FBI uncovered Russian bribery plot before Obama administration approved controversial nuclear deal with Moscow

FBI uncovered Russian bribery plot before Obama administration approved controversial nuclear deal with Moscow Trump’s “crooked Hillary” appears vindicated. It’s not Trump and the Russians, it’s the Clintons, Obama, Holder, Comey et al and the Russians. Now where are the indictments?

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

Operation Fast and Furious is very damn curious

You can’t help but notice that issues that fall within the Justice Department’s purview, like controlling borders and preserving voting rights, don’t interest Attorney General Eric Holder.

You can’t help but notice that issues that fall within the Justice Department’s purview, like controlling borders and preserving voting rights, don’t interest Attorney General Eric Holder. He isn’t a golfer so just how does he spend his time?

holder-issa
Attorney General Eric Holder should probably plan on spending the summer with Rep. Darrell Issa

Congressman Darrell Issa’s committee was also curious:

“Fast and Furious” is the moniker for the Obama administration program that purposely released hundreds of sophisticated rifles, handguns and other weapsons to members of the Mexican drug cartels in an effort to link their users to crimes.

“ATF agents have shared chilling accounts of being ordered to stand down as criminals in Arizona walked away with guns headed for Mexican drug cartels,” Issa said. “With the clinical precision of a lab experiment, the Justice Department kept records of weapons they let walk and the crime scenes where they next appeared. To agents’ shock, preventing loss of life was not the primary concern.”

The DOJ sells guns to drug gangs while simultaneously suing states trying to intercept them at the border. Sounds like a movie plot about a cop on the take.

The report gets curiouser and curiouser:

The shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords created a “state of panic” within the group conducting the operation as they initially feared a “walked” gun might have been used. (p. 38)

The media told us Sarah Palin’s metaphors were responsible. We smell a journalistic rat, or rather a nest of them, creating a smokescreen to cover Holder’s (and Obama’s) butt. Where there’s smoke, there’s often fire, in this case gunfire.

Something here smells, and we ain’t talkin’ roses.

Eric Holder: Project Gunrunner? Operation Fast & Furious? Hmmm. They sound vaguely familiar

Issa grilled – absolutely grilled – Eric Holder about the Justice Department’s Operation Fast and Furious and Project Gunrunner.

Sparks flew between Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Attorney General Eric Holder Wednesday during a Judiciary Committee hearing. And we don’t mean the kind of sparks that fly between Barney Frank and random cabana boys.

Issa grilled – absolutely grilled – Holder about the Justice Department’s Operation Fast and Furious and Project Gunrunner. Holder tap danced like Mr. Bojangles. He would have gotten 9s on Dancing With The Stars.

Issa is Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and has subpoenaed documents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) relating to the highly controversial “Project Gunrunner.”

Holder claims he knew nothing about it. He claims his top assistant knew nothing about it. He also seems to be remarkably uninterested.

Unless we’re mistaken, Issa isn’t going to let this one go.

Another member of the Obama administration has joined the long, distinguished list of Democrat tax deadbeats. This time it’s the Honorable Eric Holder, Attorney General of the United States, who talks the talk, but walks out when the bill arrives.

Attorney General Eric Holder has just been so darn busy battling terrorists and fighting voter fraud that he completely forgot to pay those darn taxes

The New York Post has the deadbeat details:

US Attorney General Eric Holder and his brother failed to pay the property taxes on their childhood home in Queens, which they inherited last August after their mother died, The Post has learned.

And because their ailing mom, Miriam, was already behind on two quarterly tax bills when she succumbed to illness on Aug. 13, the charges went unpaid for more than a year — growing to $4,146.

It wasn’t until The Post confronted Holder last week about the delinquency that he and younger brother William Holder finally paid up Friday, including $73.14 in interest.

The siblings “weren’t aware of the initial missed payments, which happened in the last months of their mother’s life when she was battling illness,” said a Holder spokesman.

The subsequent unpaid bills “occurred during a time period in which the disposition of the estate is still being resolved,” said Department of Justice spokesman Matthew Miller.

“They just weren’t aware.” Next time the IRS comes after you for non-payment of your taxes, we suggest that you simply invoke the Holder defense and tell them that “you just weren’t aware.”

Eric Holder says Black Panther voter intimidation case demeans his people

To tell the truth, when we heard that Attorney General Eric Holder had uttered the phrase “my people,” we kind of hoped that he was talking about average Americans.

To tell the truth, when we heard that Attorney General Eric Holder had uttered the phrase “my people,” we kind of hoped that he was talking about average Americans. Or justice department attorneys. Or socialists. Or even guys who look like guys who starred in the old Barney Miller TV show.

No such luck. The man sworn to protect and defend the Constitution was talking about black people.

eric-holder
Shit, meet fan: Imagine if a white Attorney General had spoken of "my people"

Politico reports Holder’s rather racist rant:

Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.

Holder’s frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia.

The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, and to compare what people were subjected to there to what happened in Philadelphia—which was inappropriate, certainly that…to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line, who risked all, for my people,” said Holder, who is black.

Lord, set my people free. And when we say “my people,” we’re talking about moron bloggers. And guys who sit around in their underwear making smartass politic comments. And, oh yeah, outraged Americans.

Attorney General Eric Holder points the finger of blame at Barack Obama

ABC News has the Attorney General’s blunt admission:

“It is one of the things that keeps me up at night,” Holder said. “You didn’t worry about this even two years ago — about individuals, about Americans, to the extent that we now do. And — that is of — of great concern.”

“The threat has changed from simply worrying about foreigners coming here, to worrying about people in the United States, American citizens — raised here, born here, and who for whatever reason, have decided that they are going to become radicalized and take up arms against the nation in which they were born,” he said.

Now hold on just a darn minute, Mr. Attorney General. We thought the administration’s official position was that George Bush’s flawed policies had caused terrorism. Yet now you’re saying that radicalized American terrorists have become a problem in the last two years?

Let’s see, now who’s been President for the last two years.

Hey, that’s Barack Obama, isn’t it?

Spread the word: Eric Holder thinks his boss is the new Bushitler.

Deadbeats in DC: Congressional employees owe millions in back taxes

Federal workers across the fruited plain owe more than $1 billion in back taxes. That’s bad enough. But now comes the news that congressional employees owe more than $9.3 million.

The Washington Post has the deadbeat details:

tim geithner tax cheat
A fish rots from the head down: Tax cheat Tim Geithner apparently sets the tone for all of Washington

The debt among Hill employees has risen at a faster rate than the overall tax debt on the government’s books, according to Internal Revenue Service data. It comes at a time when some Republican members are pushing for the firings of government workers who owe the IRS and President Obama has urged a crackdown on delinquent government contractors.

The IRS information does not identify delinquent taxpayers by name, party affiliation or job title and does not indicate whether members of Congress are among the scofflaws. It shows that 638 employees, or about 4 percent, of the 18,000 Hill workers owe money.

The average unpaid tax bill is $12,787 among the Senate’s delinquent taxpayers and $15,498 among those working in the House.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it does. Poke into any corner in Washington, DC and you’ll find deadbeats:

41 White House employees owe the government $831,055 in back taxes. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis’ runs a department in which 463 employes owe $7,481,463. Eighty-one people working for the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors owe $1,076,733. And Eric Holder’s Justice Department has a remarkable 1,971 employees who have stiffed the government for $14,350,152 in overdue taxes. Janet Napolitano, Director of Homeland Security, has 4,856 employees who owe the IRS $37,012,174.

Fact is, they all owe us an apology. With penalties and interest.

Justice Department to hire ebonics translators. But it’s not one of Eric Holder’s wacky plans for social justice.

Our first thought when we read that the Justice Department wants to hire ebonics translators? It’s gotta be another one of Eric Holder’s wacky social justice schemes. But we were wrong.

Our first thought when we read that the Justice Department wants to hire ebonics translators? It’s gotta be another one of Eric Holder’s wacky social justice schemes. But we were wrong.

The Smoking Gun has the story:

The Department of Justice is seeking to hire linguists fluent in Ebonics to help monitor, translate, and transcribe the secretly recorded conversations of subjects of narcotics investigations, according to federal records.

A maximum of nine Ebonics experts will work with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Atlanta field division, where the linguists, after obtaining a “DEA Sensitive” security clearance, will help investigators decipher the results of “telephonic monitoring of court ordered nonconsensual intercepts, consensual listening devices, and other media”.

The DEA’s need for full-time linguists specializing in Ebonics is detailed in bid documents related to the agency’s mid-May issuance of a request for proposal (RFP) covering the provision of as many as 2100 linguists for the drug agency’s various field offices. Answers to the proposal were due from contractors on July 29.

Is the Justice Department trying to imply that blacks are drug dealers? Sounds like Eric Holder is a self-loathing black racist to us.

Nevertheless, polish up your resume and send it in, homeboy. (Damn it. Is there anything sadder than an old white guy using a term like “homeboy”?)

Eric Holder’s next target: Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio

If you’re the Obama administration and you look at the polls and see that a huge majority of Americans support Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law and would support similar laws for their own states, what do you do?

You’d double down and sue the popular sheriff in Arizona’s biggest county, that’s what you do.

The Washington Post has the details of the latest federal foul-up:

arpaio joe Arpaio
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has some pink underwear that will fit Eric Holder perfectly

A federal investigation of a controversial Arizona sheriff known for tough immigration enforcement has intensified in recent days, escalating the conflict between the Obama administration and officials in the border state.

Justice Department officials in Washington have issued a rare threat to sue Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio if he does not cooperate with their investigation of whether he discriminates against Hispanics. The civil rights inquiry is one of two that target the man who calls himself “America’s toughest sheriff.” A federal grand jury in Phoenix is examining whether Arpaio has used his power to investigate and intimidate political opponents and whether his office misappropriated government money, sources said.

The standoff comes just weeks after the Justice Department sued Arizona and Gov. Jan Brewer (R) because of the state’s new immigration law, heightening tensions over the issue ahead of November’s midterm elections. The renewed debate has focused attention on Arpaio, a former D.C. police officer who runs a 3,800-employee department, and a state at the epicenter of the controversy over the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal immigrants.

Maybe when we get these guys out of office, Sheriff Joe can put them in pink underwear and feed them peanut butter sandwiches every day while they serve out their sentences in his outdoor jail.

Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer showed up on CNN’s Reliable Scoures on Sunday to answer charges that he showed his true left wing leanings when he neglected to ask Eric Holder about the New Black Panters case in an interview the previous weekend.

To paraphrase Schieffer’s defense, “I’m not a left winger, I’m just incompetent.”

Here’s the verbatim Q & A:

Kurtz: Let’s start with the obvious question. Why did you not ask Eric Holder in that interview about this former Justice official’s allegation that a case against the New Black Panther Party was dropped because of racial politics?

Schieffer: Well, it’s certainly a question that is a legitimate question to ask. And basically what happened was this all really became a story when the whistleblower came out and testified that he’d had to leave the Justice Department and so on. And, frankly, had I known about that, I would have asked the question. I was on vacation that week. This happened — apparently, it got very little publicity. And, you know, I just didn’t know about it.

Apparently Sunday show hosts don’t both reading up on what happened while the were on vacation before conducting an interview after returning from that vacation.

What? The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor? I didn’t know. I was on vacation.

A compendium of Obama administration people who’ve criticized Arizona’s illegal alien law without reading it

First Attorney General Eric Holder, then Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, now State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley.

And you know that President Obama hasn’t read Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law because he’s had that laser-like focus thing of his going on creating jobs. Or stopping the oil spill. Or something.

The real question is no longer who hasn’t read it. It’s who has read it.

Anyone?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Has anyone in the Obama administration read this Arizona law they hate so much?

Janet Napolitano joined Attorney General Eric Holder as leading figures in the Obama administration who are willing to condemn Arizona’s new anti-illegal alien bill without ever having bothered to read it.

Janet Napolitano joined Attorney General Eric Holder as leading figures in the Obama administration who are willing to condemn Arizona’s new anti-illegal alien bill without ever having bothered to read it.

She admits to John McCain that she hasn’t read the law, but that doesn’t stop her from passing judgment on it.

“That’s not the kind of law I would have signed,” she told Congress. “I believe it’s a bad law enforcement law. I believe it mandates and requires local enforcement and puts them in a position many do not want to be placed in. When I was dealing with laws of that ilk, most of the law enforcement organizations in Arizona at that time were opposed to such legislation.”

In other words, “We don’t read the damn laws, we just pass judgment on them.”

Update: State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley said on Fox News this morning that he has not read Arizona’s new law (skip to minute 6:40):

It appears that the Attorney General is just plain so overloaded with work that he can’t get around to reading the laws he criticizes. You know, the laws he threatens to take to court to overturn.

Fox News has the details:

Despite repeatedly voicing concerns about Arizona’s new immigration enforcement law in recent weeks and threatening to challenge it, Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday he has not yet read the law — which is only 10 pages long.

“I have not had a chance to — I’ve glanced at it,” Holder said at a House Judiciary Committee hearing when asked had he read the state law cracking down on illegal immigrants.

Holder told reporters last month that he fears the new law is subject to abuse and that the Justice Department and the Homeland Security Department are in the midst of conducting a review.

As we recall from our high school speed reading course, it’s not just speed that’s important, it’s comprehension. And Holder seems to have problem with both.

Eric Holder squirms when asked about “radical Islam”

Could Eric Holder be any more of a weasel? In testimony before the House Judiciary Committee about the Times Square bomber, Holder danced around for two minutes, performing astounding Clinton-like feats of verbal gymnastics and contortions in order to avoid answering the simple question “Could radical Islam be to blame.” A simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed.

Words fail us. They’re also failing our attorney general.

Watch Eric “I -don’t-want-to-say-anything-negative-about-a-religion” Holder play deaf and dumb (“what?”) as he can’t bring himself to acknowledge the reason that jihadists (another forbidden word) do what they do.

Obviously this administration is more worried about Tea Parties and Arizona enforcing the federal government’s own laws against illegal aliens than about jihadists waging war on us.

America has already had more domestic jihadist attacks in 15 months under Obama than Bush had in the seven years after 9-11.

It’s awfully hard to fight an enemy you can’t name.

Shep Smith calls Eric Holder a lying sack of…uhhh…untruthfulness

Eric Holder would like to position last weekend’s narrow escape in Times Square as evidence of his department’s remarkable competence, but Shepard Smith ain’t buying it.

Eric Holder would like to position last weekend’s narrow escape in Times Square as evidence of his department’s remarkable competence, but Shepard Smith ain’t buying it.

In this clip, he repeatedly emphasizes that the narrow escape should be attributed to luck instead of Justice Department skill.

Mediaite has the telling tale of the Times Square dud:

Covering the latest Justice Department press conference with Fox News correspondent Catherine Herridge, Smith repeatedly emphasized that the bomb was faulty, police were notified of the suspicious vehicle only after the bomb’s detonator had failed. In his opinion, Attorney General Eric Holder was giving too much credit to the civilian who notified the authorities as the bomb had already “gone off” when he called the police. Holder had stated that the alert bystander “helped save lives, and thwarted a potentially devastating attack,” to which Smith replied: “this bomb was not thwarted – this bomb failed.”

Smith’s issue was not with the civilian, who he praised, but with the federal authorities, which he speculated wanted to be able to use the instance as proof of their successes in the future:

“I can think of a lot of different reasons that they would want this. For instance, down the road, next time something happens, they can say ‘we thwarted Christmas Day’ and ‘we thwarted Times Square,’ but that wouldn’t be the case. And part of our job, I think, is to not allow revisionist history to take over.”

Revisionist history is bad enough, but this administration is so brazen that we also have to worry about revisionist current events.

Two drunks and Eric Holder walk into a bar…

We have Senator John Kerry’s daughter, Senator Richard Lugar’s wife, and President Obama’s attorney general. The first two were drunk on alcohol and the latter was drunk on power.

What the hell is going on with politicians and their families? Everywhere you look these days, you find drunks. And if you’re anything like us, you’ll be shocked to learn that there’s no Kennedy connection in this story.

Instead, we have Senator John Kerry’s daughter, Senator Richard Lugar’s wife, and President Obama’s attorney general. The first two were drunk on alcohol and the latter was drunk on power.

Let’s start off with this story from the Los Angeles Times about John Kerry’s daughter:

The daughter of Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) was arrested in Hollywood early this morning for alleged drunk driving. Los Angeles police say Alexandra Kerry, 36, was stopped by police during a traffic stop at about 12:40 a.m.

Now let’s move on to Fox News for this story about Senator Richard Lugar’s wife:

The wife of U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., has been charged with drunken driving and hit-and-run after police said she hit a parked car in northern Virginia.

And finally, in the most egregious story of them all, Fox News reports the story of an Attorney General who’s drunk with power:

According to Holder, his decisions regarding the trial location of the Gitmo detainees could not be based upon a desired outcome rather a protection of the integrity of the American legal system. The trial of terrorists on American soil, Holder argued, was driven by his responsibility to uphold the “Rule of Law.”

When asked however about the possibility the detainees might be acquitted by virtue of some unanticipated technicality, Holder insisted all cases had been meticulously pored over so that only those which could be reasonably ensured a conviction would be brought before the Federal Court. Time and again, the Attorney General reiterated his confidence that the outcomes would be successful. A prosecutor himself, Holder insisted that if he had been concerned any of these cases might lead to a negative outcome, he almost certainly would have opted for a different course of action. But as one reporter justly queried, how could one possibly consider it within the spirit of the “The Rule of Law” to try certain cases in the Federal Court System as opposed to the Military Tribunals based upon an assessment of which could be guaranteed victories and which could not? And specious logic aside, many opponents have expressed their concern over the degree to which the United States Government might now be forced to divulge classified information during the impending discovery process.

In addition to being drunk with power, Holder was accused of making illegal left turns.

Lindsey Graham looks like a Republican, Attorney General looks like a fool

Well, what do you know? Lindsey Graham looks like a Republican, Attorney General Eric Holder looks like a fool.

Two reasons to love this video:

One – Lindsay Graham actually acts like a responsible Republican for once.

Two – Another member of the Obama administration comes off as an ignorant, clueless fool. This time it’s Attorney General Eric Holder.

Today’s Outrage: You’re going to pay for illegal aliens’ attorneys

Attorney General Eric Holder shrugs at the thought that taxpayers shouldn't pay for illegal alien attorneys.
Attorney General Eric Holder shrugs at the thought that taxpayers shouldn't pay for illegal alien attorneys.

In January, 2009, the Bush administration issued a ruling that said illegal immigrants facing deportation don’t have an automatic right to an attorney. That was soooo January.

Now Attorney General Eric Holder is vacating the order and instructing the Justice Department to determine if a new rule is needed. In other words, illegal aliens get free attorneys and you get the bill.

According to the Bush administration’s interpretation of the Constitution, illegal aliens were not entitled to have cases reopened because of shoddy work by their lawyers.

That sent immigrant rights groups to howling. Forget the fact that illegal aliens are criminals by virtue of the fact that they are in this country illegally. Or undocumentedly, as the activists would prefer.

After all, we are the world. We are the children. We are the taxpaying dopes.

Holder says administration will “do its best” not to release dangerous prisoners from Gitmo

Don't miss the Jihad booth at the Wednesday night Farmer's Market in Fairfax County.
Don't miss the Jihad booth at the Wednesday night Farmer's Market in Fairfax County.

The President’s going to do his best to make sure dangerous terrorists aren’t released in the United States.

Of course, this is the same guy whose best choice for Vice President was Joe Biden and whose best choice for Treasury Secretary was Timothy Geithner and whose best choice for Health & Human Services Secretary was Tom Daschle and whose best choice of a gift for Queen Elizabeth was an iPod.

CNSNews.com reports:

Attorney General Eric Holder told the House Judiciary Committee that his department will “do its best” to make sure that Guantanamo Bay detainees who pose a threat to the United States are kept imprisoned after President Barack Obama’s order to close down Gitmo is carried out.

The story continues:

Suspected al-Qaeda terrorists aren’t the only ones being detained at Gitmo. Holder was asked about 17 Chinese Muslim detainees at Guantanamo known as Uighurs (WEE-gurs).

“In terms of release [of Uighurs], we don’t have a choice, they have to be released,” said Holder during the testimony. “Unless (you’re asking) us to defy an order from the United States court.”

The Uighurs were cleared of suspected terrorism, but have been held at Gitmo because they cannot be returned to China.

Obama’s current plan is to release the Uighurs in Fairfax County, Virginia. But rest assured that the administration will do its best to keep them from slaughtering too many innocent Americans.

Source: CNSNews.com

Who said it? And when did they say it? The fun new party game that’s sweeping Washington, DC.

Gitmo. Scene of untold horrors and told unhorrors.
Gitmo. Scene of untold horrors and told unhorrors.
See if you can guess who said the following in regarding Guantanamo inmates:

“One of the things we clearly want to do with these prisoners is to have an ability to interrogate them and find out what their future plans might be, where other cells are located. Under the Geneva Convention, you are really limited in the amount of information that you can elicit from people…[They] are not, in fact, people entitled to the protection of the Geneva Convention. They are not prisoners of war…Those in Europe and other places who are concerned about the treatment of al-Qaida members should come to Camp X-ray and see how the people are, in fact, being treated.”

Was it said by:

A. George Bush in June 2007
B. Dick Cheney in October 2008
C. John Ashcroft in 2003
D. Condoleezza Rice in 2009

The answer is None of the Above.

The quote comes from Eric Holder, our current attorney general, back in 2002. Now Holder is supposed to decide whether or not to depose or indict Bush’s legal advisors. Not that you’ll ever hear him questioned about his pre-Obama views on the evening news.

Do amnesiac Democrats (abetted by their liberal media cheerleaders) really want to keep digging themselves into a “torture” hole over the use of enhanced interrogation techniques that they approved of at the time? Maybe Holder will end up indicting himself along with House Screecher Pelosi.

As columnist Victor Davis Hanson ends a recent column, “If I were the Democratic leadership, I’d move on, so to speak.”
