Is the river rising or is the river falling? It’s doesn’t matter, just know global warming caused either.
Here’s more proof that global warming climate change wackos will say everything is caused by global warming. Absolutely everything.

To tell the truth, we were relieved when we heard Danny Glover blame the Haitian earthquake on global warming. It may be a sign that the left’s Bush Derangement Syndrome is finally fading.
To tell the truth, we were relieved when we heard Danny Glover blame the earthquake on global warming. It may be a sign that the left’s Bush Derangement Syndrome is finally fading.
Of course, we also realize that if you asked Glover what caused global warming, he would say, “It’s Bush’s fault.” So it’s really only one degree of separation.
Pat Robertson brought conservatives and liberals together in a way that Barack Obama has failed to do. Both sides agree that his comments about Haitians’ “deal with the devil” were pretty wacky. But, we trust, no wackier than his belief in anthropogenic global warming.

Here’s Robertson discussing it with noted negro and lunatic Al Sharpton.

Of course, the entourage was lead by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who also had the final decision on who could attend. The guest list included House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. And embattled noted corrupt negro Congressman Charles Rangel.
They were joined by Democrats Waxman, Miller, Markey, Gordon, Levin, Blumenauer, DeGette, Inslee, Ryan, Butterfield, Cleaver, Giffords, and by Republicans Barton, Upton, Moore-Capito, Sullivan, Blackburn.
(For the record, let’s point out that that’s a total of 15 Democrats and only 5 Republicans. And shame on the Republicans.)
The corruptocrat delegation was so large that it required three military jets — two 737’s and a Gulfstream Five — to haul their fat asses across the Atlantic in luxury.
Throw in a few Senators and a passel of staffers (most of whom were forced to endure the indignity of flying commercial at up to $2000 each) and CBS News figures there were at least 101 Congress-related attendees. They booked more than 321 total nights in Copenhagen’s luxurious 5-star Marriott Hotel.
We’re not sure if it’s caused by global warming, but we’re starting to get a little hot under the collar.
In this interview, BBC host Andrew Neal absolutely puts global warming proponent and Met Office chief John Hirst on the hot seat for his office’s abysmal weather forecasting record and outrageous salaries.
Back during the Depression, a newspaper reporter asked Babe Ruth how he could justify making more money than the president of the United States. Ruth responded, “I had a better year than he did.”
Unfortunately, that explanation won’t work for top British government climate guru John Hirst. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has had an awful year, but it shines in comparison to Hirst’s.
In this interview, BBC host Andrew Neal absolutely puts the global warming guru on the hot seat for his office’s abysmal weather forecasting record and outrageous salaries.
It’s almost laugh-out-loud-funny to watch Hirst squirm while trying to answer questions such as, “Since you can’t the summer or the winter right in your forecasts, why should we give any credence to your forecast to what the temperature will be in the 2050 or 2020, which is what you do.”

There are days when we just don’t feel funny. It’s days like that when we thank Gaia for news items like this:
A global warming protest scheduled in Salt Lake City has been cancelled because of a blizzard.
The Salt Lake Tribune provides the frozen details:
“Not many people showed up because of the blizzard conditions,” said organizer Clea Major, an international studies student at the University of Utah.
It didn’t take long for the six friends to pack up a bullhorn and posters they’d planned to use for their “scream-in,” an outlet for their frustration about the failure of the Copenhagen climate talks earlier this month to curb the pollution blamed for climate change
Still, they chatted with a few passers-by during the commuter-hour protest near the Gateway, and explained that, blizzard aside, climate change is expected to bring chaos to the global climate, said Major.
She called Wednesday evening’s effort a success and possibly the first in a series. As for the snow, it’s not entirely new; a protest she attended last year in Washington, D.C., suffered a similar fate.
“There is always the irony element,” Major said.
Well, don’t feel too badly, Clea. We’re all at the mercy of the elements.
So many freezing ass, record cold and record snow stories we can’t cover them all.

Not until late November did the UK Met Office tone down its prediction by saying that there was a ’50 per cent chance’ of a mild winter.
Global warming alert! Global warming alert!
From the same nation that brought you the ClimateGate scandal comes the weather bureau that admits it’s odds of forecasting the weather correctly are the same as if it did it by flipping a coin.
The Daily Mail UK reports the wild weather story:
This is our own famous Met Office, which last September confidently predicted a warmer than average winter for Britain. Tell that to Eurostar passengers stuck in the Channel Tunnel for 18 hours before Christmas, the breakdown of their trains blamed on the coldest weather for 15 years.
Not until late November did the Met Office tone down its prediction by saying that there was a ’50 per cent chance’ of a mild winter.
Spinning a coin could have given the same result – not one you would expect from an organisation that spends nearly £170million a year, has 1,500 staff and a team of scientists operating a £30million supercomputer capable of 1,000 billion calculations every second, with a carbon footprint the size of a small town.
Yet even with this brand-new computer in action since last August, on December 10 the Met Office predicted that it was ‘more likely than not that 2010 will be the warmest year in the instrumental record, beating the previous record year which was 1998’. That prediction stands unchanged.
How could the Met Office be so wrong, both about its barbecue summer and the mild winter? And could the answer to that question have anything to do with its remarkable transformation in recent years?
To repeat the oft-asked question, why should we believe these guys can predict the weather in 100 years when they can’t predict the weather next week?

The greens are distraught over the circus that was Copenhagen. As the Brisbane Courier-Mail reports, Aussie greens have resorted to lynching polar bears:
Copenhagen was the anti-climax of the century and the feeling of disappointment, anger and frustration from those who wanted more is palpable. In Brisbane, campaigners tied nooses around the necks of giant soft toy polar bears and threw them off balconies and bridges.
Professor Ove Hoegh-Guldberg, Director of the Centre for Marine Studies at the University of Queensland, said the political leaders were putting a “brave face on total failure”, declaring it “a triumph for the fossil fuel lobby.” The usually understated Dr John Church, principle research scientist in CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research and a world authority on sea-level rise, said: “Continued failure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions commits the world to metres of sea-level rise, with severe consequences for many millions of people and the natural environment.”
Damn, these people are hilarious. Who the hell are we going to laugh at when they are finally forced to abandon the global warming scam?
If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, you’ve come to the right place. Hell’s bells, it’s not even winter yet and the northern hemisphere is covered with unprecedented snow. Damn that global warming.

Woe is Al. The Goracle has been nailed with another inconvenient untruth by epidemiologist Paul Reiter. Mosquitos.
There's nothing worse than hearing the buzzing of a mosquito in the middle of the night. Except maybe the droning of Al Gore.
Woe is Al. The Goracle has been nailed with another inconvenient untruth by epidemiologist Paul Reiter. Here’s how the Spectator UK reports the buzz:
I am a scientist, not a climatologist, so I don’t dabble in climatology. My speciality is the epidemiology of mosquito-borne diseases. As the film [An Inconvenient Truth] began, I knew Mr Gore would get to mosquitoes: they’re a favourite with climate-change activists. When he got to them, it was all I feared.
In his serious voice, Mr Gore presented a nifty animation, a band of little mosquitoes fluttering their way up the slopes of a snow-capped mountain, and he repeated the old line: Nairobi used to be ‘above the mosquito line, the limit at which mosquitoes can survive, but now…’ Those little mosquitoes kept climbing.
The truth? Nairobi means ‘the place of cool waters’ in the Masai language. The town grew up around a camp, set up in 1899 during the construction of a railway, the famous ‘Lunatic Express’. There certainly was water there — and mosquitoes. From the start, the place was plagued with malaria, so much so that a few years later doctors tried to have the whole town moved to a healthier place. By 1927, the disease had become such a plague in the ‘White Highlands’ that £40,000 (equivalent to about £350,000 today) was earmarked for malaria control. The authorities understood the root of the problem: forest clearance had created the perfect breeding places for mosquitoes. The disease was present as high as 2,500m above sea level; the mosquitoes were observed at 3,000m. And Nairobi? 1,680m.
Al, there’s a mosquito on your face. Let us slap it.
No one’s ever accused Wikipedia of being impartial nor even particularly accurate. But Lawrence Solomon’s story in the National Post reveals how one global warming cultist, William Connolley, ingle-handedly twisted the truth in more than 5,000 Wikipedia articles on global warming.
Rule of Life #1: Never trust a pony-tailed scientist who carries a teddy bear in his backpack
No one’s ever accused Wikipedia of being impartial nor even particularly accurate. But Lawrence Solomon’s story in the National Post reveals how one global warming cultist, William Connolley, (PHOTO, RIGHT) single-handedly twisted the truth in more than 5,000 Wikipedia articles on global warming:
Connolley took control of all things climate in the most used information source the world has ever known – Wikipedia. Starting in February 2003, just when opposition to the claims of the band members were beginning to gel, Connolley set to work on the Wikipedia site. He rewrote Wikipedia’s articles on global warming, on the greenhouse effect, on the instrumental temperature record, on the urban heat island, on climate models, on global cooling. On Feb. 14, he began to erase the Little Ice Age; on Aug.11, the Medieval Warm Period. In October, he turned his attention to the hockey stick graph. He rewrote articles on the politics of global warming and on the scientists who were skeptical of the band. Richard Lindzen and Fred Singer, two of the world’s most distinguished climate scientists, were among his early targets, followed by others that the band especially hated, such as Willie Soon and Sallie Baliunas of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, authorities on the Medieval Warm Period.
All told, Connolley created or rewrote 5,428 unique Wikipedia articles. His control over Wikipedia was greater still, however, through the role he obtained at Wikipedia as a website administrator, which allowed him to act with virtual impunity. When Connolley didn’t like the subject of a certain article, he removed it — more than 500 articles of various descriptions disappeared at his hand. When he disapproved of the arguments that others were making, he often had them barred — over 2,000 Wikipedia contributors who ran afoul of him found themselves blocked from making further contributions. Acolytes whose writing conformed to Connolley’s global warming views, in contrast, were rewarded with Wikipedia’s blessings. In these ways, Connolley turned Wikipedia into the missionary wing of the global warming movement.
Who is Connolley? Here’s what Wikipedia says about him:
Connolley holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Oxford for his work on numerical analysis. Connolley has authored and co-authored many articles in the field of climatological research.
Connolley served as a parish councillor in the village of Coton (near Cambridge, England) until May 2007. He stood as a Green Party candidate for either South Cambridgeshire District Council or Cambridgeshire County Council every year from 2001 to 2005.
Of course, Connolley probably wrote his own Wikipedia bio, so we have no idea if any of it is true.
If news reports are to be believed, Copenhagen is a Danish word that means “You’re screwed.” That’s the only way to interpret these conflicting news reports.
Think of yourself as the polar bear, tenuously clinging to life on a dying planet. Waaaaa.
If news reports are to be believed, Copenhagen is a Danish word that means “You’re screwed.” That’s the only way to interpret these conflicting news reports.
The Guardian UK reports the results of the two-week Copenhagen circle jerk:
After eight draft texts and all-day talks between 115 world leaders, it was left to Barack Obama and Wen Jiabao, the Chinese premier, to broker a political agreement. The so-called Copenhagen accord “recognises” the scientific case for keeping temperature rises to no more than 2C but does not contain commitments to emissions reductions to achieve that goal.
Hold on just a darn sec. Haven’t we been told that a two degree rise in temps would wreak devastation the world over?
Prior to Copenhagen, here’s how Reuters answered the question “What happens if temperatures rise by 2 celsius?”
Hundreds of millions of people would be exposed to increased stress on water supplies, according to the IPCC in its last major report in 2007, based on research by 2,500 experts. It says more people would suffer from malnutrition, some infectious diseases and there would be more deaths from heatwaves, floods and droughts. Up to 30 percent of species of animals and plants would be at increasing risk of extinction. Coral reefs would be damaged. Cereals production would decline in tropical areas but, in one benefit, would improve nearer the poles. Coasts would suffer increased damage from floods and storms.
Now if that hasn’t scared the bejeebers out of you, the Yale Climate Media Forum will:
The Real Climate scientist bloggers strongly articulate that cautionary view: “We feel compelled to note that even a ‘moderate’ warming of 2 degrees C stands a strong chance of provoking drought and storm responses that could challenge civilized society, leading potentially to the conflict and suffering that go with failed states and mass migrations.”
MIT climate scientist Kerry Emanuel said in an e-mail exchange with The Yale Forum that 2 degrees is a “delicate compromise between what is desirable and what may be feasible.” He said there is bound to be debate on such a big issue.
“Any number much above 1 degree involves a gamble, and the odds become less and less favorable as the temperature goes up,” Emanuel wrote.
The Yale Climate Media Forum’s was just getting started:
James McCarthy, professor of biological oceanography at Harvard University and the current President of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, said that the closer the planet comes to a global average rise of 2 degrees Celsius, the less likely we are to be able to avoid climbing to even higher temperatures.
“As we approach 2 degrees, many models suggest that tipping points will be reached with respect to summer sea ice and these large masses of glacial ice,” McCarthy told The Yale Forum in an e-mail interview. “Either will result in strong reinforcing (positive) climate feedbacks, not to mention dramatic changes in the Arctic ecosystem and enhanced sea level rise.”
Models also suggest that feedback cycles could afflict both the tundra – where scientists fear a massive carbon release – and the Amazon forest ecosystem, which could rapidly dry up, McCarthy noted.
So on one hand, they want us to believe that a 2-degree rise in temperatures will seal our doom. On the other hand, they want us to believe that the world’s leaders just agreed to a 2-degree rise in temperatures.
Back in the horse and buggy days, before the invention of the internal combustion engine, scientists feared that the world would end up being buried in horse manure. Now, after two weeks of Copenhagen, everyone should realize that we’re far more likely to end up being buried in bullshit.
Our hearts go out to Rachel Maddow. She starts this report by attempting to glorify the accomplishments of President Obama in Copenhagen, but ends it shaken by the reality of a report of Obama’s failures by Andrea Mitchell.
Our hearts go out to Rachel Maddow. She starts this report by attempting to glorify the accomplishments of President Obama in Copenhagen, but ends it seeming almost shaken by reality.
What caused the sudden change of heart? A report by NBC Foreign Correspondent Andrea Mitchell, who gives a remarkably honest review of Obama’s failures at the Copenhagen circle jerk.
It’s no wonder Maddow was surprised. Because there’s certainly no reason to think Obama would fail in Copenhagen when he’s been so successful in everything else he’s done.
This photo of Air Force One returning President Obama to Andrews Air Force Base from Copenhagen clearly demonstrates the power of our president to lower temperatures.

Russia has accused British climate researchers of picking and choosing temperature data from Russian weather stations. Oddly enough, they picked only data that supported anthropogenic global warming and ignored any data that inconveniently disagreed with their dandy little theory.
Here’s another story for delegates to ignore at the Copenhagen Global Warming & Interational Bribery Conference:

Turns out fraud may be the least of the problems exposed in the East Anglia CRU emails. Incompetence may be an even bigger issue for the gurus of global warming.

10. Stay married. For better or worse.
Australian Senator Steve Fielding told a Senate hearing that divorce leads to a “resource-inefficient lifestyle” and that the planet would benefit if couples stayed married. Maybe that’s why the Clintons are still together.
9. Share a room with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
According to an article in the Irish Times, “Ireland’s Catholic bishops … said the public should adopt a simpler lifestyle to help the planet.” Hey, wait just a darn sec. Doesn’t that contradict #10?
8. Sock it to global warming
During an interview on the BBC, sculptor Antony Gormley said, “Dispense with your socks … this is a time of global warming. Through our feet we can begin to feel it.” Walk a mile in Al Gore’s shoes.
7. Fido Stroganoff
Brenda and Robert Vale, a couple of whacked out New Zealand professors, suggest that you should swap your cats and dogs for pets you can eat. Chickens, for example. Or rabbits. You can find their outstanding advice is in their new book calledTime to Eat the Dog: The real guide to sustainable living. If we were smart, we’d get ahead of the trend and do a cookbook.
6. A new kind of green movement
An Iowa company called Wallypop introduced reusable cloth toilet wipes. We predict that their main competitor will be Sheryl Crow fans who believe in using just one square per…uhhh…session.
5. The sky’s the limit
According to the Daily Mail UK, “A Japanese airline has started asking passengers to go to the toilet before boarding in a bid to reduce carbon emissions. All Nippon Airways claims that empty bladders mean lighter passengers, a lighter aircraft and thus lower fuel use.” In other words, take a pee before you take off.
4. Rent your clothes. Seriously.
The geniuses at Britain’s Waste & Resources Action Program have come out against closets full of rarely worn clothes. It’s environmentally unacceptable, you should start renting your clothes instead of buying them. Yeah, but what happens if you don’t return your rented clothes. Do you get an eviction notice?
3. Kill Bill. And everyone else.
A group of Sydney academics published a paper that said, “This paper sets out, as a thought experiment, the possibility of humanity’s willing extinction as a solution to a growing ecological problem.” Please, be our guest Mr. Gore.
2. Better living through better batter
Brits Simon and Damiana Hare reveal that they’ll go through Britain’s predicted bitterly cold winter without heating their cottage. But if it gets too cold for their infant daughter, they say, “We can heat the house by making a second batch of pancakes.” Mmmmm. Ecological and delicious!
1. Greenpiece
According to an ITN News report, “A Berlin brothel is fighting climate change and the recession by offering a discount to those clients who arrive by bicycle.” Women who are used to peddling their asses are now pedaling them.
Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years. He’s lying.
It’s been a bad couple weeks for Al Gore and it just got worse. A whole lot worse.
The global warming house of cards is falling down, but Gore decided to double down by making some frightening short term predictions about global warming. Bad move for the Goracle.
Here’s how the Times UK reports Al’s embarrassing story:
Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years.
In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”
However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.
“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”
Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.
So poor Al got caught in two different lies. First he made up a scary quote and got nailed by the scientist he was supposedly quoting. Then he tried to cover his butt by claiming that the information came to him in “a conversation” several years ago, forgetting that he said in his Copenhagen speech that these were “fresh” numbers.
So let’s sum up all the details of the story to this point:
Gore is a liar.
That’s it. That’s the whole summation. What more do you need?
A new CBS News/New York Times poll reveals some bad news for the folks over in Copenhagen – just 37% of Americans rate the issue as a high priority for government leaders.
The Al Gore Ice Sculpture is melting, just like support for global warming
A new CBS News/New York Times poll reveals some bad news for the folks over in Copenhagen – just 37% of Americans rate the issue as a high priority for government leaders.
Support, it appears, is dropping faster than temperatures because that’s down from 52% who said it was a high priority in April, 2007.
Here’s how CBS News reports the issue’s dwindling support:
A majority of Americans (70 percent) do consider global warming to be a “serious problem.” But nearly two in three either see it as “not serious” (23 percent overall) or a serious problem but not a high priority (33 percent).
In April of 2007, just 8 percent of Americans said global warming was not serious.
The change in priorities can be attributed in part to the economic downturn. In the April 2007 poll, 52 percent said protecting the environment is more important than stimulating the economy. Thirty-six percent said the economy was a higher priority.
You know what we need right about now? Another Al Gore global warming poem, that’s what.
In this video clip, Al Gore reads his awful global warming poem and Harry Smith does everything but invite Gore back to his dressing room after the show.
In this video clip, Al Gore reads his awful global warming poem and Harry Smith does everything but invite Gore back to his dressing room after the show.
Painful though it may be, please watch all the way to the end so you don’t miss Smith’s gushing overe the global warming fraud:
Smith: Wow. I’m so glad you read that. I was, really, I’m very happy… Gore: Thanks for asking me. Smith: I’m happy to hear it in your voice. Gore: Well, thank you.
C’mon, Harry, that poem would get a “C” in a junior college English class. (Which, of course, would be better than any grade Gore ever got in college).
Can you imagine how quickly Smith would have laughed at this poem if Sarah Palin had written it?
Quite honestly, though, we’re not surprised that Smith prefers Gore. The former vice president is twice the woman Palin will ever be.
Journalist, filmmaker and global warming skeptic Phelim McAleer has the effrontery to ask Al Gore a question about “Climategate’” at the UN Climate Change Conference. Then he watched Al run.

The funniest part of the interview is that Monckton demolishes the activist in that very polite, very dignified way only an Englishman could pull off.
