Obama, deep in his heart of hearts, wishes he could add one more to the number.

Think we’re kidding? Not according to this story from US News & World Report:
Order in the next fifteen minutes and get a free set of ginzu knives. Perfect for emasculating your political opponents and cheating husbands.
Over two years after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got shellacked by Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic primaries, she remains in debt and has gone the Home Shopping Network path to raise money: Selling signed copies of a DVD recording of her Democratic Convention speech. In an E-mail to her Hillary Clinton for President supporters, she begs with a repeat of a speech line: “You never gave in. You never gave up. And together, we made history.”
The deal, her group says, is simple: Pay $50 and get a DVD of the speech. Pay $250 and it comes with a “signature” DVD. Act now, comes a warning, because there are only 50 of those available.
Our first reaction to this is to laugh our asses off. Our second reaction is to encourage you to buy as many of these DVDs as possible. The last time the Clinton’s were this desperate for cash ICBM technology got sold to the Chinese.
What could be worse than that you might ask? Two words: sex tape.
Here are thirteen Che Guevara facts that the left never mentions. Thirteen things that, if they were widely known, would contribute to far fewer T-shirt sales.
According to the leftist mythology that’s been built up over the last 50 years Che Guevara was a brave, noble soldier who loved freedom and sacrificed his life so that others could achieve it.
Ha! Here are thirteen Che facts that the left never mentions. Thirteen things that, if they were widely known, would contribute to far fewer T-shirt sales.
Che Guevara, vicious mass murderer and T-shirt icon
Che’s famous motorcycle tour of South American is mostly myth. The motorcycle broke down early in the trek and it was completed with other means of transportation.
Che was nicknamed Chancho (Pig) by his schoolmates because he rarely bathed.
Soon after Batista was overthrown, Guevara had hundreds of Cuban government officials executed. Notice that the phrase “fair trial” was conspicuously absent from the previous sentence.
Che was a brutal murderer. He trained and commanded firing squads that executed thousands of men, women and children deemed enemies by the new Castro regime. He once put a bullet in the head of a fellow guerrilla he suspected of disloyalty.
Che was not a fan of our First Amendment. He opposed freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and protest. Can you say North Korea?
All those college kids wearing their Che T-shirts might be surprised to learn that he supported the repression of rock ‘n roll in Cuba.
Homosexuals did not fare well in Che’s Cuba. He mounted a campaign to have them jailed.
La Revolución, si! Free elections, no!
See the photo to the right? It was taken in an Obama campaign office in Texas. The volunteer who put the poster on the wall might be surprised to learn that her hero opposed free elections.
Che never won a Nobel Prize for Economics with good reason. Castro put him in charge of the Cuban economy, but his strident communism immediately put it on a downward economic death spiral.
Che fled Cuba in the mid-1960s not to spread Communism throughout the hemisphere, but because he had so totally screwed up his private life. He was a profligate adulterer who deserted two wives, countless mistresses and numerous children.
Che hoped that the Cuban missile crisis would lead to an atomic war. “What we affirm is that we must proceed along the path of liberation,” he said, “even if this costs millions of atomic victims.”
Members of the Che cult claim his last words were, “I know you are here to kill me. Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man.” However, General Ovando, Chief of the Bolivian Armed Forces, reported that Che died in battle and that his last words were considerably less noble, “I am Che Guevara and I have failed.”
Another version of his final words is even more pathetic. Far from bravely facing a martyr’s death, Che’s captors reported that he begged for his life saying, “Do not shoot! I am Che Guevara and worth more to you alive than dead.”
Ironic, isn’t it, that Che’s last words were as wrong as his entire philosophy of life. As T-shirt vendors around the world have discovered, he has actually been worth far more dead than alive.
Vicky Pope, head of the climate predictions programme at the Met Office’s Hadley Centre, was stuck at Gatwick airport this week, a victim of Britain’s brutal cold snap.
No, not that Pope. In this case we’re talking about Vicky Pope, the head of Great Britain’s global warming religion.
A delegate at the IPCC's Cancun conference worries that global warming will melt her piña colada
The Guardian UK has the ironic info:
Vicky Pope, head of the climate predictions programme at the Met Office’s Hadley Centre, was stuck at Gatwick airport this week, a victim of Britain’s brutal cold snap. Ironically, she was on her way to Cancún to announce, together with the UN’s World Meteorological Organisation, that 2010 had provisionally tied with 1998 as the hottest year on record.
Imagine the delegates rising as one and chanting, “Yes we Cancun. Yes we Cancun. Yes we Cancun.”
Uh-oh. Florida’s a vital swing state and President Obama will desperately need its electoral votes in 2012. Unfortunately for the President, a proposed Arizona-style illegal alien law is popular with Florida voters.
Uh-oh. Florida’s a vital swing state and President Obama will desperately need its electoral votes in 2012. Unfortunately for the President, a proposed Arizona-style illegal alien law is popular with Florida voters.
Now the White House is scrambling, trying to figure out how they can sue Arizona to overturn its illegal alien law without suing Florida for the same thing.
Uh-oh. Floridians are just as pissed as Arizonans.
The Miami Herald has the anti-illegal info:
The first crack at an Arizona-style immigration overhaul has been filed in the Florida Senate, with a proposal that would let law enforcement officers ask suspected illegal aliens to prove their immigration status and could penalize some legal immigrants who aren’t carrying proper documentation.
The bill, sponsored by Senate President Pro Tempore Mike Bennett, R-Bradenton, is the first volley in a likely long and heated debate over the future of immigration policy in the state. Since the passage of the Arizona law last spring, many Florida Republicans – including Gov.-elect Rick Scott – have argued that Florida needs a similar law and campaigned on the issue throughout the summer and into the fall…
Bennett’s measure would allow law enforcement officers during a lawful detention or arrest to ask for the detainee’s immigration documents if the officer suspects they may be in the country illegally. The bill, however, prohibits law enforcement from using race as a reason for checking the person’s documentation. The bill also penalizes legal aliens who refuse to carry their documentation, with a possible fine of up to $100 and a 20-day jail sentence.
Damn those Floridians. First they elect a Hispanic senator who can speak eloquently without a Teleprompter and now this.
During the discussion, which is primarily aimed at expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, Gaddafi presented his proposal for the establishment of a bi-national state called “Isratine” – a combination of Israel and Palestine.
Let us warn you up front that this story sounds like a parody from the Onion, but it’s not. No, unfortunately, this is 100% authentic news.
And then the Libyan leader entertained the U.N. delegates with his spot-on impression of the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards
YNet.com has the weird details:
Every year on November 29 the United Nations General Assembly holds a discussion on the situation in the Middle East.
Usually, the “conclusions” from the event are formulized into a series of condemnations against Israel, but this year Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi managed to confuse everyone and steal the show yet again.
During the discussion, which is primarily aimed at expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, Gaddafi presented his proposal for the establishment of a bi-national state called “Isratine” – a combination of Israel and Palestine.
According to Gaddafi’s proposal, the new state will absorb millions of Palestinian refugees and will be disarmed of weapons of mass destruction.
The initiative, which is completely at odds with the international community’s position on an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, was received at first as a joke but quickly prompted confusion among UN members.
The United States and European nations immediately announced that they opposed the initiative and demanded to remove it from the agenda – but Gaddafi refused.
The nonaligned bloc, and especially the Arab group within it, did not immediately agree on a voting position, if in fact the proposal is ever brought before the assembly for a vote.
The proposal also managed to confuse African and Arab member states, which did not know whether to object, abstain, or just leave the venue.
Finally, a little comedy relief amid the humdrum corruption that is the United Nations.
Rajendra Pachauri, who should have skulked away in shame after his embarrassment last year, is back. The apparently shameless head honcho of the U.N. global warming scam hasn’t heard the news that the science is settled.
Rajendra Pachauri, who should have skulked away in shame after his embarrassment last year, is back. The apparently shameless head honcho of the U.N. global warming scam hasn’t heard the news that the science is settled.
Rajendra Pachauri doesn't need glasses to see global warming. It's everywhere.
The Associated Press reports the latest on the scum and the scam:
From the methane-laden tundra of the far north to the depths of the oceans, world governments need to spend more on cutting-edge research to “get a handle” on how much and how quickly the world will warm in decades to come, says the head of the U.N. climate science network.
“There are huge gaps in the effort as far as scientific research is concerned,” Rajendra Pachauri told The Associated Press, pointing to concerns that the Arctic’s thawing permafrost is releasing powerful global warming gases, and the oceans might eventually turn from absorbing carbon dioxide to spewing it into the atmosphere.
“What is being done today is certainly far from adequate,” said the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization whose twice-a-decade assessments of the latest climate research have been the authoritative guides to a warming world.
Don’t you just know that Pachauri’s phone is ringing off the hook right now?
“Raj, buddy, Al Gore here. What the hell were you thinking? Haven’t you seen An Inconvenient Truth? I won a Nobel Peace Prize for preventing wars that have not yet been fought and an Academy Award. The science is settled, man.”
“Lionel” he appeared on the Ed Schultz show with Republican consultant Ron Christie, an attorney and special former assistant to Vice President Dick Cheney and made both Christie and Schultz look like intellectual giants.
We’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to Randi Rhodes. We’ve always said she was the rudest, craziest denizen of Air America, but now it turns out she wasn’t. That honor belongs to Lionel. (Yes, just one name. Kind of like Cher, only less masculine.)
In case you thought there was nowhere to go but up after Air America, Ed Schultz points out that Lionel is of Lionel Media, a vast media conglomerate that, we assume, consists of Lionel and exists only in the mind of Lionel.
Anyway, he appeared on Schultz’ show with Republican consultant Ron Christie, an attorney and special former assistant to Vice President Dick Cheney and made both Christie and Schultz look like intellectual giants.
Christie, who remained calm and respecful throughout, finally got so annoyed with Lionel’s constant interruptions, histrionics and lunacy that he ends the interview with the words, “What a joke. I hope we never see you again.”
Schultz responds with, “Gentlemen, good to have you with us tonight. I thought it was great.”
Luckily, for the first time since the interview began, Lionel had nothing to say.
The current United Nations’ Cancun global warming conference is an embarrassing failure. And Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe, who has been one of the most vocal critics of the entire global warming scam, is dancing on its grave.
We love this story. The current United Nations’ Cancun global warming conference is an embarrassing failure. Instead of the world’s leaders gathering as they did last year in Copenhagen, this year’s waste-a-thon attracted nothing but lower level flunkies. People who built their reputations on global warming are now avoiding it like it has herpes.
Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe, who has been one of the most vocal critics of the entire global warming scam, is dancing on its grave. He started by doing the Watusi, followed that by doing the Twist, then did the Hully Gully, and finished up with a wild rendition of the Monkey.
Dance, Jimmy, dance. You were right all along and never gave an inch when you were standing out there fighting the good fight all alone.
We have come a long way since the last UN Climate meeting last year when President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Lisa Jackson, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and dozens of lawmakers made their way to Copenhagen to tell the world that cap-and-trade was going to pass the United States Senate. Yet the truth was it had no chance of passing. To deliver that message, I traveled to Copenhagen as a one-man truth squad. I was only on the ground for about 2 hours, perhaps the most enjoyable 2 hours of my life, but the message I delivered was clear; under no circumstances will Global Warming Cap and Trade legislation ever pass the United States Senate. The reporters and diplomats didn’t like it. They hated me for telling the truth. But here we are: I was right and they were wrong.
The fact is, nothing is going to happen in Cancun this year and everyone knows it. I couldn’t be happier and poor Al Gore couldn’t be more upset: it has been widely reported that he is “depressed” about Cancun.
But let me be clear: despite our success over the past year, global warming alarmists will continue to push their agenda. For example, some leaders in Cancun are stepping up their attacks on capitalism and United Nations officials are saying they need to do more to “spread the wealth around.” All of this is more of the same.
Remember it was French President Jacques Chirac, who said in 2000 that Kyoto Protocol was the “first component of an authentic global governance.” And Margot Wallstrom, the European Union’s former Environment Commissioner, who said in 2001 that Kyoto is about “trying to create a level playing field for big businesses throughout the world.”
Good work, Senator Inhofe. To paraphrase Barack Obama, “You won.”
When Media Matters saw this clip of Sarah Palin punching out former aide Nicole Wallace on Fox News, they immediately put it up on the Media Matters website and accused Fox of producing it.
If there’s one thing the morons at Media Matters hate more than Sarah Palin, it’s Fox News. When they can combine them both in one story, well, now that’s the jackpot, damn it.
So when Media Matters saw this clip of Sarah Palin punching out former aide Nicole Wallace on Fox News, they immediately put it up on the Media Matters website and accused Fox of producing it.
Oops. Looks like someone explained reality to them and they had to run the following correction.
*CORRECTION: This clip’s original headline stated that “Fox’s Special Report creates special video of Sarah Palin punching Nicolle Wallace.” The video Special Report ran was originally from NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Media Matters regrets the error.
Ahhh, what the hell, Media Matters. Why bother with a correction? Your original headline was as close to being accurate as you’ve come in a long time.
